I don't mind carefully selected "funnies" from friends, I just hate the "I just forwarded this to everyone in my adress book because I felt like it, even though I haven't actually read the attached document properly" type forwards - The ones IDOC sends are always good ones!

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 14/11/2007 10:40

The thing that does bother me is when people do reply all when really it just needs to go back to the sender.

Right - someone make me go and do something productive!... maybe a cup of tea first though lol

CaptainDippy · 14/11/2007 10:44

Ooooh, one for me too - quite milky with one sugar, please!

Bramshott · 14/11/2007 10:47

Hello - just popping by.

BWI - Sorry you had a crap night. O had recently had very gunky eyes and my childminder said to squirt some breastmilk into them. I was a bit sceptical, but it really worked!! Cleared up within a day or two.

Hmm. Funny forwards. Tricky one - as I rule, I don't really like them, but what I PARTICULARLY don't like is one fried who often sends me them, and never, never sends me any other sort of email! I haven't seen her in years, and every time she sends one through I want to shout - "If you have time to read that and send it on, then just bloody well send me a message to say how you are etc"!!

oooggs · 14/11/2007 10:52

octo - Erin is commando crawling very quickly and nothing is safe

Sexonlegs · 14/11/2007 11:00

Morning ladies

Oh no NITS?? My favourite subject, apart from poo!

Fortunately, we seem to be rid of the blighters after the Head Teacher sent out a letter at a half term saying she wanted the school to be bug free.

CD, hope P is better soon. Nowt worse than poorly babes.

Where are Runny's pics? On her profile or somewhere else??

Well, I have been to the GP with K and she was v amused by the fuss the HV is making! There is nothing wrong with her - not anaemic, looks healthy, v alert blah blah. Just a small baby. I mentioned the poo, and she just said some people have v speedy digestive systems, and not to worry. She has said not to go back for two MONTHS!!!! She said going back every other week is a nonsense and just serves to stress me more!

She also laughed out loud when I said that the HV had told me to make mealtimes fun!!

She is a very trendy and down to earth GP who can be a bit abrupt, but I like her no shit attitude!

Bramshott · 14/11/2007 11:05

SOL - your GP sounds great!! Glad that you were/are reassured and once again, HV talking bollocks!

Maveta · 14/11/2007 11:05

bramshott - totally!! I also don't mind the odd one here or there but there are definitely people who pass on every single thing that lands in their inbox and it drives me crazy.

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 14/11/2007 11:16

oooggs - I can see a glint in ernies eyes re crawling - he can go backwards on his tummy and back but no commando or crawling. He has a really bad chest and cold atm - off to doctors this afternoon. Has been snuggled up in bed all morning - sligh temp too

CaptainDippy · 14/11/2007 11:32

Think I'm going maaaaaad .......

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 14/11/2007 12:01

Ernie is a sleeper too Dippy - I just make the most of it!

busywithIzzy · 14/11/2007 12:08

did a post ages ok and it has disappeared

Izzy's eyes terrible this morning, so took her to the doctors, just to be on the safe side. GP said it is a cold that has gone into her eyes, it may be 2/3 months before they stop being gunky in the morning

I also mentioned how the HV had been stressing me out about weight gain, she like SOL's GP laughed and said she looked healthy (apart from the crusty/snotiness )in proportion etc etc so not to worry and if HV starts again to say I've taken her to GP and she is not concerned... Feeling much happier.

Did I say before that I signed up to be a parent tester on the TIPS website. Today have just received 6 bras and a bf top to trial how sad that I am getting excited about it. Have tried them all on already and there are three that I definately don't like, but three I really do Free bras for me

Anyway enough about me onto other stuff.

Oooggs- Hope hv has some useful advice does that ever happen Well done you for the halloween outfits, they look gorgeous!

Good to see you Bramshott, will try breast milk in the eye, have heard before it's supposed to work.

SOL - Glad to hear Gp has put your mind at rest too!

With regard to forward emails, I don't mind specially selected ones, but I have one friend who just sends everything on, normally get deleted before even looking at them!

You ok Dippy?

Haven't seen Ellie/POTC around in a while...come out come out whereever you are!! Hope you're ok.

Hello everyone else.

Turkeyandsproutsx3 · 14/11/2007 12:35

Glad all is well with Izzy

For you zebra folk - the nappy head website has zebra outfits for kids - don;t worry tho its not a cloth nappy site LOL

Sexonlegs · 14/11/2007 12:35

CD, what's wrong???

Oooggs, hope the HV visit has helped.

BWI, poor Izzy's eyes. I guess you have just tried cleaning them with cotton wool and water? I bought some drops over the counter a while ago, as I thought K had conjunctivitis. Seems a long time for her to suffer with them.

Found Runny's pics. Absolutely lovely!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

I was supposed to be having one of the senior managers over for a meeting, but have cancelled. I am getting fed up of it now - I'll be back before they know it fgs!

oooggs · 14/11/2007 12:50

hi again - hv helped in the way that she just listened to me, once I had said what I wanted to I realised that it was only them sleeping (or not) at night which was the problem and we are working on that. I am only tired due to this and I have everything else under control (says me the control freak!!!)

Hope Izzys eyes improve soon

you ok dippy?

at your work sol

octo - Jack is rocking and slightly moving and he is trying - os so trying

runnyhabbit · 14/11/2007 13:12

afternoon all

Thank you for you're comments about my pics Have to admit the one of dh and J is an absolute favourite of mine. Got it framed in the kitchen (well I seem to spend most of my life in there so only makes sense I have something nice to look at)

W has been really, really constipated, bless him. Was up at 2am because he was trying to poo tmi alert - when it did come out, it was solid, and about the size of a chestnut. He's had another 4 of those so far today. I've never heard him cry like it before - absolutely broke my heart, and even J looked worried and started to pat him and tell him "s'alright bruva" bless. Anyway, think its worn him out, cos he's been asleep since 12pm.

And, thought we were going to have to buy a new cooker as the oven isn't heating up, but after a bit of research by yours truly have deducted the element needs replacing. (at least I hope thats all it is....)

Sorry for no personals, got in "head in shed" syndrome atm

Agree with you all about forwards. My sil is like Bramshotts friend. She has the time to send me so called "funnies", yet never calls to see how dh or the boys are, then has the cheek to complain she never knows what we're doing!

(btw, do you want me to stop sending the ELC money off stuff)

sol great news about hv
oooggs know what you mean about sleeping (although I'm finding it hard with just W waking, never mind 2. I am in awe that you've kept your sanity!)

and hello everyone else

(hope thats personal enough for the April ladies)

OOoo dear, am I in trouble for forwarding stuff sometimes?. Honest I only ever do it when I think it's genuinely funny/relevant. I know I don't do it very often, but I too receive loads and loads of forwarded stuff, most of it utter bollocks. And I too have a 'friend' whom I haven't seen for years who send all kinds of complete crap, but never a 'how are you?'. TBH it doesn't really bother me when I get stuff sent to my home email - it's when I get it at work that it can wind me up as my inbox is always overloaded with work stuff.

Runny - poor little W and his chesnuts. Hope he feels better soon. And it prob is the element with the cooker - we had the same thing earlier this year.

SOL - glad all is well with K. You know she's ok, bloody HV for making you worry.

NL - OK, so we're now in the same boat as you re. moving. Saw the most utterly delicious house yesterday, but they won't accept any offers from people who aren't yet in a position to move. Apparently there are a number of people who are interested in the house, but none have sold their own homes (us included). So it's now a waiting game.....send me and NL positive moving/house sale vibes please.

underwire · 14/11/2007 14:48

IDOC, have you still got the scary email from halloween? If you have can you send it to me please >>>>>>>

I am so stressed today and for no real reason. Just one of those days I think. Want to go up on to a mountain and scream my bloody head off!! Dh is being pretty good at the moment and the kids are fine. I am a bit worried about ds though. He is being called fat in school again. He has started telling me he doesnt want to go to school (he still goes in with no fuss), and I feel awful for making him go if he is getting picked on Have spoken to the teacher about it so I suppose I will just have to wait and see what happens. Feel so that at 4 years old this is happening to him. Kids can be such bastards sometimes. Have asked my angels to look after him. I know that most of you are probably not into that kind of stuff, but it works for me!

SOL, really pleased that the gp has finally talked sense. Hooray for K being completely normal!

Oooggs, erin and jack are so cute! Those tops are fab, very impressed at your creativity

Cant remember much more now, off in a bit to get ds from school. See you later xx

underwire · 14/11/2007 14:50

Bloody typical, I have struggled all day to get F to go to sleep. She is sleeping now and we need to go to school

Idreamofchocolate · 14/11/2007 15:00

UW - I've sent it to what I hope is the right address. Poor little ds - I hope his teachers can manage to stop the bullying; what a horrid thing to happen at such a young age, makes me so .

Bramshott · 14/11/2007 15:07

No no no IDOC - we don't mean your forwarded things, or indeed anything forwarded by anyone here!!

Sending house-selling vibes your way!

Idreamofchocolate · 14/11/2007 15:14

Bramshott - how're you doing?

runnyhabbit · 14/11/2007 15:25

Well W has finally done a soft poo
The look of relief on his face was a picture. Just need to make sure that it doesn't happen again (although J used to get v constipated as a baby, and my mum says that I did too - although thats waaay tmi)

UW at the little sods at ds school. Your ds is absolutley gorgeous

Best go and give J some attention Been so concerned with W, I've just stuck cbeebies on and left J to it

Maveta · 14/11/2007 15:35

oh man I've got you all paranoid now! Actually I don't get much off any of you lot at all and what I do get doesn't bother me in the slightest. It was more this particular instance of giving my email to someone I don't know (have met once) to suddenly come back and find they've sent me rubbish. It's like you gave your home address to someone and then found it was them who was ramming those supermarket ad fliers through your door every night
