Sorry. Sending a text at the same time, text speak took over.

Ellie will have me out of here in no time .

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 21:08

Well I hope you get some sleep tonight oooggs and E and J behave them selves or I may have to send L and Z over to sort em out!

Pinions · 01/11/2007 21:16

Hi elkie.

Yes sending sleep vibes also to oooggs. Just kick dp out of bed at 7 with the rest of 'em and then go back to bed yourself, thats what lates are for .

Caz you are far braver than I am. Can't really imagine having any more, but that in itself makes me very . But still 5 and still going. Cor.

Kneehigh, hope you get your selling sorted out.

Ellie, please accept my sincerest apologies for text speak. Wrist slapped.

Off to bed before it's too late for a chance of decent'ish kip. Night all x

leakyR · 01/11/2007 21:16

Feel like I've been punched in the stomach. Just had a phonecall that has knocked the wind out of me.

My gran has now got cancer in her lymph nodes as well as her lungs and bones. I just keep thinking of all the pain she has ahead of her.

Off to parents at weekend, dh away for work so G and I will stay all week. Will be nice for gran to see George.

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 21:18

leaky-so sorry, your poor gran, thinking of you, your poor gran and your family

normabutty · 01/11/2007 21:21

evening folks! bah to all those having night time rtoubles with bubbas - hope they have settled ooggs!

kneehigh - i have a loda of stuff ready to go to our local nct slae on saturday. You label it for the sale and nct takes 30% of the price. they also tend to take an admin fee. i am also working t it - you get a chane to have a look at the bargains as a thank you! i have heard that tehy are great and stuff really sells.

i had a day through in work. i had to lift C at 5.30am for a feed just before I left. it made me to think this is what t will be like when i go back in the new year. dp had a bit of a rough day with her - but if he decides to play it by ear and not give her a feed around the time she is due - what does he expect!
he is slightly in awe tonight though ( as well as knackered!)

Sexonlegs · 01/11/2007 21:23

Oh Leaky, what awful news. I am sorry. I keep meaning to ask you how Eva is doing.

Oogggs, I am so sorry you are having a rough time atm. Calpol Night? Medised?

Hi Cazboldy, good to see you.

Off to bed soon, so see you gorgeous ladies tomorrow. xxxx

weepotion · 01/11/2007 21:23

oh leaky - that must have been hard news to hear. your wider fmaily has had a tough time of late. hope you enjoy some special times with her and george when you go to stay.
how is eva?

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 21:26

I have just had a look at the NCT things near us and there isn't one till april 2008, I have to move before then so i think it will be ebay for my stuff

Pinions · 01/11/2007 21:27

Sorry to hear about your gran Leaky, hope you get to spend some decent quality time together.

Right really off now!! x

liath · 01/11/2007 21:30

Leaky - thinking of you, your poor gran.

WCL, as others said, please don't blame yourself about the toxoplasmosis, it's just really rotten bad luck.

WO - I should think so too - these men have NO IDEA!!! I still think DH totally undervalues my role as a mother - he keeps making pointed remarks about how much I could earn if I worked full time .

Start work tomorrow - boo hiss! DH has the second part of his exam next week then at least we can have some decent time as a family at last - it's been a bit stressful, not least for him trying to revise and do shift work.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 01/11/2007 21:37

aww Leaky, it never rains but it pours

Leaky, very sorry to hear about your gran.

Maveta · 02/11/2007 07:25

hi girls, not even sure if I posted yesterday or not in the end. I know I tried several times posting now quickly before work before I miss my chance.. had a terrible night again with N, I´m just not sure what it is. Went down of his own accord at 7pm, fed at 10.30pm, fed at 11.30pm, I woke up with him again at 1am, rocked him back to sleep, put him down, back to bed, he woke up, back up again. Then dh got up with him at 3am, at 4am I sent dh back to bed and got into the spare bed in Ns room with him, at 6am he woke again so dh took him through and I went back to my own bed. Where I didn´t sleep because N continued to cry until 7am

He´s cut his first tooth but he must be cutting another one. He can´t be hungry, his room is nice and toasty so he can´t be cold. I am really not sure but it is so so hard.

Ok got to go will try and post from work if I can. Quick q. by any chance anyone know a poster called liahgen? That´s the girl that bought my nappy that I couldn´t send, she still hasn´t replied to my email. I was going to just refund her money last night but thought I´d give it one last chance to see if she does actually want it.. Worth a try..

SharpMolarBear · 02/11/2007 07:54

morning everyone
leaky, so sorry to hear about your Gran
Dippy, hope you're OK
oooggs, how was your night in the end?

Sexonlegs · 02/11/2007 08:04

Morning all

Dippy, hope you are ok.

Maveta, what a crap night. Hope you get a better night tonight.

Good to see you SMB - you haven't been on much have you. You ok?

All ok here. K woke at 11.00 - bunged her some medised and that seemed to work.
No idea why she keeps waking - she didn't seem to be crying in pain. Babies are a mystery!

Sat here with B making a hell of a mess with paint pens - they are supposed to be less messy than usual pens ! I had to retype that as I had typed paint pains!!!!

Right, better get on.

Quick q. how many of you are giving your babies breakfast now? K is still on milk at 7.30.

xx

SharpMolarBear · 02/11/2007 08:08

Hi SOL! I've been busy chasing up mortgage people etc, it's not out of the question that we might have moved by Christmas
I only ggive T tea
Too lazy to clean the high chair more than once a day

Eddas · 02/11/2007 08:31

AH crap-a-de-crap

DS is on his knees rocking AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I predict crawling by the end of next week >>>>>>>>

leakyR · 02/11/2007 08:39

Morning all

Hope we all get some more sleep soon.

Thanks for nice messages, feeling ok today but a bit fragile emotionally. Dreading seeing Gran on Monday as it's been 4 weeks and I think I'll see a big difference. It's bringing back a lot of stuff from earlier in the year. My friend died of cancer 5 days before I had G and seeing her suffer and deteriorate was really really hard

Eva is doing well. She's still quivering a bit when she is awake. It doesn't happen when she's sleeping, feeding or being held. It's gradually improving and the hospital aren't concerned. She'll go back to hospital for another EEG and some tests in 2 weeks. MIL has been in London this week and think she's enjoyed spending some quality time with her daughter and grandaughter I'm really pleased as she was very subdued about Eva when we saw her 2 weeks ago, as the first 2 weeks of her life were such a rollercoaster. Just really want her to enjoy Eva as much as she enjoys G.

Blimey bit of an essay!

Off to wash my hair before Gremlin wakes up.

SharpMolarBear · 02/11/2007 08:45

Glad to hear Eva is doing well
T did his first few crawl-steps yesterday
Hasn't done it today though, I think he's forgotten!!

leakyR · 02/11/2007 09:20

Oh noooooooooo! G is also doing the on all-fours rocking thing. Does it really mean crawling is imminent?

elkiedee · 02/11/2007 09:32

Leaky, sorry again to hear about your gran, and you must still be mourning your friend after such a short time. Glad to hear the news re Eva is better. I love the nickname Gremlin.

Maveta, sorry to hear you had such a rough night, I think that our babies must all be going through teething etc. D woke up at 2.45 crying but I know I have it easy compared to you and Leaky and others!

SOL, haven't got to giving D breakfast yet as we hope his highchair's being delivered next week, and he's only 6 months on Sunday. Also I'm lazy and just realising the effort involved compared to just feeding milk. Hsve just started on giving him some bits of banana - Wednesday he didn't seem sure what to do but yesterday he swallowed 3 or 4 slices about a quarter at a time. As he is 6 months and he has 2 teeth, and it's already quite soft, I'm not worrying about mashing just keeping it small. Love the sound of BLW but a bit too scared to go the whole way with it.

Setting off fairly soon to take D swimming - his lesson's not until 1 pm but we've got to get there via 2 buses, and the TFL journey planner confirms my idea of how to get there but says nothing about the problems of buggies etc - I know London is better than other places but there are a lot of us using public transport with our little ones.

I should have asked here before, but when do you feed your babies before taking them swimming? I know there are 3 of you in Scotland who do the same classes.
