2H your poor cousin. 30

Don't like rugby myself. Although I have noticed that the better England are, the more it is appearing on our tv. Don't know the difference between league and union despite being a northerer.

UD hope the cold isn't too bad. So much going round atm.

Did anyone watch the tv prog last night? Was slightly reluctant to talk about it in case it was a really bad programme, cos what was shown is a chunk of what my job is . Pleased to report they filmed one of our meetings but it wasn't shown, so I wasn't on the telly!

eandh · 15/10/2007 19:15

oooo what do you do then rgee I watched it till about 10pm then fell asleep

theUrbanDevil · 15/10/2007 20:07

RGee - as soon as you said about the regional mathematics thingie i wondered if you were gonna be on the telly!

we went to have a look at Chesham today, which is where we might be moving to. seems very nice, good infants school and boy's grammar school (although whether we'll be there that long is a different matter) there's a tube station which is on the Jubilee line, so direct route into London (so i can come and see you Shimmer!! yay! Shimmer looks like this: ) but also some lovely woodland nearby for lovely walks with toddler Zacky. all in all, i'm feeling quite positive, although i did get talked into eating a McDonalds today (bleargh) and feel really crappy now.

gobletofblood · 15/10/2007 21:22

ooh exciting about chesham ud

rgee I missed your prog - sorry

hattie2 · 15/10/2007 21:57

thanks for the advice EaH about getting someone to do the pressies for me, why didn't I think of that?!

2H - fingers crossed for your cousin

I haven't got clue where Chesham is UD (even though I live in W London my geography of the rest of it is appalling!), but it sounds very nice

Rgee, I didn't watch your prog but most of my work colleagues did as it was the main subject of discussion at breakfast today. Can I tell them I 'know' someone who was on it? They'll be dead impressed

wilkie, am v jealous of your Sawyer dream ... must start watching my Lost boxset in attempt to have one of those myself!

WeeWitchyWilkie · 16/10/2007 08:09

Ok so the bug was contagious. DH and I spent the entire night throwing up. Feel like shit. Off back to bed.

And to top it all off I lost fuck all at WW (hmmm, maybe I should go now after the pukefest - bet that shifted a few lbs!.....every cloud eh?)

Lizzzombie · 16/10/2007 09:23

Oh Wilks you poor thing!
Hope you are better soon.

Any idea where he could have picked up something like that from?

Eah - re your idea about building soc jobs...there is a perfect one advertised for at the moment. 2 days a week and every other saturday. BUT I need it for Feb and not for now.....grr!

Lizzzombie · 16/10/2007 09:25

Btw - UD. Macdonalds only make you feel crappy coz you don't eat enough of them..!
mmmm Macdonalds breakfast!

(f*cking MSN messenger still not working. I feel like a leper in my own little colony!)

becks5109 · 16/10/2007 10:23

UD i used to live in Amersham just up the road from Chesham - lots of nice countryside out that way. On the met line though not jubilee! Also they have grammar schools there so if you can get them through the 11+ the schools are fantastic. Quite an expensive area for housing but lots of positives.

theUrbanDevil · 16/10/2007 10:31

becks - good to see you back again!! we were looking at rentals and although it is more expensive than where we are at the moment but we were looking at a 2 bedroomed cottage which looked lovely and was £750pcm. sadly it's gone under offer, but there are other options which are looking likely.

WeeWitchyWilkie · 16/10/2007 11:16

Not sure Liz. It was either the chinese we ate (cos I was depressed after WW) or it was the bug. Strange though cos DH was FINE until we ate the chinese.

I have reported it to environmental health just in case. We both felt better once we had 'cleared out' so to speak.

J picked his bug up from the DTs I think.

UD - I am no help as don't know that area but how exciting for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

eandh · 16/10/2007 14:41

Lizz def worth writing to local banks/b.socs and stating what days you can do and when you are available to start as we keep all cv's on file and often go back through them when a vacancy arises.

Wilkie - seems strange I'd be inclined to think it was the chinese what do you have anything with chicken or prawns?

Becks - hi nice to see you again

UD - I went to grammar school (I went on teh old system of exam/school recommendation at 13) and loved it (was very sceptical about going as was single sex ) so if you are in the area and z gets the chance its a great experience

laughalot · 16/10/2007 14:59
