peppa pig campervan here. its pretty cool.

table football is the best pressie - but the worst thought-out one - takes up half the living room!

annobalthebignosereindeer · 27/12/2007 19:49

Sorry you're not feeling well Foxy but it is a good thing that you had such a lovely SS to provide such a thoughtful present

Anyone heard anything from Daisy?

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 27/12/2007 19:50

Next and M&S were the only shops open early, so I went there. Got myself a coat in Next and loooooooads of stuff for ds and got myself some cords on M&S. It was then 8.30, so I became one of those saddos that stands outside shops waiting for them to open! I stood outside John Lewis for half an hour and as soon as it opened people started running in...I don't really understand why! I only got some crockery in there.

I might do the other shops tomorrow at a reasonable hour!

Wooden garage went down very well (despite taking 2 hours to put together). Playmobil airport also a huge hit (and also took ages to put together)

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 27/12/2007 19:52

Daisy emailed me on the 22nd saying her mum was not good...I just really hope she got to spend christmas with her .

annobalthebignosereindeer · 27/12/2007 19:52

You're much braver than me Holly - but then my closest shopping centre is probably Bluewater...

annobalthebignosereindeer · 27/12/2007 19:53

I hope so too

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 27/12/2007 20:24

Hi all. We went sale shopping today. Both got a bag of swag from Lush, and if you spent £15 (which we each did) you got to pick from a selection of their gift packs which were getting a little bit old (had to have been made before Dec 1st I think). You could pick ANY gift box if the date was right, whatever it's value - they had some gift boxes worth £100 and DH carefully checked each and every one of them but none fell into the "free loot" date range . Still we each got a free gift box , costing £25 - £30 each. We also got DH some clothes from Fat Face, DD some clothes from Next and Debenhams. And I finally got myself a pair of slippers, so no more whinging about cold feet at 2am .

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 27/12/2007 20:30

BTW now making soup with leftover goose. Hope it'll be yummy . Got so much leftover goose even after 2 (or 3?) meals of sandwiches made with leftover meat, making a few meals worth of mixed veg & goose puree for DD and making a big batch of soup. Have frozen a load and still have some slices in the fridge for more sandwiches. And we have so much cheese, ham, cake, mice pies, biscuits, crisps and other imperial titbits that I don't think we'll run out of food for a month!

foxythesnowman · 27/12/2007 20:34

Ahh, that traditional Christmas fayre, but what do you do with the tails?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 27/12/2007 20:36

foxythesnowman · 27/12/2007 20:39

Mice pies!

See, I read your posts properly!

(No offence meant, Jammy, but made me chuckle )

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 27/12/2007 20:48

No offence taken, Foxy

Lawdy, we just opened the fridge up (DH wanted sandwiches with his soup, not just bread & butter) and found leftover bread sauce and stuffing balls as well. And that's not not mentioning the stock and goose fat (enough of that to lard me up to swim the channel if I felt so inclined )

foxythesnowman · 27/12/2007 20:49
