Just today I started one...it got deleted pretty quick.

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 13/12/2007 19:26

NB, you'll have to tell us more than that

elf, they've grown up so much already

ElfPolarBear · 13/12/2007 19:27

i know...anyone on track for a walker by christmas?

ElfPolarBear · 13/12/2007 19:28

as you can see the dusting's going well
maybe if i blow really hard from over here

jingleoooggs · 13/12/2007 19:30

I hope not Katy Erin is pulling herself up to standing on anything stationary, Eddas did think her ds might be

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 13/12/2007 19:39

Thankfully ds slowed down on the movign about front so doubt very much he will be >> thank goodness!

there must be someone with a - looking like they're gonna walk baby

DippyChristmas · 13/12/2007 19:47

Definitely not walking, not even sure about crawling ....... just how I like 'em ...... nice & still!

Although a good friend of mine has an adorable little DS, born April 9th - I'd say he is definitely going to be walking by Christmas!!!! Already doing one-handed walking - eeeeeek!

Idreamofchocolate · 13/12/2007 20:32

Walking? S still not going anywhere...sits beautifully, stands very enthusiastically, bounces in her bouncer, but not remotely interested in actually propelling herself anywhere (thank goodness).

Sexmasonlegs · 13/12/2007 20:33

K isn't anywhere near crawling. She isn't even sitting up on her own. Should I be getting worried? She pulls herself up from being on her back on to her elbow, but that is it.

Eddas, sorry you are feeling a bit bowled over. Ikwym - I feel like I have a million things to do and no time to do it.

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 13/12/2007 20:48

nice to know i'm not alone feeling like there's not enough time, or anywhere near enough time, but wish we all weren't feeling like that but hope you SWIM!

SOL, don't be worried about the lack of moving, they all do it when they're ready. Just be thankful! DD was sitting, all be it woobly, at this age but definately NOT moving. People kept saying boys are lazier than girls apparently not

THink I might have some wine and chill out should be doing something else, but hey it can wait!

liath · 13/12/2007 21:01

Evening!

I am knackered, got another ruddy cold, crap night last night. Bah!

Leaky - hope G is OK.

Hope evryone else with lurgies is feeling better soon, at this rate we'll all spend Chrustmas day coughing & spluttering into our turkeys!!

WO - is there any way I could help with your childcare nightmare? I'd be happy to mind C if you're stuck (except fridays). Lovely news about your friend's pregnancy.

J can't sit either. He keeps pulling up on things then falling over and bumping his head. I heard a thud earlier then wailing and ran over to pick him up, saying "what happened". To which dd replied with a hint of pride "I pushed him off the sofa!" ! Aaargh!

Sorry, have missed off loads of people - brain mush but hope everyone's OK. CD posted you those book yesterday, hope they arrived intact.

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 13/12/2007 21:19

Quick post from me. Ds still not well, still getting high temps so still not going to school. I have done nothing at all this week and have work tomorrow. I have gone from being relatively well organised for Christmas to being a bit stressed.

To my secret santa recipient (I know there cant be that many who havent had theirs by now, or at least know its on the way)I am very very sorry, I just havent had time to get out and post yours this week. I promise I will do it early next week so you will have it before Christmas. You can probably work out who you are by now!! So inconsiderate of children to be ill at the most inopportune times

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 13/12/2007 21:21

Liath, had to laugh at your dd declaring her misdemeanour with some pride!!

iMustBeMad · 13/12/2007 21:28

hello

J is walking holding one hand
stopped getting any better at it while he was ill as he had no energy, but back on it now. still not crawling though

Well we have had a night off
with wine

WestCountryLass · 13/12/2007 21:53

Ladies

I have been AWOL for a while and have completely lost it, with who is who with the Xmas name changes and just me having fluff for brains, so I have not even attempted to catch up

Anyway, I am just visiting to say Merry Christmas/Feliz Navidad to you all as I am going to Spain in the early hours of Saturday morning and won't be online tomorrow as i've got to pack and get to bed early.

I really hope you and your babies have lovely first Christmasses together, enjoy these special days together.

See you after Christmas,

ElfPolarBear · 13/12/2007 22:00

Hi WCL and enjoy Spain!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 13/12/2007 22:00

Merry Christmas WCL!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 13/12/2007 22:24

Just me and my ben & jerrys here then? Off to bed in a minute. It is absolutely freezing here! Ummmmmmmmm - oh yes - B can sit quite well now - and is trying to crawl - with some success - aaaaaaarggh! No sign of any pulling up yet though...

tcmummy · 13/12/2007 23:29

hello

why do I always manage to drag myself on here after everyone's gone to bed! Perhaps that's why I'm so tired all the time!

T's been really poorly here. Temp was up to 39. He was like a little limp clingy rag doll . Went to docs and now he's on antibiotics. Which he hates taking and I have to clamp his head between my chest and arm and syringe into his mouth . At least his temp has gone down now. We've had noooo sleep for 3 nights now. Fingers crossed for tonight!

Right, really should get up to bed.

Hope you're all ok. Saw we've had some boob trouble again! Mucho sympathies to you lovely mummies, it's horrible isn't it? xxx

Not even had chance to get an xmas name ! Maybe tomorrow...

elkiedee · 14/12/2007 00:18

Hi everyone

Where I am, not exactly having a life, during the day at the moment I'm scared by a combination of curiosity and mobility on D's part. So I've been taking him out even more. He would only nap in his buggy when going out today, taking him round the block to get him to have a nap earlier so I could finish my breakfast and mumsnet/play online scrabble didn't work at all. Also, today started at 5 am so when I did get home I started falling asleep. And I've been playing online scrabble on Facebook, if any of you like playing come and challenge me, but beware, it's a bit addictive....

Swimming tomorrow, just two more marathon expeditions to Mile End and next year we'll be much closer to home in Stoke Newington.

Great to see you back Elf, waving vaguely to everyone else, goodnight.

geordiemacminxpie · 14/12/2007 06:08

Morning ladies.

Bit of a crap night here.... went to bed at 9.30... C woke a couple of times but settled himself quite quickly... dp was on his work night and morning out.... came in at er..... 4.40am, and is now snoring like a wilderbeast with its mouth gaffer-taped up.... woke C, so consequently we havebeen downstairs watching baby tv for an hour now.... Happy days!!!

SecretSantaforGMM · 14/12/2007 07:38

GMM - no sign of your parcel yet? I lobbed it off my sleigh on Monday!

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 14/12/2007 08:32

Morning

GMM, dh snores when he's drunk no other time and it's bloody annoying! Make sure he suffers later, wobble his head or get C to give him smacks on his faces, that should do it

Right ds is finally awake. My baby is sleeping ALOT lately, should I worry? It's a nightmare, you worry if they don't sleep and worry if they do i'm sure he's fine, just run down and catching up[hopeful]

Got dd's christmas party at preschool this morning I have to go along and help organise the food but I want to see what dd is like with all the kids so don't mind really. Then when that's over I am going to have a rest. DD can watch dvd's this afternoon. I'm not doing anything. Well maybe i'll do dinner but that's it!

Have good days everyone

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 14/12/2007 08:33

obviously your dh would only have one face gmm although maybe everyone else last night had more than one to him
