Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mustmakeyouamanmore · 29/12/2007 22:05

Dh had some kind of game thing once, when I met him. He gave it to his nephew, who said 'is he the long haired uncle?'

The birthday shopping is complete, as is valentines. You'll alll be sad to hear how normal the presents are!

DontDreamItBeIt · 29/12/2007 22:09

What is the birthday present?

DP is Tuesday, but he's getting nothing He got a dvd camera for Chrismas....I migh manage to make hi a crd for his birhday.

mustmakeyouamanmore · 29/12/2007 22:15

Birthday:
tin of coffee from M&S (2.25 in the sale), big bottle of salad oil from the boys (£4 in the sale)
Double dvd set of 28 days and weeks later (£10)
the bottle opening hammer from Tescos sale (£1.12)

Valentines:
Secretary on dvd (£2) because I love it
Trevor Sorbie shampoo and body wash set (£3 in the sale).

See. Dull and normal.

DontDreamItBeIt · 29/12/2007 22:26

Oooh. I could buy coffee for his brthday, since tha is going o be bough anyway Good idea.

Never head of Secretary. Is it a film?

Reading through the rest of the thread now...
@ child free day mrm.

EPPM - your house sounds like mine, but we fi three children in

Kel....hope you are ok.

in a desperate attempt to warm you up Frizbe. Swimming pool is good for free hot showers.

mustmakeyouamanmore · 29/12/2007 22:34

Wrap up all the week's groceries for him

Secretary is a great film!!

I must admit I loved my childfree day, but I'd rather have a regular slot of childlessness, even if was very short each time!

Having a one-child day on Thurs, before he starts back to nursery and we dont have full days.

DontDreamItBeIt · 29/12/2007 22:38

I am sort of looking forward to ds being old enough (IMO) for nursery, to get that child free time, but just now dp free time would be a relief
We aren't arguing as such, but I do need my own space.
He's not out at work during the day, and not going out in the evenings very much either( at least that is saving us some money)

EachPeachPearMum · 30/12/2007 00:59

Ok- not sure what the hell is going on on here!
Whats with the names?

We have 6 consoles and a gameboycolour and a ds and they're not all dh's either! In fact only 2 consoles are his, the rest are all mine!

EachPeachPearMum · 30/12/2007 01:02

We leave stuff until 12th night too.

What is on at 2am?????

CantSleighWontSleigh · 30/12/2007 07:51

lol at your confusion - they love Rocky Horror!

mustmakeyouamanmore · 30/12/2007 08:36

She should hve changed to DamnItJasIt. Thought of that genius name in bed last night

Tree coming down today because 12th night isnt convienient

Peer pressure...... dh keeps mentioning turning the cot into a bed now But given the fact that we had both boys in our be dagain last night and dh escaped tp the settee in the early hours, there doesnt seem much point anyway! And i cant face having him on the loose and going through the not-staying-in-bed thing till he gets used to it.

DontDreamItBeIt · 30/12/2007 08:45

Cot is definitely staying here.

I quite like this name. I might keep it

mustmakeyouamanmore · 30/12/2007 09:21

You cant keep it. You know how long it takes me to get use to change!

FlameNFurter · 30/12/2007 11:30

I knew it was Jas straight away I'd like you to keep it.

They are all very normal presents

I've not seen Secretary, but I know what it is

Phoenix · 30/12/2007 12:26

I've never seen Rocky Horror am i missing anything?

Feel slightly more human today but can't be arsed to get ready and go anywhere so we're having a lazy day, ds is still in his pj's Dh is at work til 7pm

DontDreamItBeIt · 30/12/2007 12:32

Yes Phoenix, you are!

mustmakeyouamanmore · 30/12/2007 12:49

Oh my God, yes you are missing out!

Ds1 in jamas, I'm in house-only trackie bottoms. The other two are dressed.

All decorations back up the loft. Mission accomplished.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 30/12/2007 13:24

When you have all day in the house Phoenix (or anyone with just one dc), how do you keep him occupied/happy?

Am very knackered today. Dd is sleeping well in her bed, but whereas she might stir in the mornings for a minute and then go back off for another hour or so, she is getting up as soon as she wakes now, so is not getting quite enough sleep.

We are also having a couple (or more) tantrums a day as we're getting tougher on the constant wanting to breastfeed and not eat any proper meals, but snack on crap all day. Dd asked for ice cream for breakfast today .

Phoenix · 30/12/2007 14:10

Tbh csws he's quite good and will mostly entertain himself with his toys, destroying the living room etc. He's just gone down for a nap now so that will sort an hour or so, then we'll have to walk the dog again (wrap him in a blanket in his pushchair no one will know he's in his pj's) He won't sit and do anything with me anyway like jigsaws and things he just wants to do things on his own. We have built a mega blok tower together this morning though

DontDreamItBeIt · 30/12/2007 15:17

All my decs are back in the loft, too

mustmakeyouamanmore · 30/12/2007 17:15

i just had 2.5 hours sleep in a locked room Heaven.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 30/12/2007 18:09

I crashed on the sofa during dd's nap too!

mustmakeyouamanmore · 30/12/2007 18:14

Ds2 had another no nap day

Phoenix · 30/12/2007 18:44

If i'd have realised ds would have an almost 2 hour nap i would have tried to sleep on the sofa for a bit too.

What do all your lo's drink out of? Ds has water out of a sippy cup thing and milk out of a bottle still. If we try an open top cup he ends up wearing the whole drink or thinks it hilarious to drink some and let it dribble out of the corners of his mouth. I've just tried milk in his sippy cup again and he started well but was soon asking for a bottle again.

CantSleighWontSleigh · 30/12/2007 19:19

Dd has milk from a boob (!!), a spouted cup, or an open cup with a straw. She has water from a sports cup if we're out and about, or an open cup at mealtimes.
Oh, and the straw when she has one has to be red. Or there'll be trouble. Lots of it.

mustmakeyouamanmore · 30/12/2007 19:26

Tescos spouted beaker.
PM milk in a magic cup with the spout not the teat bit. But he also has ir from the tresco cup, so might drop the magiccups in an attempt to clear some plstic from our kitchen!
