molly doesn't crawl, but she rolls over and over until she finds something she can pull up on.......she is going to go over backwards soon - I just know it!

Peshanearth · 08/12/2007 22:51

Quick post so i can find this again easily when i have time to post more.

Hope you're all well.

Ellie have texted you a few times but no reply - hope you're all ok. Saw on facebook you're worried about Joe again, thinking of you and hope he is ok.

Havebeen so busy last couple of days. And today i had just set off to drive to my mums when I heard a very loud rumbly exhaust, couldn't see anything in mirrors, was just starting to worry it was me when the rattling/scraping noise started. Stopped car to find the whole fucking exhaust was hanging off Luckily had not got far and dp was home so he came down and tied it back on with some string so we could get it home! Last thing we need after first vet's bill then dp off work for 9weeks so unable to do overtime and now this. Still hopefully thats my lot of 3 so bad luck out the way for a while Actually could have been so much worse as 2 minutes later I would have been doing 70mph along the dual carriageway in the pissing rain so feeling quite lucky in a way that it happened when it did. And also up until last week dp's car had been declared off road as we couldn't afford to run it and have only just taxed it so again quite lucky that at least he can still get to work. Bugger bum poo though at this just weeks before christmas

Okay so not such a short post!

Off to bed now, night all

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 08/12/2007 23:30

I am a domestic goddess! One lot of ginger biscuits in the tin, second lot in the oven

What do you mean it's weird to be baking at 11.30 on a Saturday night?

(wanders off to check wonderful biscuits with fingers in ears)

elkiedee · 08/12/2007 23:48

Hi all

Rough night last night. We went to a nearly new sale here, not NCT, some good stuff there, very varied prices and we weren't that well organised for going. I found a few nice bits of clothing in 9-12 months, a video tape and two books including one in a series I'm collecting for D (the ones about Mog the cat by Judith Kerr) for a total of about £4 including the entry fee. Saw a couple of other Jolly Babies mums and their babies there.

On the way another couple got on the bus with a buggy and D and their daughter just gazed at each other really fascinated, she reached out to touch so we lifted the raincover a little and they started to hold hands. It was just sooooo cute!

Builders were here until about 7.30 pm and then I discovered that the mouse hadn't been left in the battery charger (it's a wireless one run on rechargeable batteries) and it took hours to get working again!

We're expecting builders back in the morning.

Hope all sick babies start to feel better soon, sorry no personals but my memory is not working well at the moment.

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 08/12/2007 23:53

Elkie - sorry you had a bad night but - your builders are coming on a Sunday - golly -I'm impressed! That is so cute about D holding hands

Well my biscuits are cool so better go to bed.

elkiedee · 09/12/2007 00:01

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 09/12/2007 14:56

Hi all. Just a quick message so I can find you again later. Lovely time in London, good dinner and fab show but having a crap time now over the stupid congestion charge. Why does nobody tell you to pay it straight away or get a £50 fine I wouldnt mind but it was only 2 days ago

RudolphtherEDDASnosedreindeer · 09/12/2007 16:08

oh dear MJ

I've added a picture of dd in her inn keeper costume Please don't laugh it's supposed to be a bit like this and she'll wear a long sleeve white top and jeans underneath. Apparently the church where they do the nativity is cold!

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 09/12/2007 16:33

Eddas, she looks so cute! She has the most gorgeous smile

jingleoooggs · 09/12/2007 18:56

eddas thats great

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 09/12/2007 19:15

That is a wonderful costume Eddas - super work from you!

Ugh I am snatching a few minutes here at the end of a jolly busy day. Went to church this am, then didn't get home till 2.20 because the church band (which is lucky enough to have dd1 as a clarinetist (sp?) ) was having a long practice with pizza lunch. So helped out a bit with that and then dropped off one of the brass players on way home so her mum didn't have to turn out again. Came home with just enough time to a) eat bacon sandwich b) have row with big girls about fancy dress costume borrowed from friends weeks ago and now MIA c) wrap present for Church appeal thing and d) have row with dd2 about what she is going as to the Jellytots (our church toddler group) Nativity. I evolved a lovely Magi costume - she wanted to be an angel. I said that if I heard one more word of negativity out of anybody nobody would be going anywhere! She cried. I realised that her sister's old bridesmaid dress was a very Magi-ish colour and so we went for that - with a turban, hobby horse and MY JEWELLARY BOX as a gift (minus my 'jewels' fortunately. So then it's all back in the car and off to church. Nativity brief and good fun, tea afterwards and back home in time for Strictly Come Dacing - B now seems strangely awake and excited and I am knackered - I can't think why (not)

iloveabargain · 09/12/2007 19:49

just a quickie..

eddas - your dd looks fab J is going to be a shepherd in nurserys nativity, and he's got the same costume that dh had when he was in school After dh used it, bil did, then our niece, and now its Js turn. Quite an heirloom!

mj - glad you had a good time but at congestion charge. We must have a coffee this week to calm you down

Am gutted that Letitia is out of SCD. Matt is such a wuss
But Gethin is lurvley

Night night
x

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 09/12/2007 20:09

Well, it looks like ds is going to miss his Christmas play He has a temp of 41 at the mo despite calpol and nurofen, and is generally full of cold, coughing to the point of being sick I am so gutted, and I know its more important that he is well, but he had lines in the play and I was so looking forward to my proud mummy moment Oh well, theres always next year

ILAB, yes to coffee but will wait and see how the week pans out with ds first

I think that I am going to withdraw from the job interview on Friday. I havent had enough time to prepare properly, and tbh, sometimes its better the devil you know IYKWIM. With my current job I know exactly what hours I am working and on what days, so child care is relatively easy. If I moved jobs then all that would have to change. Maybe in a few years time eh

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 09/12/2007 20:13

Has anyone noticed the little ad at the side of the thread today? The one for the batteries not included christmas ideas book. I got one and wanted to say it does have some good ideas of stuff to do over Christmas for those with older dc's. Tells you how to fake santa's footprints, and how to make reindeer droppings (nice ). I plan to do the one where you cover the door with wrapping paper and dc's have to burst through it on Christmas morning

jingleoooggs · 09/12/2007 20:15

oh no mammyjo - hope ds is better soon

jingleoooggs · 09/12/2007 20:15

where?????

jingleoooggs · 09/12/2007 20:16

found it

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 09/12/2007 20:19

Oh, its gone now! Typical.

Sexmasonlegs · 09/12/2007 20:25

Hi all

Eddas, your dd looks adorable!

MJ, oh poor poor ds - what an utter shame. I hope he is feeling better soon.

NL, what a day you have had! Are you relaxing now??

Hi Ilab - long time no see.

Hi to everyone else - apologies for not mentioning you all - feeling a bit flat about Katie. Sorry for tmi, but after a week of normal poo, it has gone back to the revolting green, loose and foul smelling stuff. I am at a loss. Her diet hasn't changed so what the hell is going on???? I hate not having the answers.

Hope you are all well. xx

mammyjounderthemistletoe · 09/12/2007 20:30

SOL, is she under the weather at all. Lots of nasties going around at the moment. Ds was puking, then got ear infection and now full of cold, all within a fortnight. Just wonder if she is brewing something?
