ChasingSquirrels · 08/11/2007 23:09

JoFan · 08/11/2007 23:12

would anyone like to borrow my walking stick? and i have a handy little gadget to help get tights on...?

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 23:12

Friz- love your dd's name too- I had that as backup though spelled the irish way

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 23:12

Ohhh if only I had those looks, sigh....
My mother once thought I was on the front of the Daily Mail, then she unfolded it and saw the rest of the face was Sarah Ferguson those who have met me, pleasssseeee tell me I don't look like Fergie.......
EPPM really

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 23:13

Ah we thought about that, then decided it was a bugger to spell for dd2! and besides, the way it is, it's latin for snowy and it snowed when she was born (all together now, ahhhhhh)

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 23:14

BTW Hi CS How's things?

JoFan · 08/11/2007 23:14

if only, frizbe. and the norks

not to put too fine a point on it

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 23:17

Well- even having gone for a name with a more straight forward spelling, we still get a lot of 'urr, is that a boys name?' yes- of course it is, I want to traumatise my dd from birth

Phoenix · 08/11/2007 23:17

I'm 26 (27 on Dec 27th) My dh is 38.

I like Astrid too but don't think it would go with my stupid-nothing-goes-with-it surname

Phoenix · 08/11/2007 23:19

God no friz you don't look anthing like fergie.

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 23:19

well jofan- the only only thing I have angelinaish is the norks! well, and the beeyutiful dd of course

JoFan · 08/11/2007 23:20

Is flame one of the MN nappy ladies?

am committed washable user myself.

Phoenix · 08/11/2007 23:21

We get lots of people spelling ds' name Louis instead of Lewis. I think Louis is said Louie isn't it anyway?

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 23:22

the surname.... well, yes, they can be a bummer to fit in with- and (working for the LEA, with 200,000 children) people so often do get it wrong...

Shane Kane, Peter Peterkin, etc anyone?
Oh yeah, Connor O'Conner (though that was a name change after remarriage...)

Phoenix · 08/11/2007 23:23

Yes JoFan Flame runs bumfluff, theres a link further down

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 23:24

ah oui louie
now pondering what phoenixs surname is, will check on facebook sometime!
Yes Flame is our resident nappy seller well done on the washables Jofan, we're not very green on that front up here dh said no to them this time around, when I wanted some, although he did say the exact opposite in person to Flame

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 23:24

I would pronounce Louis as 'Lewie' but then my mum once taught a child named "Gooey"....
turns out his mum didn't know how to pronounce Guy

He was most confused the first day she called out the register (this was reception class)

EachPeachPearMum · 08/11/2007 23:29

Right- am off to bed, as no doubt I shall be rudely awoken around 3...
Night all.
New thread tomorrow! YAY this one is a little unwieldy...

Frizbe · 08/11/2007 23:30

PMSL , ok I really must go to bed now girls, night night, catch ya'all tomorrow.

Oh btw CSWS well done one the gym, I've been so bad this last two weeks, managed once last week and once to aquaaerobics, so far this week done aqua once and may manage it tomorrow night

Phoenix · 08/11/2007 23:33

I call him Lew or Lewie all the time anyway.

Yes Friz my surname is on Facebook and my email addy if you have that.

I did washables for a while when Lew was about 10-11mth old but switched back to disposables mainly because dh and my mum (who looks after him while we're at work) hated using them so i gave up on them too

Phoenix · 08/11/2007 23:34

Oh you've all gone to bed while i was typing. Night then

Jas · 09/11/2007 07:32

Hand in the air from Jas as the oldest on the thread (38) I know NAO is a bit older than me, but we don't see her here now, so I really can't count her!

Hello JoFan

Nice to see you too CS

No you don't look like Fergie Frizbe
I kow excatly what you mean about the giving in of notice Fizbe. At least you ave the shop to take over though....dp is still jobless, although there may be more work at his old plae in a couple of weeks. I have him working hard outside for now though, and he finally got paid for his last three weeks so I'm not too worried yet.

I'm feeling even older now I've looked at your music list. I really should try listening to something that isn't radio 4 occasionally.

I have a friend with a Louie (I always want to spell it Louis), and another with a Lewis, and my friend who has a dd wanted Leo. I don't know any other Leons though (unless you count the elderly taxi driver over the road who goes by Lee but is a Leon really).

I'm off to toddler group, then helping at school this afternoon. I'll go and drag dp out of bed adset him to work before I leave.
