xmaspudnik · 28/12/2007 14:19

Actually I don't think that'll take very long. And why oh why did I let DD try a Duchy Original oat biscuit? They're mine, MINE

HellHathNoFury · 28/12/2007 14:21

Norty I got a maxi cosi Tobi, I love it. I got one in bright red.

DS seems to love it too and is much happier on long car journeys.

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/12/2007 16:03

Poor DH! I just went to the doctors and DD cried madly for the 35 mins from when I put my boots on to go out until when I got back She's definitely put put when I disappear for a bit. Anyone else get this?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 28/12/2007 16:04

oops - should've been put out not put put!

xmaspudnik · 28/12/2007 16:43

DD was like that, to the point where my MIL refused to look after her. Baby Sputnik is better, I left him with my sis for a couple of hours the other day and he was good as gold.

justbeme · 28/12/2007 17:16

Well I must be weird then as due to BFing - Im now about 6lb lighter than I was pre pregnancy (but not toned!)

Went to some Sales today - load of rubbish - plus the discounts due at the till were supposed to be between 33-50% off normal price - the cashier forgot to give me discount on 5 items (which after 10 minutes they rectified) and now Im home, Ive realised that 2 tops for L should have been 50%off and I only got 33% off!) - I bet that stupid cashier was doing that to people ALL day.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 28/12/2007 17:27

Hello all

How are you doing?

I got back from N wales today. was a pretty stressful visit, dd didn't like the travel cot & took an hour or so to get to sleep each night, then 1st night woke up crying at 12.30 & last night 5am. Not too hideous but stressful when staying with my friend and her mum & PIL! & there's just no break, oh everyone wants a cuddle but then the novelty wears off & there's no dh to shove the baby to while I go off an have a bath!

I'm lol at your HV fury! "he just wants a sandwich"! Bless him!

BLW is actually going well, though it caused a big row with dh on the second day, god he is so precious! But i am totally cool with it, gagging and all. So far dd is liking pear, nectarine, rice cakes and hummous (though minor panic at salt content of hummous. might have to make my own!), bread, oh an home made gingerbread cookies ( - it was just a few licks!) oh and some mince pie courtesy of my mum .

On christmas day she had (and loved) roast parsnips and carrots, roat potatoes and a bit of turkey.

so far she is not that bothered about green beans (too rubbery by the time they've cooled) or pasta.

It is very messy and you have to be totally unsquemish about food sucked to within an inch of it's life! Bleugh! & add a million changes of clothes to your day!

Hope you are all ok

new year is a new start for me in lots of ways, but especially losing weight. i got a pedometer for xmas to do 10,000 steps & am going to eat much better. may do WW again.

justbeme · 28/12/2007 18:04

The BLW sounds really good Bumper - glad its going ok!
I take it you put houmous on bread? Ive got some in the fridge I could try.

Well, tonight we're attempting to have a night out on our own as its my parents last night here and we thought they could babysit ! Yikes what will we talk about? no doubt - L!

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 28/12/2007 18:12

On a rice cake JBM. Hope you have a good night out with DP. I suggest going to the cinema then you won't have to talk

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 28/12/2007 18:14

Or you could talk about weddings and diamond earrings to match the ring you're going to have........

xmaspudnik · 28/12/2007 21:16

Where is everyone?
JBM, glad someone has lost weight with the BF and it's not a total myth then. Have a good night out and congrats on your pressie btw

MHC, got your e-mail, will reply.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 28/12/2007 21:18

I'm hoping I'm part of holly's don't lose the weight till stop bfing gang!

How's Abber spudnik? N Wales was fecking hideous weather wise (well, when isn't it?!)

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2007 21:24

I hope DH got my washing in earlier while I was snoozimg, sounds like heavy rain.

I took delivery of DS1s friends pets this morning for theur holidays. My house stinks. At least my cat hasn't eaten them...yet.

I am doing Rosemary Conleys GI jeans diet from 2/3rd Jan, but I want fish & chips, chinese and pizza/burger takeaway first! I don't want to be quite so porky on my 30th (I'm nearly a grown up). I have a pedometer somewhere, will have to find it as I can clock up some steps if I get up earlier and walk the school run. Bought DH dome weights today for his physio. Have you seen the Rebecca Wheatley DVD?

xmaspudnik · 28/12/2007 21:28

Well I better not be as I'm planning to bf for a good while yet. I found last time though that at about a year, when we dropped to 3 feeds a day, it got easier - I didn't lose anything in the 1st year then either.

Well in Abergavenny I went to.... Waitrose! And my Grandma's flat
Oh and the garden centre.
Didn't even make it to look at the ducks in the tiny hamlet here my folks live.
The weather wasn't too bad (they said it was hideous today though, lucky escape)

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2007 21:31

Bugger, that would be a no then. Suppose if it's wet I don't have to iron it. Have rescued some but its too damned cold, windy and wet to be out in my PJs.

xmaspudnik · 28/12/2007 21:31

Shall we all have a renewed new-year weight-loss drive then?

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2007 21:40

Suppose so, what's another year?!

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 28/12/2007 21:57

Yep, but starting on the first (or 2nd for Ria) which gives us 3 days to get all the crap eaten and we'll be ready for a diet when the new year comes!

Just had another text from Daisy, her mum is still the same, though breathing getting a bit laboured She sounds like she is doing well though.

xmaspudnik · 28/12/2007 22:05

Send her my love.

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2007 22:08

poor daisy, send her love from me.

I just CAN'T start on the 1st... will last to the 8th I expect (DS2s b'day).

I bought "diet police" fridge alarms for me and my sister for a joke xmas pressie. But if I only open the fridge just enough to get something out it doesn't activate

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 28/12/2007 22:12

Done spudnik. It's an awful state of limbo. Having your parents die must be awful, but waiting for it to happen...

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 28/12/2007 22:14

Don't worry ria, a week extra won't hurt!

Right better go. Haven't seen DH for 3 days, suppose I should talk to him!

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2007 22:20

My parents have been wittering about their wills. I am in denial completely so my heart goes out to daisy and her family.

must go too. night all.

xmaspudnik · 28/12/2007 22:23

at the fridge alarms.
Can you cheat when you haven't actually started yet

GloooooooooooooooooooRia · 28/12/2007 22:56

didn't get to bed...

my life is one big food cheat!

Have just done my brain traning on DS2s DS - my brain age is 30 (down from 70 on xmas day). Yippee!

Am really going now...
