Oh someone's here.
Hi Daisy

Sputnik · 08/11/2007 13:25

Sounds like type-casting with your DS there Daisy

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 14:03

Sorry to hear about your Mum, Daisy. I'd also definitely say go and see her as you'll not regret seeing her 'too much' but could regret not seeing her enough

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 08/11/2007 14:27

Afternoon all!

I'm having a v v good day! Dd has done 3 poos and 3 wees on her potty and only one little accident (which was by the changing table where I keep the nappies, she was trying to get herself one to wee in!). The trouble is I have been bribing her to get her to use the potty and now she wants a piece of chocolate everytime she uses it. She is even trying to go when she doesn't need to just to get treats...she is a smart girl! I think I might start using a reward chart instead otherwise there'll be no choc left for me!

Daisy, I echo everyone else about seeing your mum. I'm sure it would be a great comfort to her to see you xxx

The play sounds great, how cool that mrr had a starring role! Can you put some pics on FB? I'd love to see him as a monkey king!

I have some lovely platform boots that I bought last year from clarks, but I've hardly worn them. I was pg last winter and I can't wear them atm coz of my knee! They are the most comfy boots I've ever had and I love them! I also have this bag that dp bought me the xmas just before dd was born. I've hardly used that either as I only really carry a changing bag! I am so un-glam!

justbeme · 08/11/2007 14:29

Remember last thursday? no prob not - but a friend from work was supposed to come round in her lunch hour and she texted me at gone 12 to say work had sent her somewhere? So we rescheduled for today - mmm Deja Vu - except this time the text came at 13:10 - and theres never a sorry.
If I block her on MSN, will she Know??
I havent seen her since about Jan time and I really cant be bothered anymore (she's made it here once out of 4 visits - the 1st I'd even made lunch for her).

justbeme · 08/11/2007 14:53

good news about the potty training Holly!

DynamiteDaisy · 08/11/2007 16:09

what an afternoon. MRR has been in the wars again . He was running full tilt and tripped over someone's foot. He went headlong and bounced his skull off the tarmac. He has a huge egg and a nasty gash. I couldn't get the doctors as they are closed for training and NHS direct isn't connecting; it just sounds all fuzzy. So called the out of hours surgery who said it'll be fine, but then it started bleeding again, so I got my neighbour who is a retired nurse to come over and look art it. She has put some steri strips on it to close it up, and doesn't think it needs stitching. Poor thing is really miserable

Am thinking a day off tomorrow coupled by a trip to see his Nanna

DynamiteDaisy · 08/11/2007 16:12

jbm, dump her....or tell her next time she wants to visit to phone on the day, and if you're in all well and good, but if not....

I hate it when people do that; assume you have nothing better to do than sit around and wait for them.

good going with the potty training holly, but LOL at your clever DD.

BadZelda · 08/11/2007 16:21

Hey all

Heavens have broken out over Brixton - luckily I just got home in time. I do hate this dark at 4pm thing!

Great news about the potty training Holly - sounds like the end of day nappies is in sight. I do find it hard to remember to remember if DD1 might need the toilet when we're out though...luckily she has a strong bladder OR doesn't drink enough...not sure which.

Daisy: trip to Nanna's sounds like a great idea: do it!

JBM: make her come round and babysit, so you can go out for dinner with DP. If she refuses tell her a real friend wouldn't hesitate and that's the end of it! (ok, that's probably a terrible idea...)

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 08/11/2007 16:33

Afternoon all

Poor DS Daisy ....but fab idea to go and see his nanna....she will love to see them both.

JBM - don't need friends like that.........people like that really piss me off!

Right hungry cat, hungry dog and hungry DD to see to.....

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 08/11/2007 16:43

AARRGGHHH!! Two more accidents, one on the floor, one on the sofa! Bloody potty training! I've decided that a SAHM's job mainly consists of wiping...wiping up wee, wiping bums, wiping the dishes, wiping the floor...never ending wiping!!

Poor MRR daisy, hope he is ok. A day off to see Grandma sounds like a fab idea!

JBM, what a silly mare! Maybe you could ring her up and arrange to meet for lunch and then not turn up. Maybe you could arrange to meet in town and watch her waiting for you from a distance and snigger! Or is that childish?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 08/11/2007 16:43

Hi,

sorry to hear about DS's head Daisy, though assemblt thing sounded good. Trip to his nanna sounds good for tomorrow.

at your aquaintance, JBM (not a friend in my books if that's how she treats you)

DD was horrible until we got to the school when she turned into a cutie pie - until 30 sdeconds after we got home that is And no DH tonight, so I've just got to grimace and bear it.

andiemisletoe · 08/11/2007 16:43

just made it back from the school run before the heavens opened as well bz

Daisy your plan sounds like exactly the right one day off tomorrow and off to see nanna

jbm ditch her pronto

Holly good news re the potty traning that seems such a long way off for lo and my other is mostly independent

andiemisletoe · 08/11/2007 16:44

holly x posted maybe not so successful after all

deckthehallswithboughsofholly · 08/11/2007 16:49

It's just one step forwards and two steps back! I need her to be potty trained, I can't handle the pooey nappies anymore and 2 sets of nappies to wash is too much. I only ever seem to wash nappies, the pile of dirty clothes is getting bigger and bigger and bigger...

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 08/11/2007 16:59

Well one bloody thing has worked out at least. HR have confirmed I have enough leave to do what I planned, so I can now write them the official letter.

DD still being horrible. Feeding again (only an hour since last time), but it does keep her quiet at least.

andiemisletoe · 08/11/2007 17:06

holly one word despicables........

Sputnik · 08/11/2007 17:27

Holly I started out bribing DD with chocolate for potty training, after a while we transitioned to sticking cool sparkly stars (that she chose) on the potty. she liked that just as much.

trace2 · 08/11/2007 19:15

daisy lost your email, if you not got mine its tracy pearson6 at hot mail dot com.

been to pead today been told they never sean or heard anyone like chloe posture for hours, they are trying to find out whats up wi her but no sucsess again been told to get a doll to do crp on every day for when needed, and enjoy her, they are scaring me half to death! she looks like a normal little girl.

sorry just needed to get of my chest

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 19:19

trace, I really feel for you. It must be very hard living under that stress. I really hope that they can give you some answers soon

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 08/11/2007 19:20

Trace, sorry you still don't have an answer. Must be awful for you all. Sorry, but I had to smile at your message (without wishing to sound flippant, but I hope you will see the funny side) I mis-read crp as a typo and thought you had a doll to cr&p on every day! Seriously though that would scare me too. I hope you never need to do it for real, but better to be ready in case I guess.
