Christmas book is here

Hi MJ, she has had an awful chesty cough for over a week, so I suppose it could be that, but saying that earlier in the week (when she had her cough) her poo was normal. I am at a real loss. I am going to get dh to get her an appointment with the docs and push for a referral. I just think there is something strange going on - her weight gain is at a standstill - I think there is some malabsorption issue going on but have no idea what is causing it.

Sorry for the self absorbed post. I know whatever it is can't be too serious as she is incredibly happy, sleeps well etc. but something is not right.

DippyChristmas · 09/12/2007 20:47

SOL, did you ever get her poo tested? I remember you talking about it. May be worth doing, if it comes back clear then at least it will put your mind at rest.

Maveta · 09/12/2007 21:25

Hello! Have only managed to skim-catch-up and I don't think anything has gone in so sorry I can't be more personal but hello everyone.. been away in Barcelona for a couple of nights and either side of that manically packing/unpacking tidying, laundry etc. so although I've tried to pop on a couple of times I've never got very far.

Had a magical 3 days away with dh, N and none of the normal day to day stresses and strains of life. Really relaxing and lots of fun. Tomorrow I have to sit down and look at the bank and see exactly how much trouble we've probably landed ourselves in but well, I'll think about that tomorrow

Sorry to keep it short but I'm knackered and work tomorrow. hope to catch up with you all a bit better soon x

DippyChristmas · 09/12/2007 21:31

Evening

Back from London at 8pm about an hour after G is normally in bed. He did air-raid siren crying all the way from the station, poor lamb. He's full of cold still and when we tried to give him some medised before bed he was so sick! Fast asleep now.

Eva's christening was lovely. The service was Anglican - quite "high church" almost like a full Catholic mass, incense the works which brought back some uncomfortable memories from childhood. But the volunteers from the parish were so friendly and the vicar so welcoming that I ended up enjoying it. Was in a lovely building with a clever sound-proof room at back to take your upset/ hungry/noisy child to. Even had the service piped in! About 30 adults and probably 15 kids (ages 6weeks - 7yrs)came back to the house. Loads of marauding boys under 5 - a taste of thing to come

Spent a lot of Saturday helping to prepare food and had a bizarre early Christmas dinner last night, all the usual stuff but South African BIL barbecued 2 chickens instead of roasting a turkey. Tasty but odd!

We had an offer on the flat yesterday, but at 15k under our price (which has already been lowered 5K) it just wasn't enough. The girl in question wants to come back with her dad before she puts in another offer. Keep your fingers crossed ladies! I'm trying not to build my hopes up.

Right off to bed. Slept (or rather didn't sleep) on a crappy air mattress last night and need to catch up on zeds.

Goodnight.

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 09/12/2007 21:38

have you seen this?

Bargain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 09/12/2007 21:47

no-one laughed at the costume bless you all, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

NL, sounds like a very busy day

Iloveabargain, i love heirlooms like that, so cute! Don't think i'll be keeping dd's! The waistcoat bit is something i'd already made for her so that'll be kept but the rest was made out of 2 pillow cases so funny!

MJ, hope ds feels better soon that he misses his play though. on the job interview front if you don't feel prepared then you may well be right to not go. Just make sure you won't regret not going

Hi oooggs, how everything going? Still manic? Any sleep improvements or is it best to not mention the sleeping

SOL, hope K is ok. If you don't feel happy then go and get her seen. you don't have much luck with poo!

CD, hope the newsletter is worth the wait[hwink]

Maveta, glad you had a great tip, nice to see you back

Leaky, glad the christening was great. Fingers crossed for selling the flat. Selling/buying is such a pita.

Right, that's me out of personals so if I have forgotten anyone

Ellie, if you are lurking, how are you? How's joe? Is Matthew feeling better now? Hope everything's ok

DippyChristmas · 09/12/2007 21:49

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/12/2007 22:10

Joe is much better, not right, but much better.

We came home with steroids (which he finished today) and an inhaler (which he hates).

He was being violently sick again on Saturday morning, which is when I posted on facebook to say I was worried again, but then by the evening he was back to his old self.

He stayed with my gran last night and I went out, only for an hour, but I went, I needed to, Justin informed me yesterday that the new gf is pregnant . As my facebook page says, I am either in an extremely good mood, or having a complete breakdown, not sure which!

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 09/12/2007 22:12

Hello again - off to bed now. Dh and I have eaten half our body weight in pie and mash - starving after today's exertions! B went down fine at least. I forgot to say before - we encourage the kids to dress up for the nativity - many, mnay angels, a sprinkling of kings, two Marys and no Joseph
B was an angel of course - she looked adorable but our camera is needing a new battery so I don't have a pic - but someone else took one so I wil get one I hope

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 09/12/2007 22:13

POTC - just seen your 'news' - that's indeed.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/12/2007 22:19

I have to admit, I just laughed

Especially when I pointed out he has just declared himself bankrupt (or very nearly anyway, he has an IVA), and is regularly late paying for Joe.

I then laughed even more when he said he was sorting it, by looking at changing jobs (deja vu anyone? )

geordiemacminxpie · 09/12/2007 22:23

How\ long has he been seeing her for?

the best bit is, he says he is so keen to get things sorted with access for Joe so that when the baby arrives he isn't tempted to stop seeing him

cheers mate, he'll love you for that I'm sure

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 09/12/2007 22:35

Nice, pure class

PillockOfTheCommunity · 09/12/2007 22:41

His divorce will be granted within the fortnight too, so within a year he has seen his son born to me, got divorced from his wife, and got someone else pregnant.

I am getting you lot to vet my men from now on
