Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
DontDreamItBeIt · 08/01/2008 23:47

I don't shout (or didn't until I had spentten years iving with dp.)

Also didn't shout at the dds when they were little. I do now though
t
Any way, just got ou of bed for Frizbe. If you are on free dentist level tax credits, you migh be eligable for a grant for your boiler. I got our hot water heater replaced when it died the year we were on that level and it didn't cost us at all. I had o apply, but did it early, and when it died I got moved to the top of the waiting lis.

Any way, it was through warm front. We were also eligable for lof insulation and other stuff, so you should look into it.

mustmakeyouamanmore · 09/01/2008 07:55

Flame, you didnt do anything that would constitute being a bad parent when I saw you last, or any other time. If its any help, I think the age gap between mine (which is obv v similar to oyurs) doesnt help. Bu it does seem to be beconmg better as they are starting to be able to play the same games etc.

I shout alot once I get really wound up. And I know dh gets very raw deal from me, as the csws's will attest to But alot of that is because all the realtionship dynamics changed with having lkids, and we need to find our way back.

Er, wish I had free dentsirty, as I've got 2 very sensitiver teeth tha started yesterdayt

I can hardly bend this morn, from the aerobics on Mon! Cant climb over the strairgate!
I cant go again this week now though, as dh is doing more overs otomorrow, so I'n really going to try and get a run on Friday and Sunday. On SAt I'm meeting a friend yjat I havent seen for about 10 years

dl was a bit a bit last night. Jury still out, but he tried. I was slightly touched though, with a very flamboyanyt and unrealitic incentive to get fit.Guess thats his way of making it up to me?

Ds2 woke at misnight and it took about 40 mins to resettle him, ds1 took an hour of faffing to get to bed in the first place, but after those two bits , they both slept in their own beds all night

Phoenix · 09/01/2008 09:15

Morning,

We got another lay in today, he stayed in his cot til 8.20 . Don't know how he stayed asleep up there though it was only 14 degrees when i went up. I ended up putting his fleece blanket over his grobag in the night but his feet were still freezing when he got up. I might put him socks on tonight.

I've just rung and cancelled my smear cos i'm bleeding slightly again, but it says on the tablets a few days after stopping them there might be some bleeding so i'll give it a few days to see if it stops then re book my appointment.

Phoenix · 09/01/2008 09:19

Oh and i'm very shouty always have been, i used to (and still probably do) get on my parents' nerves. Dh always gets shouted at and winds me up even more by saying something like 'I'm only stood here not outside' and that just makes me shout more

mustmakeyouamanmore · 09/01/2008 09:38

So we're all shouty narky people

Remind me again about half term plans will you? Were and when and how?

FlameNFurter · 09/01/2008 09:44

Yup, I'd say he is trying MRM

I throw things... bin bags was the last one Friends at school tease me any time I say that there were issues with DH and ask if bin bags were involved

lol @ the stalking EPPM Stalking is good You're right though, I think had I had DS first I would only now be entering into the shouty stage (as DD hit 2 it started to crumple a bit). I really need to try to stop comparing her to other children and just treat her as her.

I am at Psycho's "working" My internet is down, so I came here armed with laptop to work lots... I am just having a coffee before I get started. I have a whole stack of stuff to get on with so I can't procrastinate long. Tis annoying though - she said their wireless wasn't protected and it is, so I am on her laptop and it is soooooooo hard using someone else's and I am going to have to transfer all pictures etc

ooh - Boy just phoned! He set up their network and told me where the key info is

for lay in. I have missed smear stuff it seems... pills?

Did everyone else know that NAO is pregnant again??

Right, off to set up network

DontDreamItBeIt · 09/01/2008 09:55

She dropped a very big hint on a thread I was on avouple of weeks ago, so I'd guessed

Phoenix · 09/01/2008 10:04

Pills were to stop the bleeding i've had for over 2 month flame.

FlameNFurter · 09/01/2008 10:07

Phoenix

All - had an email from one of DH's geeks - scan pics He is a lovely lovely bloke who has always been sooo sweet with our kids. I am really pleased for him, I can just see him bouncing about with a huge grin on his face showing scan pics to anyone he passes.

FlorenceFarkingNightingale · 09/01/2008 13:36

Ooh no - I didn't know. There was a thread from someone with the same number of children recently, and I wondered if it might be her, but had forgotten to check out the poster. What name is she using at the moment? Congratulations if you're reading NAO .

Who are you asking about half term mrm? Is that when flame is coming here to meet hunker?

Boots have delivered one of the parcels, even though the same carrier had both parcels at the same warehouse .

mustmakeyouamanmore · 09/01/2008 13:45

Is that one complete though?

Er, I'm asking anyone who wants t oget together

FlameNFurter · 09/01/2008 17:27

16th - 19th... although I might be asking to change to 17th

DontDreamItBeIt · 09/01/2008 17:40

She (NAO)was PaulaYatesBiggestFan last time I saw her.
I'll check 1/2 term dates

DontDreamItBeIt · 09/01/2008 18:21

Mine are off the week before. They have an inset day on the 18th, hough. What are you planning? Might I want to join in at all???

We are going to be sleeping on the sofabed onight. The bedroom ceiling is plastered, but the room smells and th wall still needs doing.

FlameNFurter · 09/01/2008 19:28

I am staying with CSWS over the dates stated (if that is still ok with her!) meant to be seeing Hunker on the Monday. Don't know who else wants to play

I wanted to change to travelling on the Sunday rather than the Sat so I can take Psychogirl2 shopping - we have been promising her a shopping trip for her birthday for the last 2 years, figured if we do it that Saturday I can do it childfree and we can get 3 yrs worth of presents in one day.

FlorenceFarkingNightingale · 09/01/2008 20:35

Yes that's still fine with me. Have you checked that hunker hasn't forgotten?

Maybe we could do pwp in the week that the girls are off then Jas? Must order some more days out vouchers, as mine will have expired by then. Actually, think mum has some that need using in Feb, so might try and nick hers instead.

Delivered order is complete mrm, yes - wasn't yours?

DontDreamItBeIt · 09/01/2008 20:51

Yes please. I haven't got anyhing arranged at all yet.

I'm going to have to go and set up the sofa bed and get in it I think. I'm sneezing non-stop and I feel terrible

Frizbe · 09/01/2008 22:29

{{{{Hugs}}}}Jas, hope you're feeling better tomorrow for the plastering though! thanks for the heating grant tip I'll look into it, always feel a bit pants about having to claim things like that though, I kinda like to ignore the level of debt we're in! self employment eh, one day it'll all be worth it (my friend has just been trading a year and they've paid their 1st positive vat bill for a quarter a whopping 55 grand, that's when you know you're on your way!) I think we're a bit of a way off that at the mo though...

Flame I think you're a great mum EPPM's book sounds interesting though.
You're using your brain too, with your work, it takes a lot of gumption to set up your own business and keeping it going takes even more, give yourself a HUGE pat on the back girl

MRM for it going ok with lodger.

CSWS at Boots/the courier, what can you do eh?

I'd love to meet somewhere later this year with the kids but half term is a no-no for me at the mo with the fledgling business! I'm heading Flames way 26th July for a week,(its probably going to be 5 days now, sigh) don't know if anyone fancies a trip to the beach??

Can also confirm I have been a bit of a thrower too, though not so bad these days, going with Jas's tack of fuming quietly in another room......can I just say though, never throw a caulinder of potatoes at the wall (your dh's head as he ducks out of the door when he realises what's flying at him) and not clean it up straight away (due to anger) its a fecker to clean off

Frizbe · 09/01/2008 22:30

NAO congrats

Dame where are you? and how are you?

EachPeachPearMum · 10/01/2008 00:48

Evening all- drive-by posting here, sorry.

Friz- my book????

DontDreamItBeIt · 10/01/2008 07:47

The book you said you'd read when you were talking abou hypersesitivity and the dreamer of dreams thread.

mustmakeyouamanmore · 10/01/2008 08:37

Could we do something with Jas on 18 the then? Somewhere I can get to with the boys?! Ds1 is constantly whinging that he doesnt see the girls ever!

We have inset day on 15th, which is the last day of term, so its a longer holiday

Are we plannig some kind of get together that would consitiute a birthday party for the babies? Because that was my best idea for ds2 either a day out, or I'm very happy to have you all here and they can have butties and balloons I cant think of anything more excittinf for 2yr olds! Maybe a manic pass theparcel played mainly by the grown ups
If we dont to anything, it'll be a tea party with my Mum the weekend before or eafter for him

csws; Boots was complete yes; was just asking, seeing as they're so inept. Have you seen its 75% off now, but mainly all sold out by about 9am on the first day!

Ds1 goes back to nursery today; hurray! Its been a good hol actually, in terms of not getting too bored. But I do like to get back to routine.

Dh will have been in his job 20 years this summer . He gets 5 days extra holiday (a one off) and £500. Extra hol, just in time for poty traininig

mustmakeyouamanmore · 10/01/2008 09:49

Oh my God! My neighbour, who gave us a Tescos organic veggie box for xmas totally out of the blue, has just had a delivery... and brought another oneround for us! I'm dead chuffed; food galore! But I'm a bit bemused too. She professes to be scraping for money too(although clearly on a diff level to us as she classes alot of things as essential that we'd never dream of!)

Anyone think of an excitinf recipe for shitloads of pointed cabbage?!

mustmakeyouamanmore · 10/01/2008 10:02

Oh My God!Second one of the day! Friend has just offered to babysit tonight so i can go to areobics... at the danger time (6.45, bedtime, tantrums aplenty)
I'm feeling very grateful and a little mystified at everyone today...

EachPeachPearMum · 10/01/2008 13:42

jas- sorry- too many book threads now!
btw didn't want to mention on the other thread that I'd already read the book, did't want to seem rude...

right- can't remember (dd was about 9 months old) and it was a library book...will search online, or go to library tomorrow- was a very good book though.
