good morning folks!
oh - xmas fever has well and truly hit me - i even bought some packets of fake snow yesterday. you mix it with water to make a couple of buckets of snow - C will have a white xmas!!!

NL & pesha - how are the boobs?
NL - still not resolved childcare issues. it was starting to spoil my maternity leave so - am trying to be a bit more resigned about it and accept that it is just a grim situation. have done a formal request for flexible working but still awaitng verdict.

where is maveta???????????????

WO - fake snow??? Are you on drugs??

Dp took my secret santa to post and mentioned that I hadnt put my name or address on.....like duh!!!!!!

C has FINALLY mastered the art of crawling.... well kinda, he pushes is bum in the air and has his feet flat, so he's walking but with his hands on the floor - he looks like Moglie out of the jungle book.

He managed to get accross the living room this morning to grab stroke the cat, and was rewarded with a bite. Sensible Naughty samson cat!!!

Boob better today though letdown still a bit sore thanks. Glad yours seems to be improving too NL.

Got up early this morning and fed D breakfast before school run rather than after as normal as dd's xmas play was at 9.30 and now he's sound asleep in pushchair and I dont know what to do with myself! All the things i could do are too noisy and might wake him up so wasting time on here! Its a tough life!

M's christmas concert was very good, she sang really well and seemed to be trying really hard bless her She si going to xp's on friday so all this week has been much more stroppy and difficult and has started being quite nasty at times to N. Little things when she thinks noones looking like when his chocolate fell out his calender she kicked it inder the sofa. Think she feels left out, she wants to see her dad but doesnt like not being here too iyswim She has quit all her clubs like ballet and swimming, the only thing she still does is french club after school but wants to stop that too cos she says she wants to be with me I think its worse because she knows how far away from me it is and of course me having D will have added to her insecurity I guess. Not sure what I can do. Although now D feeds less and will take a bottle I should be able to give her more of my time, I think a girly day is in order soon after xmas

I remember a few years ago I think she must have been just 4 and N was 1 and she'd been going on and on about how it snows at christmas and I kept saying sometimes it does but not often in this country, we prob wont have snow, we hardly ever have snow and then come xmas day - it snowed!!! Proper big fat white snowflakes that settled! It was lovely but i didnt half get alot of 'I told you so mummy'!!

LOL at "I told you so Mummy" Pesha. Girls really do know best don't they? Sorry M is being a pickle for you, I'm sure she would appreciate a girlie day with Mummy .

Em's school play was yesterday afternoon, very sweet indeed, but no tears from me this time (unlike last year, but then I was a bit hormonal last Christmas).

Think I have finally finished my Christmas shopping, hurrah, just gotta wrap it all up now. This job obviously needs to be done whilst drinking several a large glass of mulled wine, just to get me in the mood.

S is still full of cold, poor little soul. Huge strings of bogies from her nose every time she sneezes bless her. She's really struggling to sleep at night and last night; she went to bed at 7pm as usual last night, then woke at 8pm coughing to the point of making herself cry. I put her on our bed, propped up on a pillow, with the lights off and the TV on (mostly for my own entertainment). Anyway, she was mesmerised, and quite happily lay there watching Sarah Beeny until she fell asleep (and slept through until 7.30am). So the trick of a good night's sleep is evidently Property Ladder .

Have got to scan in some portraits we had taken later, will pop a couple om my profile too.....

Glad your boob is feeling better NL and hope all poorly people are feeling better soon.

Very envious of all these lovely sounding xmas activities that happen once dcs go to school.

Pesha - I agree with the others that you should speak to Miss B if that's who you're most comfortable with.

G is no better. He coughed so much this morning that he was sick. Twice! Never seen so much sick come out of him. We both had to have a bath and I'm now contemplating how to get the smell of vom out of my sofa.

We were due to go up to Newastle today to help my mam out with preparations for Christmas. Will have to reassess tomorrow.

He's so clingy and sleepy at the mo. I want my smiley mischief monkey back.

Oh Leaky, poor little G. You feel so sorry for them when they're ill don't you? Have you given him anything medicine-wise? Have found Calpol-night to be pretty effective at soothing coughs and settling them down. Have also got a Calpol plug-in, which releases a strong vapour that also seems to help sooth little coldy-babies.

Report
leakythesnowman · 12/12/2007 13:22

He has had medised the last couple of nights but it kind of makes him drunk not sleepy - not sure I like it. Is Calpol Night the same sort of thing? Has slept for 2 hours already today which is unheard of for him when he's well. Might pop to boots for supplies when he wakes up.

Leaky - hope G is better soon.

Have finished cleaning . Erin being a bit grumpy today not really sure why.

Can't believe that Erin will be at school one day...time seems to have flown by since she was born. Can't believe she's 8 months now (well tomorrow).

Poor little G leaky, hope he feels better soon. F is still fending off the cold that ds has, hope it lasts

Pesha and NL, glad the boob situation is improving!

IDOC, well done on no tears! I do find these things very emotional. Found myself fighting back the tears because ds was going to miss the ruddy show! I am an emotional wreck!

hello all

B asleep on knee so typing a challenge! We're just back from toddler group party. Good fun - mammoth hoovering job at the end
The elves had to do a bit of quick present wrapping as so many children were there we ran a bit short. There were the usual number of children totally freaked out by Santa as well......those of you with toddlers - who loves him and who becomes hysterical (children not mums )

Nath told maia this morn very sadly that he didnt get to sit with his friends and had to sit with his teachers so i went and spoke to Miss b and said could he sit with the others today but on the end of the line so they could still keep an eye on him, she didnt seem keen but said they would try. Saw her at lunchtime and she said he was absolutely fine, very well behaved and no problems! So glad they let him but that they couldnt have given him that opportunity in the first place. Makes me wonder what other restrictions they might put on him that are now unecessary that I know nothing about

Looking forward to going to see him again tomorrow morning and actually being able to see him this time!

Leaky sorry that G is so poorly. D has horrid snotty nose too, seems perfectly happy in himself luckily but didnt sleep at all well last night Just as he was starting to get better too

Forgotten everything else
