Fucking Tesco! I ordered the shopping on 'tinterweb yesterday and instead of ordering loads of veggies I ordered an organic veg box. Well...the shopping has just arrived and the veg boxes weren't in stock. So now I have no veggies and am going to have to go out and get some so I may as well have just gone to the bloody supermarket anyway. The greengrocer down the road has closed down, so I'm gonna have to go to a sodding supermarket...ARSE ARSE ARSE!

Sputnik, sorry your dd is poorly. Hope she is better soon and hope no-one else gets it.

Thanks for the advice about the thread bumper! I've changed it now and it's back to normal!

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 12/11/2007 11:28

Holly, Sainsburys did a similar thing to me a few weeks ago - no formula was delivered. As you say, it meant I had to go to the supermarket anyway so I may as well have just done all my shopping myself. What a waste of time.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 12/11/2007 11:30

tesco are tossers holly!

Fairy, it may not even be a problem, but if it is the replacements are pretty cheap. Thanks again

Sputnik · 12/11/2007 12:00

Luckily she was with DH in the supermarket
she's pretty listless but at least not puking.

God I wish i could do online food shopping here, you are lucky! If I go to the supermarket with the baby I have to put him in the trolley in his car seat, the trolleys are small and it leaves room for about 3 items. As DH didn't manage to get anything yesterday I'm not sure what i'll be able to rustle up for dinner. I have to go out later but really don't want to face supermarket with sick DD in tow

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 12/11/2007 12:06

I guess we are pretty lucky sputnik! I love the fact I can do the shopping online and have it bought straight to my door, but it all seems rather pointless when you have to go out for things anyway!

Hope your dd's food has stayed down, poor lamb.

Bumper, my pump has a crack in the funnel (where I tried to force a brush down it to clean it!) and it works just fine.

Sputnik · 12/11/2007 12:18

She is now asleep on me,which makes a change from the baby.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/11/2007 15:09

Aw Sputnik...hope DD is feeling better....

DD just had a huge paddy for no particular reason....just got her calmed down and the dog came in from his walk and run around the house like a loony....cue DD to start again....tears running down her cheeks the lot.....

then we realise the dog has cut his pad and there is blood EVERYWHERE.....including my new beige hall carpet..............and all my cleaning stuff is under a ton of shit in the garage cos I have no kitchen to put it in

AAAARRRRRSSSSSSSEEEEEEE!! Fuck Fuck Fuck!!!

(sorry )

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 12/11/2007 15:11

And what with Tesco's Holly ...when they do that to me I ring up and MOAN and usually get a goodwill discount....not that it helps....but its something I spose

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 12/11/2007 15:37

Norty, sorry to hear about DD and dog and blood...

Having a better day today.DD is having a bit of a paddy now, because she's tired, but has been a real cutie until now. And might know the reason for so much trouble last week - I've spotted what looks like a tooth coming through. Certainly a small, hard, pointy, white thing. But it's not at the front, which is what I was expecting, but about halfway back. Also, (and this is more worrying to me) it's not coming through the top surface of the gum, but the front, the bit that is against the inside of the mouth, if that makes sense? Does anyone know if I should do anything about it?

OP posts:
Sputnik · 12/11/2007 16:09

Jammy, DD had a dot like that in her mouth when she was a baby, I assumed it was tooth but in the end it wasn't (no idea what it was though, sorry)

She is now feeling better enough to bug me btw

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 12/11/2007 16:14

Thanks Sputnik. I'll wait and see what happens then. Glad your DD is picking up.

OP posts:
Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 12/11/2007 17:33

Jammy DD has a lump at the front of her gum too. not sure if it related to her teething, but i assumed it was.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 12/11/2007 17:35

glad dd is feeling better sputnik. just a passing bug do you think?

Sputnik · 12/11/2007 18:08

Probably a passing bug which will now rip through the rest of the family.
She still hs a bit of fever but is busily tidying up. Something is definitely up

NattyThomasandEllen · 12/11/2007 18:52

annobalthebignosereindeer · 12/11/2007 19:06

Hi Natty, welcome back. How's the new house?

Sputnik for dd. Hope she's better soon,

What a pita Holly - i hate tescos anyway and get our veges from a local box scheme.

Norty, sounds like you've had a shitty day.

i have good news of sorts - i was dreading coming home as washing machine being fixed today and i have piles of washing to do. got home and still not fixed. that's now 2 months without...

annobalthebignosereindeer · 12/11/2007 19:07

Jammy, could it be the tooth descending?

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 12/11/2007 19:09

Hi Natty, welcome back

Wow Ellen sounds like she's an active girl! I'm glad it's not just my buddha-baby that's well into 6-9 month clothes already! Oliver is rolling over but shows no desire to sit up yet. He's on 2 solid meals a day and is trying to grab his big Sister's lunch so I am going to have to give in and make it three pretty soon.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 12/11/2007 19:10

Hi annobal. bit about how washing machine still being broken is good news?

NattyThomasandEllen · 12/11/2007 19:17

Yes thats exactly the reason ellen is on three meals a day she keeps grabbing tom's food. The new house is great, only prob is red ants which are proving to be hard to get rid off. How is everyone? Quick run down please from everyone as its really hard to read more than a few comments on this phone and i've been good 2 months! Missed you all terribly!

New house is great thanks for asking, and both kiddies are now in bed by 8 most nights. Really looking forward to xmas, tom is old enough this year, started buying presents already. Hows everyone? Give me a quick run down as i can't read more than a few posts on this phone
