Ew the horrible child is now punishing me for neglect by digging up the woodchip

Bathtime in a minute methinks!

Just emailed you Flame, while the boy is washing up again! And the other boy is telllnig his friend that its his house so he can do what he likes

Thanks csws; it was fab to see you (er, and clear DL's room of girl stuff!). Nice to have a natter and ds1 adored seeing Pippa ('Was she really sleeping in my bed with tuffley?'!!)

FlameBat · 18/10/2007 18:33

Tuffley?

He's a big eyed tiger. Obviously.

2boysmacca · 18/10/2007 19:05

Hi guys. Hi EPPP

mrm hope you're feeling a bit better about ds2. I agree with Jas, you don't really need friends like that! For the record, ds couldn't propel forwards for a long time, and a lot of the things you mention but his speech was fantastic. Ds2 swings(hangs from things and lifts his legs), propels forwards and backwards on wheelies but his speech is poor. He has lots of words but they aren't that clear. I could hold a conversation with ds at this age, much like csws dd.

I think I'm gonna have to step up my training. I fear my fellow PT colleagues are far fitter than me . However it's nice to go to the gym and put the theory into practice. Oh mrm have you signed up for the Flora London 10k on May bank holiday?

Just bought the boys a beautiful book. It's Puff the Magic Dragon, comes with a musical CD. It's just basically the song but the animation is beautiful. We then went upstairs and listened the cd and ds2 has settled quicker than he has for a long time. However I did have to fasten him in his bed because he wanted to get up and dance. he is such a groover!

FlameBat · 18/10/2007 19:32

Ooh where did you get it? It has always been my two's settling song

MRM all toodlers are starange.. its part of being human. have to remind myself that teh reason boys obsessions seem autistic is becasue autistic obsessions are sometimes toodler style . boy's are curently doors and catches- open or shut I never kmnow which but he DOES and boy can I get it wrong. he was crying tonight when I hdn;t put teh lock strap back on the frezer! And wiping up after himself, cute in a 1 yr old, odd in a 10 yr old. IYSWIM.
Guess our little people havn;t quite learnt to be human yet.
I heard a nice little tale about babies being from teh milky way ( to go with men = mars etc) the other day. CAn;t find it on line tho any one else come across it.

mustrunmore · 18/10/2007 20:20

Ds1 was strange in a cute quirky way. Ds2 is just really not on my planet.

macca; no, didnt even know of it Link please. I was thinknig of doing the battersea thing in June. But a)nowherw mentios if the under 9's run will be on at the same time as the adults(would love ds1 to have a go, but I want to be supporting him!) and b)not sure what shift dh is on, for babysitting purposes.I need to get next year's calendar and tediuously mark all his shifts down now.
TBH, I need a focus. The running has seriously lapsed, due to lack of husband and big lack of sleep(other than with ds2 across me koala style) And partly due to spending more time on the pc trying to sell stuff to make a bit of money! We're going through a lull in finances, shall we say. Had £15 left the day before payday last month I'm going to have to do some crappy church hall keep fit too you know, just so i'm doing something. Have found a victim/partner to do it with me; I can do every other week due to dh shifts, which is better than nothing I suppose.

Jas · 18/10/2007 20:22

That sounds a very logical explanation Sarah DS obsessively does up straps (high chair, buggies etc) too

Parents evening tonight. DD2s teacher is in his first ever job. Very scared looking He has no parent helpers this year (I always went in before ds) and I felt so sorry fo him, I'm going to ty and find child care for ds on a Friday so I can go in. If he has no parent helper they don't get much craft stuff done and at Christmas they usually try and do lots.
DD1s teacher is going to do me a copy of the times table cd they use at school

Jas · 18/10/2007 20:24

I've found a yoga class to start on a Monday Remind me please next week, as I said I'd go with my friend and I won't see her.

See, I do exercise too, honestly.

mustrunmore · 18/10/2007 20:30

I'll have him on Fridays; that'd make sense wouldnt it? Take girls to school, drive all way over here to drop him, go back to school, come back to get him, go back home .

Yoga is lovely. Hard to not just sleep at the end; its the olny time I got to lie down without a child in the vicinity!!!

2boysmacca · 18/10/2007 20:32

Jas

mrm

2boysmacca · 18/10/2007 20:36

Did I ever tell you about my yoga class, when ther were only 3 of us in the class and one of them was a man (teacher)..... and I broke wind.....only it just lasted and lasted and it was sooo obvious it wasn't a botty burp What does a woman say int hose circumstances, well this one said 'oops pardon me'! My teacher, after picking himself up off the floor from laughter said not to be embarassed, it was very normal for women!!! Believe me, I never did that position again and it took all my strength to go back the next week!

Jas · 18/10/2007 20:36

mrm

Thanks macca, took me a while to work out that link though as it was for Flame, not me.

Jas · 18/10/2007 20:38

I think I'd have remembered if you'd told us that before maccalol
Were you upside down by any chance?

UniSarah · 18/10/2007 20:38

sorry should have been all part of becoming human.
The ASD stuff is cause i am interested, used to work in an SN school and I suspect an ammount of un dx ASD in the family.

FlameBat · 18/10/2007 20:38

Thanks

OP posts:
FlameBat · 18/10/2007 20:39

The ASD stuff is interesting to me (I think DD has AS), and it is also why I was sod all use with whether or not MRM DS2 is normal

OP posts:
FlameBat · 18/10/2007 20:40

Not that it isn;t interesting to the others

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 18/10/2007 20:43

Thanks for the link macca;why couldnt I find it myself?? Dh is going to sit and work out his shift pattern day by day until next May

I am soooo cold, sitting here with 2 wheatpillows and still freezing.

Jas · 18/10/2007 20:44

Isn't it interesting to everyone who is interested in people?

mustrunmore · 18/10/2007 20:45

I'm interested in some tings, but mainly just nosey.

FlameBat · 18/10/2007 20:45

Some people aren't interested in people though. They float through life in this weird impenetrable bubble of disinterestment See a lot of foster placements like it - it is always sad when I think of how much they are missing out on.

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/10/2007 21:05

Sorry, I was looking for my post-natal club, but I seem to have stumbled on a philosophy class by mistake.....

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/10/2007 21:17

Macca - I loved (and inwardly cried at) Puff as a child. When they say 'two vibrant new interpretations of the song', will they annoy me because they are not like the original (bearing in mind that I'm quite anal about these things)?

mrm - was lovely (as always) to see you too. We forgot to talk about plans for next week though - are we still on for doing something on Wedns? I spoke to MrCSWS about Christmas, and he is up for it if MrMRM is.

Jas - thank you so much for all the stuff for dd. The cot is divine! mrm pointed out that dd could have worn the white fairy dress for her Christening, and said that you were very mean for not suggesting it at the time . Now, are you going to name a price for it (am conscious that you had been planning to send it to NCT sale), or will I have to force gifts on you instead?!

pmsl at macca's yoga story. Definitely not told us that before .

EPPM - you have to tell us your previous name then (since you say you aren't actually hiding), because we are insanely nosy, and will all be wondering if we have seen you before!

Birmingham isn't so far away you know EPPM. I used to work there, and my parents are still in Worcs, which isn't that far away. And I loved the Sea Life Centre when we went there over the summer, so plan to come again soon and bring dh too, as he missed it last time.
