Helloooooo?

Is there anybody there??

Bit spookily quiet here...

whooooooooo

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 29/12/2007 15:50

I'm here, though still feeling very rough. DD's cold is clearing though she is still snotty and her breathing while feeding sounds like Darth-Vader-Baby. But at least it is coming out of her nose now (nice!). My head, throat, chest, ears and joints all ache though. Have largely sat on my (large) arse today, but got stuff to do in a but once DD has fed and finished wiping snot all over my boobs.

HellHathNoFury · 29/12/2007 15:59

Hello All
Poor you Jammy! You and yours are in the wars! I am a poet and didn't know it.

I am fine but a bit down in the dumps and bought myself a watch with my christmas money in the sales to get home and find no watch in the bag. And the shop say they can't find anything.

DS - since the sandwich episode - has taken to food in a big way.
last night he had 2 carrot batons, 1 new potato, 1/3 a lemon sole, a handful of spinach and copious amounts of white sauce. Mashed together with a fork. Then he had a tub of yoghurt.
It's about bloody time he started eating, I was beginning to think he wasn't mine

foxythesnowman · 29/12/2007 16:07

Hullo you two!

Suppose you paid cash did you Fury?

sorry to hear you are poorly Jammy. Same here, rivers of snot.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 29/12/2007 16:11

Hi fury, foxy
Watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is making me feel a bit better at least

foxythesnowman · 29/12/2007 16:14

OOOh, you're brave watching that!

Child-catcher still scares me

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 29/12/2007 16:51

the whole film scares me, same as the Railway Children.

sorry there's snot about, luckily not here, I'm just so damned tired.

baby fury might well turn out to be a food critic, he obviously wasn't impressed with bland baby food. baggins on the other hand seems aware that this is as good as it gets til he can eat daddys cooking . about your watch fury.

xmaspudnik · 29/12/2007 16:55

Fury you should get your house feng-shui-ed or something, you clearly have some bad dragons passing through in the financial luck department

foxythesnowman · 29/12/2007 16:56

Hitting the post-Christmas slump Ria?

Am pinned to the sofa by snoozing bub, but have sooo much to do. Luckily the Quality Street are within reach

Really should be re-distributing the Christmas presents around the house in a bid to find the carpet.

Can't be arsed.

foxythesnowman · 29/12/2007 16:57

Hello Spudnik

xmaspudnik · 29/12/2007 17:01

I thought with DD being away from school we might have a cold-free week or 2 but the baby is snotty again, probably caught something on the plane.

xmaspudnik · 29/12/2007 17:04

Hi there Foxy, luckily for my impending diet I left the Quality Street behind in S. Wales.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 29/12/2007 17:14

Oh god - I still have 3 unopened tins of bisuits and an unopened tin of Celebrations.....what is a woman sposed to do....

"Rivers of snot" is a fab description - exactly what we have here as well .

Just put all DDs 3-6 clothes away and got out all the 6-9 stuff....also packed baby bath and bouncy chair.... where has the time gone....I'm trying really hard not to get broody

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 29/12/2007 17:18

I have bags of clothes and nappies now too small for DD (yet one 0-3 months babygro still fits, just). When DH puts xmas decorations in loft they can go too, along with chair and bath seat, as per Norty.

Too many xmas treats on the side table to contemplate dieting soon, but will be joining in when the time comes...

LittleMissNorty · 29/12/2007 17:21

Also took all the decorations and tree down today and gave lounge a good clean....MUCH better....

Xmas is too much like hard work sometimes (I know what a miserable cow....)

sputnik · 29/12/2007 17:44

Good idea LMN!
All that pudding was weighing me down

HellHathNoFury · 29/12/2007 18:32

Foxy - I paid by credit card - does it make a difference?

Debenhams (where I bought the watch) have offered me a refund/replacement if I take the receipt back tomorrow!! Watch this space.
It was only a £25 watch but hey!

Baby fury is a food critic yes. He had steak and chips tonight. With mushroom sauce no less.
I suppose I should feel flattered he likes my cooking so much but I wish I hadn't paid for all the bloody jars now.

andiemisletoe · 29/12/2007 18:35

hi everyone hope you are all well and recovering from the excesses of xmas

have had terrible day today was stopped at traffic lights and silly woman in mercedes shunted me had both dcs in car with me was vv upset as she was going really fast and my car is all smashed up front and back and can't be driven
she said twas my fault for being stopped I think she was on the phone as I asked her to call an ambulance as lo was screaming so much and she said she didn't have a phone then I saw her with one

anyway police came and is just an insurance job but now have no car until it is assessed dcs are both ok but we are all shaken up she also wasn't wearing shoes so think she was dangerous driver all round

feel sad as my car was all lovely and shiny and is now crumpled wreck and am just about to sell it to get new one

hope you all had a better day than me will need to eat lots of xmas chocies to recover

HellHathNoFury · 29/12/2007 18:37

Andiem that's awful!!
There is nothing worse

I hope and the LO's are all ok.

andiemisletoe · 29/12/2007 18:45

thanks fury we also have to get 2 new car seats as they cannot be used again dh can go and get some tomorrow in his car

she was a right silly moo but I think she knew she was in the wrong as she was shouting it is all your fault at me

HellHathNoFury · 29/12/2007 19:07

can you claim the car seats on insurance?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 29/12/2007 19:20

andie. That's really awful. Are you all okay?

We went to the Tate today (cultured we are ). It was lovely. Caught up with a college mate of DHs who is getting married in Singapore in March.

Guess who's going to Singapore in March then on to oz for a catch up with friends and family (yes, we are still going out but a bit later in the year).

andiemisletoe · 29/12/2007 19:22

yes fury we can claim them on the insurance and I assume her insurance will then have to pay for them
hope you get your watch sorted

we love tate modern in this house annobal we go every school holiday

annobalthebignosereindeer · 29/12/2007 19:23

Sorry about your watch too Fury - hope you can get it sorted.

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 29/12/2007 19:56

Evening everyone!

Andie, that is awful, hope you are ok. It is clearly not your fault. If you were stationary and someone smashed into you then it will always be their fault (obv unless you were on the wrong side of the road!). She sounds like a mega bitch. Hope you get your car sorted soon. Just what you need after christams.

Fury, hope you get your watch sorted too. I would be completely fuming. Tossers!

I got a free Wii!! I bought one from Game and sold it on ebay. It came with loads of games, which I sent back to them for a refund. After about 2 weeks the refund hadn't gone through, so I phoned them to see what was happening. The parcel had never arrived there, so I sent them proof of postage and they refunded me the whole price (including the Wii which I didn't send them in the first place)! WooHoo! So we bought one from HMV! Am I a thief?

If anyone needs anything to wear to bed for bfing in? Blooming Marvellous have got these sets which are super cheap. I have 3, one blue, one black and one pink! Not supportive enough to go wear as a bra, but perfect as pjs.
