Here we go again...

I didn't mean to make any comment on your spelling - just my over-hasty reading.

Well, I'm glad today is over. LO was a right pain for most of the day, apart from the bit when we were out at a group, so then everyone thought she was really cute. I must admit it did look sweet when she sat holding hands with the little girl next to her DH is working late, so I've done bedtime, put out the rubbish and recyling, done the dishwasher, tidied the kitchen, cooked some swede to try with LO for lunch tomorrow, and am about to have my tea at last. And what culinary delight have I got? Fish finger sandwiches

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 20:01

Hi Andiem and Jammy

I too am DH-less as he;s out at a black tie dinner. , I think.

I am having annabel Karmel pasta sauce that I cooked for DD, and which she rejected! I couldn't be bothered to cook anything else and I think it's pretty good.

andiemisletoe · 08/11/2007 20:06

hi fairy my dh is fixing the toilet that he broke [he he] we had fajitas weight watchers style for tea and now I am going to ruin it all by having lemon cake that I made

dh is in australia next week are you still on for wed?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 08/11/2007 20:07

LOL andiem

Have decided to go for that bold red colour btw. Sent a link to my friend to show her that pic and hope she can get the right colour in. The transformation should be next Weds. I can't wait, am so fed up being drab and grey.

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 20:11

Yes def still on for weds. mmmm lemon cake, I really love that recipe. Have you tried the beetroot choc cake one yet? I'm tempted to but it does sound a bit odd!

Jammy, good for you, go for it!

andiemisletoe · 08/11/2007 20:16

must go ladies
jammy definitely go for hair colour you could be strawberry jammy then

flashbangfoxy · 08/11/2007 20:16

So sorry Trace, it must be so hard for you and your family. I often think of you when I'm going on about me, me, me and think its nothing compared to what you have to do. So you rant/cry/talk away, because I think this is a wonderfully supportive thread.

Now, anyone go any ideas how I can MAKE this baby drink this bottle of expressed hind milk I've built up all day and she is pushing out of her mouth and dribbling down her.

Jammy - I spoke to Neals Yard for some advice today. She suggested I drink super-strenght Camomile tea to sooth me and her. Wondered if it would help anyone else?

annobalthebignosereindeer · 08/11/2007 20:16

Evening all. Hope everyone is well.

What do we think of these

Right, off to catch up...

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 20:19

Would she take it out of a cup foxy, rather than a bottle?

Annobal, I really like those boots. that I am a size 9 and can never seem to find any nice boots to fit

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 08/11/2007 20:21

Lol at strawberry jammy.

Just finished off my masterchef dinner with a choc ice Good job DD is in bed and can't see me eating this stuff

OP posts:
annobalthebignosereindeer · 08/11/2007 20:21

sorry Trace. I really hope you get some answers soon - it must be so difficult.

Foxy, you poor thing. It sounds like she's just not hungry. Chamomile sounds like a good plan - i often take one to bed (then I'm up all night weeing)

annobalthebignosereindeer · 08/11/2007 20:22

Definitely on for Wed .

Am being summoned (sp?) away from boots so must go and help sort out dinner...

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 20:23

Foxy, can we persuade you to come along on Wednesday????

flashbangfoxy · 08/11/2007 20:25

nice! they'd be fab for the winter, you'll wear them heaps. definatly worth it

flashbangfoxy · 08/11/2007 20:27

I have to take lo to drs weds at 11 then I have lunch with a new baby mate I met at the HV clinic.

I can't waste this gold-top EBM!!! AARRRGGGGHHHHH!!

flashbangfoxy · 08/11/2007 20:28

But another time for sure!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 08/11/2007 20:29

Can you fridge it Foxy, and try her with it later/tomorrow?

OP posts:
FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 20:29

excellent, I will look forward to it

FairyOnTopOfTheChristmasTree · 08/11/2007 20:31

When DD was tiny, she had really bad mucous and wouldn't bf or take a bottle. She would, however, take ebm from one of those medecine dosing syringes. But it did take blardy ages......

flashbangfoxy · 08/11/2007 20:32

Trouble is I've warmed it once already. Been collecting it after every feed through the day. How long can I leave it at room temp?

Shouldn't re-heat, should I?

flashbangfoxy · 08/11/2007 20:33

I don't think she's hungry. She's had a bf. This is the top-up.

annobalthebignosereindeer · 08/11/2007 20:33

No but you can leave it for an hour at room temp I think (I have been known to leave it longer ).

flashbangfoxy · 08/11/2007 20:37

Cheers M'Dears!

BTW I spoke to Neals yard and they hadn't heard of that remedy. Is it one from your homeopath? Am going to seek it out tomorrow anyway.

DynamiteDaisy · 08/11/2007 20:37

foxy, if you look on kellymom, I'm sure there's something about being able to save ebm and reheat it once, so it doesn't need to go to waste. I'd check though, I may be spouting crap!

I've been tending to my "wounded little soldier's" (his words not mine, bless him) every whim but he's in bed now; DD is finally down (big time teething going on today; rosy red cheeks and pints of drool....nice). DS will be OK for school tomorrow, so I'll wait till next weekend before going up to Scotland, and keep him off school for a couple of days. I'll call the school next week and let them know the circumstances. I thought about not telling them and phoning in sick for him...but he would tell his teachers I just know it.
