leaky! i´m really struggling with nights, how are you doing? cracked a solution? I NEED HELP! i think i saw every hour on the clock last night. except 2am and 4am are vague so it is actually possible i slept from 1-3 and sometime after3 til 5. waaaaah

wriggly baby on lap making bid for freedom WHERE DO THEY GET THE ENERGY?!! gotta go back later x

CaptainDippy · 03/11/2007 07:39

Morning I have an itchy ear.

Older 2 are asleep , P is lying on our bed alternately eating a Rubix Cube and a Goat Skittle Reasonable night, I guess, still knackered though.

What are people up to today? I am having a day of Autumn Fayres Church across the road this am, NCT early pm and Pre-School late pm - got my 20p's ready!

liath · 03/11/2007 07:43

Morning!

Have fun at the NCT sales Elkie & WO. Hope you pick up some bargains and don't get flattened in the rugby scrum . Funnily our most violent sales are the ones in the posh bit of Edinburgh .

Dippy - you loon. But I am jealous I admit. If I'd started having kids when I wanted (ie as soon as I got married at 26) I'd have had a brood by now I'm sure.

Don't know what to advise with these non-sleepers - I'm sorely tempted to move ds downstairs for a few nights because at the moment I tend to get up and feed him just to stop him waking dd. He was up at 4.30 this morning, managed to get him back over eventually but didn't really get back to sleep myself.

What's everyone up to this weekend?

SharpMolarBear · 03/11/2007 07:55

Morning
Well it's taken me 24 hours to express about 3oz
Time to give up I think
(I don't mean 24 hours permanently attached )

liath · 03/11/2007 08:07

Am trying to banish the mental image of a large polar bear wandering around with a breast pump attached.....

tcmummy · 03/11/2007 08:08

MORNING!

How are all you lovlies? Hope people are fairing ok. T has a bad cold and is streaming, keeping us up all night and struggling to feed. We're knackered!

Currently we're in the North East visiting mates. SMB&GMM - sorry never got chance to arrange a meet up. Thought of you as we drove past Durham! In the end our friends took more time off work, so we've been with them the whole while

going to have a bit of a catch up while everyone (except me!!!) is sleeping...

tcmummy · 03/11/2007 08:11

morning dippy, liath&SMB

Maveta - hope you managed to get back to sleep for an hour or 2 after your crap night and early start

Idreamofchocolate · 03/11/2007 08:15

Sorry for all those having crapola nights. Still full of cold and feeling shite here, bunged up, hot, headache blah blah. In bed still but gotta get up as seeing 2 houses this am. Not really v hopeful about these ones really - both over-priced, and one we've been bullied into seeing by the estate agent as it's close to the first one. Am going to wreck revenge by taking the dcs and letting Em run around all over the place [evil].

SOL - yes I spend half my life looking at Rightmove. And Primelocation. It's got to the point where I still see houses when I shut my eyes.

tcmummy · 03/11/2007 08:37

Morning idoc ! I think i scared everyone away! Just been catching up about your house move& the trouble you get there from kids. Grrr.... I remember when you were preg and they threw some stones at the house. I think your dh was out and E upstairs asleep. (???I think I've got that right ????). Anyway, it sounded scary. Hope there's some light at the end of the rightmove tunnel sometime soon

tcmummy · 03/11/2007 08:48

Right, seeing as the first time I've been on in aaaaaages you've all decided to go back to bed and enjoy saturday moring, I'm going to cave in and go shopping

Since we live in the middle of nowhere at home, i've been trying to get all my list sorted (party planning, birthdays and christmas ) while I can get somewhere half decent! The car is groaning, but....

I daren't even confess to you that at ikea yesterday we bought 80 plates, 80 soup bowls and 80 pudding bowls for T's thanksgiving meal !!! And I mean crockery not paper! The church we're holding it in doesn't have enough and they were 19p each, so about £45 for them all. Not sure what on earth we'll do with them afterwards

Ok, need a shower before I go anywhere

PillockOfTheCommunity · 03/11/2007 09:05

that is a rather random shopping trip tc

Hello. Havent been around much lately (and wont for a little while either probably) because F has a chest infection and is quite poorly, bless her. She is on antibiotics so hopefully she will start to improve soon. She is chugging away like an old man and sounds absolutely awful. She is refusing most food and I am struggling to get her to drink either so I am stressed. Anyway, must dash, hope all are well. Hope to be back in the near future! Take care all xxxx

Sexonlegs · 03/11/2007 14:56

So quiet on here today.

IDOC, how did the house viewings go?
Hope you are cold free soon.

Hi tcmummy - wow what a lot of crockery! Hope the thanksgiving goes well.

Mammyjo, really sorry to hear poor F has a chest infection. Hopefully the ab's will kick in and she will be back to herself.

Hi to everyone else.

All ok here. Had a good night, and have been productive today with opticians and haircut. Think we are taking the girls swimming in a bit - I don't fancy it though.

Right, need to run.

cazboldy · 03/11/2007 15:01

mammyjo hope your little one is feeling better soon!
well so far have done downstairs housework, clipped one very hairy shetland pony, mucked out while dd1 went for a ride with some friends, cooked lunch, done 3 loads of washing, had a friend round for coffee now I am having a well earned rest (well for half an hour anyway) as the 2 littlest ones are asleep, the eldest is playing outside with a friend and dd1 and ds2 are colouring very nicely together!

Pinions · 03/11/2007 15:23

SOL If you don't mind me asking, with the Maclaren Techno do you miss not having a raincover or can you just make do with the pull down hood instead?

Doesn't appear to come with one, that's all?

oooggs · 03/11/2007 16:37

caz - my dh works shifts so this week has worked 3pm - midnight and next week 7.30am - 4pm (not including travelling time)

ellie - would have loved a doula

mammyjo - hope F is better soon x

THANK YOU GIRLS - especially KHIN

when one of dts 'starts' I rush in and ship them out so they don't wake the other one. Dohhhh

well last night I thought sod it. If they are both awake and I can't settle them on my own I will chuck them in the pushchair and walk around the house!!!!!!

So at 8pm - Erin started, I went in checked she was ok, shusssh her then walk out and shut the door, she continued to chatter then went back to sleep, I went to bed at 10pm and didn't hear anything from them til 1pm. Fed Jack then Erin woke at 1.30am so fed her. Out of bed and hour then all three woke about 6.30am. Best night for ages.

AND it was you lot who gave me the courage to do it. xx

Pinions · 03/11/2007 17:08

I don't know how you do it tbh oooggs, keep going!

And sol have obviously got numpti-itus cos I see it does actually come with a raincover durr.

Well have currently got 4 different lots of tea/dinner on the go, does anyone else get sick and tired of having to cook so many different types of meal at a time, drives me nuts. Talk about having to juggle.

oooggs · 03/11/2007 17:27

dh is at work again and ds1 and I have just had toast & jam had proper food at lunchtime with daddy

Sexonlegs · 03/11/2007 18:07

Pmsl at numptyitis! I was going to suggest looking on ebay, as I was bidding on one there, and then realised - also like a numpty, that we had one!

Oooggs, sounds like a much better night. Hope you get an even better one tonight.

Blimey Caz, where do you get the time and energy to do everything you do??

I avoided swimming . Dh took them both in and I watched. We bought one of those rings for Katie to sit in, and she loved it. She was kicking her feet in the water like a nutter!

Hope you have all had a good day. See you later no doubt, unless you are all going out on the razz??

Idreamofchocolate · 03/11/2007 19:11

Going out on the razz SOL? Chance would be a fine thing

DH has taken Em to a firework display, I have bathed S and put her to bed, so am quickly catching up before I cook supper, then an early night I think. We're going to have family photos done tomorrow, so I need to be vaguely refreshed. Lots of Touche Eclat methinks.

Well viewed one house today - didn't bother with the 2nd one in the end, not worth it. Lovely old homely-feeling house with oodles of potential, but it just needed shed-loads doing to it (ie. totally gutting really, new kitchen, bathrooms, windows, wiring, boiler....you get the picture). We are very tempted to make a silly offer and see if we get turned down flat, but we'd need to spend anywhere between £60k - £100k to get the house in a condition that we'd want to live in. And that would mean getting various contractors in and us living with the ILs for a couple of months whilst the work was done. Not sure if we loved the place enough to do that. But it had so many plus points. Sigh.

Have a good evening all, might catch some of you later x

Sexonlegs · 03/11/2007 19:17

IDOC, sorry the house wasn't the house of your dreams. I guess this time of year is a bit slow re house moving as people are now focused on Christmas!

Really hope you get something sorted. I don't think I could live with my in-laws. We lived with my parents for 9 weeks last year when we had an extension, and tbh that was quite good fun.

I would love to go out on the razz.

I am away next Saturday night in Guildford with 2 of my girly cousins. I cannot wait!

Idreamofchocolate · 03/11/2007 19:19

Ohhh I live 10mins from Guildford! Where are you going (I'm not going to stalk you, honest)?

Sexonlegs · 03/11/2007 19:24

We are going to The Manor House hotel as they do treatments. I am having a back massage and a manicure. I assume then we are going to eat dinner there, but not 100% sure. I am so looking forward to it.

Pinions · 03/11/2007 19:30

To hell with that SOL get your glad rags on and get dancing around your handbag with IDOC!
