Pesha - I think I'm way ahead of you in the going on stakes tonight

PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub · 14/11/2007 20:50

No you don't go on (well not much ), thank you .

I know she will be nice enough to bring along. Just feels a bit weird tbh.

Better call him back and explain.

Off for some more painkillers and an early night. Everyone else is asleep so why not me??

Promised myself I would spend yet another night at pc. x

PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub · 14/11/2007 20:51

underwire · 14/11/2007 20:53

Where is Ellie? Havent noticed her logged into msn for a while either.

weeonion · 14/11/2007 21:03

pinions - i would say get her along. she would probably be as nervous as anything to meet the family on masse for the first time.

geordiemacminx · 14/11/2007 21:17

As long as she brings a good present

NorthernLurker · 14/11/2007 21:21

Good point GMM - duff present and/or dodgy shoes show her the door

underwire · 14/11/2007 21:23

lol at dodgy shoes

NorthernLurker · 14/11/2007 21:28

I hope ellie is ok - there's no way she'd let us get away with a thread this long usually

busywithIzzy · 14/11/2007 21:35

Evening all

Sorry haven't caught up yet...just wanted a bit of a rant!

After feeling reassured by the GP today, I decided unwisely to have Izzy weighed, she has only put on 11oz in just over a month and once again has slipped down on the centiles chart. Despite telling the HV that I had spoken to GP this morning, she still wants me to go back to GP to 'cover herself'

I know I just shouldn't have gone and had her weighed, but to be honest it was a spur of the moment thing after going to the dentist. Izzy had just done a big poo and hadn't eaten since breakfast because she had been asleep until I had to wake her to go to the dentist (she had been asleep for 3.5hrs)so I suppose she would have been heavier had it not been for this. So it looks like another trip to the GP

StealthPolarBear · 14/11/2007 21:38

hi everyone
just caught up
uw, sorry to hear your DS is being picked on Might it will blow over fairly quickly at this age?
maveta, fantastic news
GMM, do you know how Christopher is doing?
Hello to everyone else, better dash as it's nearly bed time

StealthPolarBear · 14/11/2007 21:42

x post BWI, sorry, what a pain!

underwire · 14/11/2007 21:47

BWI, I am sure that those things had an effect on Izzy's weight today. Try not to worry, the gp is only going to say the same as they did today. She is thriving and well and happy, that is what matters

SPB, really hoping this will just blow over. He is too young to be dealing with this sort of crap.

I keep reading messages directed at UW and it takes a while to realise thats me!

geordiemacminx · 14/11/2007 21:52

SPB - As far as I know he is ok - they were in Sunderland hospital cos they didnt have 2 incubators together but he has now been moved to Newcastle and is doing well - obviously will be in hospital until he reaches "term".

cazboldy · 14/11/2007 21:57

sorry sexonlegs - only just seen your post - molly is 15lbs 7oz as of last thurs!

StealthPolarBear · 14/11/2007 22:00

That's good, bet it's going to feel like a very long time for them though
Right I really am going now, good night everyone xx

Sexonlegs · 14/11/2007 22:01

Hi all, just thought I would pop in before bed. Have been wrapping pressies for my brother and co out in Singapore - think the postage is going to cause us to re-mortgage!

BWI, I just wanted to say, as hard as this is, please try not to worry. K is only doing 3 ounces a week, which equates to 12 ounces a month. Plus Izzy has had such a dreadful cold and cough - all things that are going to put lo's off food. I saw Izzy last week, and I am no medic, but she looks really well to me, and she is moving about all over the place - burning off all the yummy food her lovely mummy is giving her.

Really these charts should be burned.

xx

busywithIzzy · 14/11/2007 22:02

Thanks UW & SPB - To be honest I am not worried or stressed just a bit annoyed with HV. I've talked to DH and decided I'll go back to GP and do whatever they want just to get them off my back.

UW - Sorry to hear about DS. Glad school was ok for him today!

Pinions - Hope migrane goes away. I agree with GMM allow her to come but stipulate the need for a present

Pesha - glad you had a good time today. The outfit for D is lovely.

Congratultions to your sister Maveta, great news!

Be thinking of you next week Oooggs.

Hello Nutty good to see you.

NL - Sounds like you've had another hectic day!

Enjoy the AGM Elkie.

Off to bed now. Night all xx

Sexonlegs · 14/11/2007 22:04

Hi Cazboldy - a grand weight. K was 15 pounds 3 yesterday. Small but perfectly formed, with the most gorgeous temperament. She is my angel baby [soppy emoticon]

cazboldy · 14/11/2007 22:08

BWI see mine and sol's earlier posts re weight - they do naturaaly slow down at this age remember, as they are a lot more active now - also do be careful with her eyes, and don't let the doctor fob you off.when M was born, the next day she had "sticky eye", but it got worse and worse no matter what I did. I mentioned it to the MW, and the HV when she did her visit at 10 days, and by the time she was 10 days old I had been to the doctors 3 times about it. Finally when she was 2 weeks, I was wiping her eyes and blood came out! I rang the doctors (again) and they said they would see her that afternoon, but I decided I couldn't wait, and I took her to the hospital a&e. She had a terrible eye infection and had to have really strong drops to clear it up. Thankfully no lasting damage.

busywithIzzy · 14/11/2007 22:08

Thanks SOL She now weighs 13lbs 15oz at 31 weeks! She's still so cute though. I swear she has started saying mummum. Especially when crying for me....bless.

Glad to hear Christopher is doing well GMM.

Hello Cazboldy.

Night SPB.

cazboldy · 14/11/2007 22:08

oh and maveta, congrats to your sister!
