TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 03/12/2007 13:40

as i have to ask you to remind me foxy.......erm...no

I need to do some online shopping, but really can't get motivated. I haven't even bought Christmas cards, but could do with getting them sorted before I go back up north on Thursday.

Why is it always down to the women folk to sort this stuff out?

foxythesnowman · 03/12/2007 13:44

Because, Daisy, all the menfolk do is complain. Even when its their birthday and you've made a big effort. And you haven't had a day off or even a lie in for weeks, and haven't complained about it. And when you have two days worth of jobs to do in one afternoon because you try really fucking hard to give your family a nice time and there's always SOMEONE FUCKING COMPLAINING.

Ooops! Got carried away

Sputnik · 03/12/2007 13:48

Ah, wasn't it your DP's birthday today?

foxythesnowman · 03/12/2007 13:49

just looked through my FB messages and I can't find it Daisy. I sent it to you when you were visiting your mum, as I saw it on here and immediately thought of you, and knew if I didn't forward the post there and then I'd never do it. I'd have no idea what to search for on here.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 03/12/2007 13:51

{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}} foxy.

I have no complaints about my DH on that score. I get a lie-in every day when he is home...mainly because I just don't get out of bed, but hey

I farking love MN. I've been chatting to someone on the BF threads who has a teeny baby and is struggling. I'll be passing her door on Thursday when I go to Scotland so I'm going to drop in on her (she and her dh run a hotel) for a coffee and a chat.

DD is very grumpy and clingy now she has woken from her nap......maybe she is spoiling for something.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 03/12/2007 13:53

oh, I found your message foxy.....will google and see where I can get it. Ta muchly

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 03/12/2007 14:03

Ohhhh, the bloody cheek of some people.

Yes Sputnik, it is indeed. And he was in quite a good mood until I told him to stop complaining. Now I've put him in a bad mood on his b'day.

Oxfam? Is that Oxfam unwrapped? or pressie shopping MHC?

That's fab Daisy! How lovely you are, and how nice to get to drop in for a coffee!

andiemisletoe · 03/12/2007 15:44

Hi everyone been out an about today took lunch to a friend who has had to have a hip replacement although she is only 48. She broke her hip skiing 15 yrs ago and the joint collapsed two weeks ago. She was ok but a bit bored so we did some online shopping together

Daisy you are so sweet to pop in and see the lady you were chatting to

Fairy here is the hotel we stayed at in portugal we had a family suite and booked through american express

must go crying baby

justbeme · 03/12/2007 16:23

Daisy I know youve been trying to sell your pram for some time - why the cheek? what did that deleted message say?

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 03/12/2007 16:28

she basically came on and said she had a similar pram, also vvvgc and wanted a lot less than what she paid for it (but didn't say how much) and included her e-mail address.

Cheeky mare....so I reported it to MN. She can start her own bloody thread; it's taken me long enough to get even a whiff of interest in mine without regular sellers muscling in on my thread.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 03/12/2007 16:29

I'm steeling myself for the hell on earth that is taking DS for his swimming lesson....and thinking of suing DH for breach of promise as he said he'd work from home on Mondays so he could take him.

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 03/12/2007 16:33

afternoon!

daisy, hope dd is ok. what was the deleted message on your thread?

foxy, i'm sorry you are having a shitty day. do you & dp have plans for later (not those sort of plans ) can you bothst chill out and just send some quality time together?

andie, your poor friend! hope the internet shopping cheered her up.

sputnik, did you get to eat and did ds stay asleep?

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 03/12/2007 16:39

what a cow daisy!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 03/12/2007 16:40

Glad MN backed you up re your thread Daisy, I thought it was a bit much. Perhaps excusable after yours had been sold but...

DD has been hard work this pm, alternating between giggly and grizzly at the drop of a pin, so I couldn't get much else done as she needed constant attention. Finally asleep on my lap

Foxy, hope your day picks up.

IsawBUMPERkissingsantaclaus · 03/12/2007 16:52

urgh jammy, i hate those days. you just have to resign yourself to it though

I bought my secret santa prezzy today!

also bought my mn appeal secret santa prezzy. I dn't have a lot of money to put towards it but I am buying for a mnetter with a 6yo boy. I bought a power ranger mask and cape set and a couple of simple magic tricks. Does that sound ok for a 6 yo boy? I have no idea!

justbeme · 03/12/2007 16:57

that sounds good Bumper.

Daisy, i bought something off her and ive learnt my lesson - in future ask its condition -
it was one of those rear view mirrors for the car, and its very scratched - still useable tho - but i couldnt have sold it without mentioning that. she sells alot of stuff on here -

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 03/12/2007 17:06

I fucking hate christmas shopping. I very nearly lost the will to live. Dd was screaming and moaning the whole time and everyone was in my bloody way. It was so busy and it's only the 3rd! I think I might just do the rest of it online!

Daisy, you are so sweet going to see that new mum! I wish you lived near me!

DO you want me to find out where that biatch on the buggy thread lives? I'll go round and sort her out for you. Bloody cheek!

OP posts:
nowbringussomeJammypudding · 03/12/2007 17:12

For those who are feeling gloomy, here's an embaressing story to cheer you up. I've just been reading an AIBU thread about how someone's friend keeps letting herself in with the spare key. It reminded me of years ago, we were expecting friends round at Xpm and with half hour to spare we decided to, ahem, "pop upstairs". 25 hot, sweaty, and rather noisy minutes later I came downstairs to find friends sitting in our living room (which was directlu under bedroom)! We didn't know but our front door lock was broken, so it appeared that the door was unlocked when they'd tried it so had let themselves in. I was so embaressed, but very glad that I decided against running downstairs naked to pick up clean clothes off the washing pile

andiemisletoe · 03/12/2007 17:25
