Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
FlameNFurter · 04/01/2008 09:34

Why not? Why can't my children be better than yours?

How's DD in her nappy area - my mum always says that it was horrible where I was in nappies and I was covered in it

FlorenceFarkingNightingale · 04/01/2008 10:12

Because he adores P, and she needs to know that it's true love .

That's her worst place flame - keeps grabbing it and rubbing/scratching. Have put a poppered vest on to make it harder for her to get at.

EachPeachPearMum · 04/01/2008 12:04

for all the poorly babies AGAIN! Its just one thing after another... itchy nappy areas are not fun though! (This is from empathy/imagination, not experience I hasten to add )

Dd was very unsettled last night- lots of waking up howling, seems to be nightmares but also maybe teeth as she keeps on about her sore mouth.

Q for Jas, Friz, mrm, and Flame.... How many teeth should children have? Is this teething?
(She has 2 incisors, 1 canine, 1 molar each side top and bottom... she's going to get more molars sometime right?)

CSWS- didn't email you yet... every time I sat down to write either she cried or I clicked 'active convos' and got distracted .

Do you think there's a way to hide the 'active conversations' button????

mustmakeyouamanmore · 04/01/2008 13:05

Great! Kids fighting for ds1's love already
I dont think the cswsdd has much to fear, given the bickering between ds1 ans flamedd, and ds1's stroppy attitude

Well, the deed is gone. The cot i s a bed. Slight change of plan though. There was a crack in the frame, so we couldnt lower the ends to make it a proper bed IYSWIM. So its bed height but with very tall ends. So ds1 has gor that one, and ds2 has got his toddler bed. Ds1 lies thetall ends, and at least ds2 has got those little built in side half-guards too, as well as it looking much dinkier.
We were plannig a romanitic evenig, but not m,uch chance with ds2 on the loose

FlameNFurter · 04/01/2008 13:16

DS can be best man, whilst DD heckles from the back

mustmakeyouamanmore · 04/01/2008 13:39

He might end up liking ds best

csws, dont suppose you're orgdering anything fron the Hawkin's sale are you??!! I want a Ned's head reduced to £10, but I dont want to pay £4.99 postage on that, as thats not a bargain!!

DontDreamItBeIt · 04/01/2008 13:46

EPPM-four more molars are due someime but I don't know when. My dc are all very late wih teeth - ds still has no canines

FlameNFurter · 04/01/2008 13:48

If they go that way I have already betrothed DS to Hunkerboy2

FlorenceFarkingNightingale · 04/01/2008 14:30

lol lol

Haven't even looked at HB mrm, so doubt I'll be ordering. Has your Boots stuff arrived yet btw? My first order was due 'by 4th Jan' ie today, but no sign yet.

FlameNFurter · 04/01/2008 14:49

I wanted lighty up straws

mustmakeyouamanmore · 04/01/2008 15:02

funnily enough, I phoned today as mine says dur by today, but stil being processed. He said its def on the van today!

I've done a big spring clean in the kitchen. Felingvery righteous now!

FlorenceFarkingNightingale · 04/01/2008 19:26

Did it arrive? My first order still says it's being processed, and my second order only said 'received' a couple of hours ago, but I've just had an email to say it's been partially dispatched (and the other part cancelled as they don't have stock), but still no word on the first.

Frizbe · 04/01/2008 20:16

Flo, for those itchy nappies, fingers x'd its all died down in a few days for you.

MRM good luck with the bed situation, we found dd2 in bed with us at 3am today, que dh taking her back to bed and 1 hr of controlled (if you can call it that) crying which we endured till she dropped off in her own bed, till 5.30am when she attempted to get back in ours again, so I took her back and played at getting her to stay in her own bed again for an hour, before giving up and getting up (not good as I was still on here at 12:30 last night!)

EPPM I think dd2 is doing fangs here, cause she hasn't got any of those yet?? and then yep there's another set of molars to come through, oh joy.....

Flame and MRM glad you had a great day yesterday

Jas, how's things? Phoenix, you feeling better?

mustmakeyouamanmore · 05/01/2008 08:23

Boots: after I'd called 1pm and they said it was 'on the van for today', I called back at 5.30 and they said 'yes, it could come up till 7pm, but if it doesnt, it'll be monday'
bit worried that the scuttle bug will be missing. Would be just my luck.

Intereseting night. Took till 9pm to get ds2 to sleep (after ds1 pissed around more than he did, and in the end we evicted him to our bed ) But given that I nipped up to the high st and when I got back ds2 has 'just gone to sleep this second' on the settee...4.30pm, woke 5.30 pm , I dont think 9pm for propr bed was too bad. He was in our bed at 3am though, as usual

Amidst all this, I found time for a dream. I'd swopped coffee tables with Flame, and csws was the courier service

DontDreamItBeIt · 05/01/2008 09:24

I managed to keep ds awake all day yesterday and had a good nightas a result

No Boots deliveries on Saturdays?
Hope it comes on Monday for you....

I think I'm going to have to take the dc to PWP today. I told them they had season ticket for Christmas, so they are desperate to go now. I'd quite like to spend the day reading a book in my dressing gown.

Frizbe · 05/01/2008 09:34

what's pwp then?

Well your dream sounds nicer than mine MRM, I dreampt that Meridian and I were gov agents, she was a helicopter pilot and we were on a bombing mission together not good!

mustmakeyouamanmore · 05/01/2008 09:56

Ooo, wish we were going! I actually like it there; has good memories of ds1's eraly days! Does that very very good looking Justin still work there? Have a look for me!

Interesting dream Friz[ hmm]

No Boots on sats unles you've paid a premium for Sat delivery.

Did I ever reply to you about the nappies? They're great, thanks! Not as roomy round the legs as the fuzzis, but still fine.

FlorenceFarkingNightingale · 05/01/2008 10:26

We had a better night last night too. I let dd sit on my lap and watch Worlds Strongest Man until she fell asleep , then we took her up to bed about 9:30, and dh settled for the night on a mattress on her floor. She apparently only got up 4 times, but went back to her bed each time, which is real progress! I turned the monitor off as dh was with her, so got 6 hours straight before dh woke me up at 5:30. Dd slept til about 7:15 I think.

She is watching far too much TV whilst she's ill though, so no doubt we'll have tantrums when we go back to normal rules.

for the boys' card mrm.

that we can't join you at pwp (Paradise Wildlife Park Friz) Jas. Would have made a nice family day out. Maybe you could go in your dressing gown and a coat, and let the dc run around whilst you read a book there .

FlameNFurter · 05/01/2008 11:32
FlameNFurter · 05/01/2008 11:46

please read this and tell me if I am speaking a different language???

Does it not say clearly enough that I am asking the people that do EC what they do, or does it say "I want to force my son to potty train early"??

If it says the latter I will rephrase it! I don't want potty training advice, I know potty training advice. I want to know what the EC people do so I can keep him bare bummed as much as possible... I don't know if they have methods iyswim or if they just spend their life mopping (which right now I am perfectly happy to do if there is no other way because I hate these bloody nappies )

FlorenceFarkingNightingale · 05/01/2008 11:58

It says in the title that you want ECers, but not in the post. A lot of people won't have even heard of EC, so will ignore that and comment on the situation as they see it. Not everyone will know your history re cloth and previous potty training. So in truth, I think you're just in a bad mood due to lack of sleep and are forgetting the way that MN works. Sorry!

mustmakeyouamanmore · 05/01/2008 13:48

Dont ask me about it all. Donr forget, I have not alot to do with my childrens poo. It took 18 months for you to get him in a cloth nappy, and dh potty trained ds1. So my knowledge all all things below the waist is scarce!

FlameNFurter · 05/01/2008 14:56

Good point CSWS I was more specific the second time and now Jas has helped me too

lmao @ not having conceived a child on the coffee table!

Frizbe · 05/01/2008 20:02

If I ever go to Flames house I will look at the table in a new light have left you a message on the thread Flame!

Jas was PWP lovely then? just by telling me the name CSWS made it sound great

just for MRM in my younger days I went around Woburn in my PJ's along with two other girls on way back from a raging weekend in London!

I'm joining CSWS in the good sleep books for last night, dh assures me dd2 got up at 2.30am, but he got to her before she'd left her bedroom as I slept till she got me up at 6ish!

Phoenix how are you today?

I've managed to stuff the Xmas tree into the car tonight, so tip for that tomorrow....braved the supermarket too for the bits that I could only get there (trying to shop more locally) girls remarkably well behaved all day

mustmakeyouamanmore · 05/01/2008 20:24

So, ds2 went up 6.45 asleep by 7.05. Ds1 went up 7.25, still awake, after a tantrum, and waking ds2 by 'just lifting his head up'

Pls find my thread on what I want for my birthday from Mum; I truely have no idea, and a week to think about it!
