pinions - have to shift this baby stuff that I am never going to use again have tried the local paper so ebay a last resort

cazboldy · 01/11/2007 20:34

hi all. it's been ages since i looked on this thread....just to make a change! hope you are all well, my life keeps passing by in a flash!

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 20:36

Ah so is everyone trying to shift baby stuff then, God I'm gonna have NO CHANCE, I am seriously thinking of doing a car boot sale but it is getting too cold and I am far to lazy to do that, haven't even made it to the post office to get all my stuff wighed

Leaky-Dh off talking mortages I must have missed something, does this mean you have found a house?
Will you finally get your garden?

Pinions · 01/11/2007 20:37

Can't bear to part with the small stuff tbh, though there's not much point of it sitting in the loft.

oooggs · 01/11/2007 20:38

also kneehigh we have twice as much stuff to sell

Sexonlegs · 01/11/2007 20:39

Hi loves

CD, what about setting youself up as an ironing lady then? They charge about 8 quid an hour here.

Leaky/Nutty, glad you had a good day today.

Oooggs, hope you get a better night tonight - sounds hellish.

Pinions, pmsl at pulsating pumpkins! What a thought!

Runny, great news re your boss/job!!

Hope everyone else is ok and has had a good day.

All ok here, although K woke at 4.00 this a.m. Not really sure what was up with her. Gave her some Nurofen which didn't seem to work, so ended up giving her a bottle. She wasn't that fussed about that either tbh, but she did go back to sleep reasonably quickly. I am knackered tho. I don't know how you cope with wakeful babies.

I was supposed to be going to a market research session tonight, for which I would have got 25 pounds for, but bloody dh got stuck in traffic on the way home so I couldn't go - grrrrrrr.

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 20:40

I wish some of my pg friends would bloody buy some of it off me, I don't want togive it away but i would do them a fair price cheaper than i would do on ebay, but can they spot a bargain?
NOT bloody LIKELY

Pinions · 01/11/2007 20:41

Knehigh, I think you can sell at the NCT nearly new sales, you have to register with them and apparently there are hordes waiting to get in to most of them? Must be easier when you have a lot of stuff to sell, rather than listing on ebay?

Nice to see you Cazboldy, how you manage with 5 I just can't imagine, most of us on here whinge with two. And I think I read somewhere that you might still have more.

.

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 20:43

Pinions- NCT no I haven't thought of that mainly cause I am a bit dull and am not quite sure what it is
Tell me more!

cazboldy · 01/11/2007 20:47

Pinions, no probably not.....though doesn't mean I wouldn't like to! Well at some point......I am 26 so could have another brood in about 10 years!
I have actually given my baby boy clothes to my sil and my baby girl clothes to a friend. I gave my friend the crib the other day (only to borrow) and it made me cry!
I know I'm daft!

oooggs · 01/11/2007 20:47

bollocks - Erin has started already oh sol it's not fair

Pinions · 01/11/2007 20:48

OK nearly new = has to be in good ish condition. NCT = National Childbirth Trust.

Tbh I thought that as per the - whatever the word is but NCT - being a trust and all that, that the proceeds all go to charity. But apparently you can register with them to sell your own gear.

Dippy would be the best person to ask I think. If you google NCT you will get the contact email of someone in your area. x

cazboldy · 01/11/2007 20:49

I know this sounds really mad but when you say 5 children out loud I think oh my god that is a lot, but i guess i just don't have time to stop and think about it! grin!

Pinions · 01/11/2007 20:50

Caz - Nooo don't give away your crib!!

Don't you get stressed out ? Silly question, but you seem so relaxed about it all.

oooggs · 01/11/2007 20:55

caz - how do you do it?????? I am struggling with 3

Pinions · 01/11/2007 20:58

I struggle with 2. But sometimes feels like 3 tbh.

kneehighinnappies · 01/11/2007 21:00

Oh oooggs you sound so down

Pinions · 01/11/2007 21:02

And did someone mention Gordon Ramsay .

oooggs · 01/11/2007 21:02

just tired - thankfully I had just had a sandwich and was thinking of going to bed and now I am holding Erin who is asleep, but when I go to put her down she screams - I am also typing in the dark

Pinions · 01/11/2007 21:03

R u ok oooggs??

Pinions · 01/11/2007 21:03

x post

cazboldy · 01/11/2007 21:06

yes ooogs but twins!!!
I guess I an quite a laid back person, but I do get a bit ratty with ds1 who has just turned 11 sometimes.
We do seem to clash. My dh says we are too similar. I hate arguing with him he has gone to bed angry tonight

elkiedee · 01/11/2007 21:06

Hi everyone, I didn't get on the computer for a while today, because just before my mum came and soon after she left, D had longish naps - the first time I felt I should take the chance to get things done, the second time I got to sit and read for a while, finish one novel that I've been reading for ever and start another, and then have a little nap myself! Very surprising.

PMSL at thread title.

I remember the days when Martin Shaw was quite the heart throb among teenage magazine readers though I couldn't see it then, I think he's quite attractive as JJD too.

Glad to hear you've sorted some things out Runny, hope returning to work goes well.

Sorry to everyone else, I can't retain the memory of the messages over the end of the last thread and start of this one.

oooggs · 01/11/2007 21:07

f*&K BOLLOCKS - NOW jACK IS STARTING

cazboldy · 01/11/2007 21:07
