Hi everyone, I need some help from those of you with older dc's that go to primary school

please look at this thread for me

would like to suggest some ideas to our preschool committee without lookin like a muppet

Thanks

Will try to catch up later, dh out tonight, so SOL he may well be crawling later See I have read the thread just my brain didn't retain much info I have a 'mummy brain' I use to think it was a pg one but 'mummy brain' is a much better description.

CaptainDippy · 02/11/2007 18:37

Yep. Mad as a Badger. That's me!

fangsandflash · 02/11/2007 18:46

Calzbody - its a mirena - had no probs getting it in - not sure really - hoping it works though!!!

Will go change my name back as have realised no-one is halloweeny anymore!

BTW am selling 15 medium fuzzis in zoo, blue, green and turquoise if anyone interested.

octo · 02/11/2007 18:47

voila!

Pinions · 02/11/2007 19:01

Just so octo doesn't feel lonely .

Right my one and only post for this evening ladies, closing down, shutting down't shop, am outta here, skiddadlin off.

See you all over the weekend, most possibly.

And mine's A VERY LARGE ONE .

Sexonlegs · 02/11/2007 19:16

Oooh a large one fnar fnarr!

Dh only just got home - grrrrr after saying he would be home by 6.00! B and him are off to fireworks whilst I babysit.

Feeling a tad pissed off atm, as am so bored of same old same old. Dh keeps saying I should get out more, but his job/travel is so unreliable that when I do, I can't go cos he is back too late!

Sorry for the moan - just been one of those weeks where I feel dumped on.

How is everyone else??

oooggs · 02/11/2007 19:35

I know what you mean sol same thing night in night out! My days vary but the weeks are the same and so are the nights

dh home early tonight - 10.15pm woo hoo

I am eating a Terrys chocolate orange cosmic toffee crunch - very nice

Sexonlegs · 02/11/2007 20:13

Hi Oooggs, how are the dc's tonight? I really admire how you cope with things, especially with your dh working barmy hours.

I have just stuffed a chinese takeaway. Tbh it was gross! Tasted really fake iykwim.

Where is everyone???

cazboldy · 02/11/2007 20:13

octo iv just got the copper one as I had to avoid anything hormonal. Have had it about 3 months now and so far so good!

cazboldy · 02/11/2007 20:15

my dh works "funny hours" too ooogs. He is a dairy farmer, what does yours do?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/11/2007 20:16

Joe is a very lazy baby, I know he can roll from front to back because I saw him do it when he thought there was no-one watching , but that was the week he turned 3 months and he's never done it since

He has however mastered the art of sitting up very well, and moved himself from the spot I left him in to one about a metre away, Skott was watching and informs me it was acheived by bum-shuffling

Matthew didn't crawl until after he was walking, but then he took his first solo steps just days after he turned 10 months

am desperately hoping that the bum-shuffling means Joe will be a bit slower on the uptake

OP posts:
cazboldy · 02/11/2007 20:20

ds1 bum shuffled and walked 2 weeks after his first birthday.
dd1 walked at 10 months and then crawled!
ds2 commando crawled and walked on his first birthday.
ds3 crawled properly and walked at 11 months.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/11/2007 20:28

arse
you mean I might not have the reprieve I hoped for?
ah well, you're close enough for me to send him round to you once he starts

OP posts:
octo · 02/11/2007 20:36

ds1 walked at nine months and crawled at 10 months
ds2 crawled at nine months and then secretly walked from 13-15 months at which point he came out of the closet and showed off his secret talents - yes - he was a secret walker - we knew he did it but he would never walk in front of us - you would just see him whizz past you out of the corner of your eye - he was a very cunning little chap!

ds3 (ernie) showing signs of wanting to crawl - can shuffle round room on his back and today shuffled backwards on his tummy (((Proud Mummy)))

cazboldy · 02/11/2007 20:42

yes potc I probably wouldn't notice 1 more! thats's what a mum said to me in the playground today when she invited her ds round to mine! but seriously, we could meet up, it would be a shame not to with having little ones so close in age!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/11/2007 20:50

oooggs

Liahgen has set up as a doula, she posted her email address on this thread, it's [email protected]
didn't know if that was the one you had?

OP posts:
PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/11/2007 20:54

definitely caz, are you gonna come to the Suffolk meet-up? I know it's still quite a way from you

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 02/11/2007 20:54

I thought it was Maveta who was looking for that lady?

Blimey, early crawlers united on here.

B didn't really crawl much and only walked at 14 months.

B and dh back from fireworks and B is off the wall!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/11/2007 21:17

oops

maveta, please see above post addressed to oooggs

oooggs, please ignore above post addressed to you

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 02/11/2007 21:21

POTC, you haven't been on for an age. What have you been up to??

Eddas · 02/11/2007 21:22

stop scaring me with the crawling/walking posts

DD walked at 13months but can't remember when she crawled. Wasn't early though and not for long!

DS (not dh) has been rocking ALL day on and off.

Have I said that my bathroom is fully tiled now Looks lurvly. All the rest is being fitted on monday. Currently have a very spacious bathroom, just the bath in it! Was going to be done today but the plumber couldn't make it

PillockOfTheCommunity · 02/11/2007 21:25

I'm always here [mwahhahahaha]
will just be loitering and not posting very much, am around the boards a fair bit though

and will be coming to meet up if it's still on?

OP posts:
Sexonlegs · 02/11/2007 21:29

Too right - well the SE meet up is for sure... isn't it???

Eddas, your bathroom sounds grand - how exciting!

Right, am flipping knackered so off to bed.

See you all in the morning. xxxx

cazboldy · 02/11/2007 21:33

possibly could manage a sunday one, but not an evening. dh's work is difficult, getting a babysitter for 5 dc is hard! and as you said it is quite a way away

elkiedee · 02/11/2007 22:49

LOL at Fangs and Dippy.

D seemed to be quite a happy baby today, first swimming class was just getting used to the water, only one other baby and mum there and she said she can't make it next week so it might just be us. I'm glad to have signed up though, it was such hard work taking him there and back and changing him that I do really need the thing of having signed up for a course to push me into doing it. I had two longish bus journeys each way and got some sort of seat for most of it but buses were full of annoying people who stood on D's buggy even when there were plenty of seats further back. One woman dropped something she had put down on the buggy and then said "Oh, I didn't realise there was a baby there". WTF? How can you not notice a buggy? I gave her a bit of a mouthful.

I'm going to an NCT sale tomorrow, for the first time. My mum has been going to them since last September when her dh's daughter and I were both pg (D's stepcousin is 7 weeks older).
