Here you go Eli!

I almost put 'your clothespegs' on the end there. Ds loves clothespegs. Came home from Rainbows the other day and dp had made a deal with ds. He could play with the clothespegs as long as he did it in his playpen and let dp make dinner.

Hi Guys

Well, baby glass was one today! She's full of cold but seemed happy with her balloon & cake and toy. DD1 looked after her and helped open all of her presents.

They were both sick yesterday which has meant we're all tired today but everything has gone well.

Hope everyone is fine..

Gloria42 · 09/12/2007 20:48

Loving all the new pictures! Will have to update my profile soon so you can all see my handsome man!
He met Santa for the first time today at his first ever Christmas party, was a complete star although he does seem to have ideas above his station re playing with bigger boys (who are all completely non-interested in the baby who thinks they are heros!)

accessorizewithbabysick · 09/12/2007 22:19

Aww, happy birthday baby gs, hope your sister didn't hog all your stuff! DS2 still not getting a look in here, but thank god he's feeling better. He got me up at 5.30 this morning, but was so perky with it I forgave him. Hadn't seen a smile in 2 days!
We made another attempt to get to the grotto which is a mere 4 miles away, and it had shut 2 mins before. Grrr.

jabberwocky · 10/12/2007 00:18

Happy Birthday, Baby Glass! Funny about hogging the stuff, AQ as that is exactly what happened at our house.

Indith, are you doing saline rinses for the sinusitis? I hate doing it, but it usually helps a lot.

AwayinaMargoNooNooCribForABed · 10/12/2007 00:19

Bless baby FGS - Happy birthday!

FrostyGlassSlipper · 10/12/2007 08:45

Thanks everyone.

Babyglass is now in bed with a temp and dose of medised. DD1 is off pre-school. Both still have coughs, colds etc.

DD2 has another tooth which came by without me noticing so now she has 6 although the top middle is missing so she's going to look a bit goofy. Totally different to DD1 who got 2 at 9 months and then no more until about 13 months. Still, it explains why she has a never ending cold.

Have to go for a blood test this morning so get 30 mins on my own....

Elibean · 10/12/2007 10:57

Happy birthday baby Glass, and all the other babies I've missed

Internet problems: our provider phoned up offering an expensive upgrade, dh said no, two hours later no more internet Suspect they've upgraded the local system and we needed their blinking upgrade too - but did they tell us? Ho no. So dh in a stew and we're changing providers which takes ages. Have borrowed mobile phone internect connection thingy to post, hope this works!

So sorry to read about sinusitis and endless bugs....really is a bleak winter bug-wise. No bronchiolitis so far, hurrah, but endless colds/coughs here too - am so blase about snot now I have to stop myself wiping dd2's nose on my sleeve when out

Still, Xmas tree lights and birthdays and the prospect of not having to get up early for pre-school all cheering - miss you lot though, and will do far too much chatting when we get hte new internet up!

Off to read back as much as poss until connection goes - lots of love to all till I resurface again xxx

FrostyGlassSlipper · 11/12/2007 09:54

I am soooo tired

AwayinaMargoNooNooCribForABed · 11/12/2007 10:02

What's happened? no sleep?

FrostyGlassSlipper · 11/12/2007 11:12

Coughs, colds, vomiting here. Both DDs unwell. I'm knackered. Totally lost it with DD1 in the middle of the night which meant DH had to sleep in the spare room with her as she was so upset

babypowder · 11/12/2007 11:37

Oh FGS, you poor thing. I can completely understand losing it in the middle of the night. Have one of these {{{{}}}}

I am so unprepared for Christmas. I haven't even made my stollen yet. Oh dear, must get skates on and get off MN!

jabberwocky · 11/12/2007 16:06

So sorry, FGS. We had it except for the vomiting, ewww.

What;s stollen?

AwayinaMargoNooNooCribForABed · 11/12/2007 20:07

FGS - get well vibes and hugs from me too.

dd2 woke with a temp today and has been very clingy. It's her birthday tomorrow, so we have been preparing for an invasion of small people tomorrow. (my MIL and mum )

accessorizewithbabysick · 11/12/2007 22:05

FGS, I have done that too, we're mums not saints and sometimes it is bloody hard! Hope today was better. Hugs!
Happy birthday for tomorrow baby margo!

Indith · 11/12/2007 22:09

Oh we are a poorly lot!

I am in love with antibiotics and the preassure is finally receeding. I hate hate hate hate hate sinusitis. I used to get it every month until the age of 19. It had better bloody well not be coming back. Was so bad though, inflamed so much around the eyes I was getting blurry vision.

Not good when you have essays to write. Still on the last one now and have just managed to go several hundred words over my limit and not said half what I want to say. So I shall print it off tomorrow and attack it with a highlighter. Got loads of time it was only due in yesterday

Can't believe how fab ds is being though. He is still just a little angel! Well, little star perhaps, angels wouldn't get into so much mischief

Stollen Jabber is wonderful stuff, basically cake wrapped around marzipan.

Yum yum

I need to start on florentines and chocolate truffles soon. Have to get a batch in before Christmas actually arrives just to make sure I remember how to make them from last year

Oh God I've clearly been doing too much typing today. I've lost the ability to punctuate!

Hello AQ!

By the way AQ dear are you planning on going to the Hull Christmas gathering? Would be muchly fun if you did. Get to meet Squonk and StGeorge and all!

accessorizewithbabysick · 11/12/2007 22:14

Urgggh, yes, sinusitis awful, indith, I'm glad you're recovering! It feels like you're in a painful cloud all day really, doesn't it? I couldn't think straight at all when I had it bad a couple of months ago. Just had it again, so I'm havhing some kind of scan in Jan to check things out. What was that about treatment, Jabber - salt something?
Hope the essay gets done, Indith, anyway, sure you can. How've you been getting on baby groups or have you been too busy for all that? I had someone ring tonight I met at massage months ago, which was really nice, she wants to meet up sometime. I sent her an invite to the boys' party on Friday to sort of keep the lines of communication open so to speak.

accessorizewithbabysick · 11/12/2007 22:15

Hullo indith!
Must go off to bed, but when is gathering? Hadn't followed it all and don't knw any of those people except wrinklytum who probably can't make it.

nickernacker · 11/12/2007 22:17

Hi...happy birthday babies who've already celebrated (dd3s on the 14th), and
'Get Well Soon' and a virtual helium ballon to all the poorly mums and kids.
Much sympathy. Dd1 is earachey atm, but our colds have gone.

Indith · 11/12/2007 22:19

Also off ot bed!

meet up is being organised here and I'm going! Fitting in some parental Christmas visiting so may aswell!

Not got any baby groups sorted yet. Just far too much going on. I think I will just have to lump it until this last year at uni is done and dusted but had a text from someone I know from bumps and babies today. Unfortunately she and someone else areplanning on going out on Saturday when I am at panto with the Rainbows!

Nicker - Ooh I know you! Oli?

AwayinaMargoNooNooCribForABed · 11/12/2007 22:36

Or are you GHBC?

WB?

AwayinaMargoNooNooCribForABed · 11/12/2007 22:41

Aha, I was right on my second guess!

GodzillasBumcheek · 11/12/2007 23:05

Goodnight! Am having to go but don't want to. Ah well, that's life.

jabberwocky · 12/12/2007 00:31

Saline irrigation really helps a lot. I just do a simple technique where I mix up some salt and warm water in a glass then I pour a little in my cupped hand stick my nose very close and give it a snort! Sounds horrible but it's not actually that bad and it does clear you up. Just don't get too much salt in the water or it can burn. (only did that once...)
