Dragonhart · 13/10/2007 20:46

Wilkie- my brother has not played at Chester or heard of the course. Sorry not to be able to help.

2happy- I was going to make a cake but went to see dsis thisafternoon and now sitting eating chocs watching the Rugby. Cant be bothered to drag my arse off the sofa so will prob do it tommorrow. I did have a bday cake made for me by my nan, which was a choc cake like a blackforest gataux (sp?). It even had chocs on the top and was lovely. Guess what I did with it. Go on. Guess. Left it on the cooker while it was on yesterday and when I realised and looked it was just a smooshy goo.

Lizzzombie · 13/10/2007 21:31

rgee - booze on the train?! are you a chav? do you shop in primark? was it special brew?!

didnt come home to a bottle of red, came home to a tipsy DP and mate watching "come dancing & rugby"

just had some lush sea bass and sauv blanc
and cheese...mmmm...smoked apple wood cheddar my fave! can't face the red wine...they are on it, but I'm the one who will be getting up to settle LO at 2.30am when they are recounting uni stories. whatever!

bunnyhunny · 13/10/2007 21:57

Well, I just watched rugby for the first time, and it is the most mad game I have ever seen. And it's legal?! And I have never seen such a bunch of ugly men together in one place!

2happy - great thread title!

Lizz - where are you working? I am sure it will get better, just give it a couple more days. First days are ALWAYS horrible.

EAH - I cannot do french plaits for the life of me. Just don't understand them! What's a fish tail?

S has been really ill. I got a call from mum on Firday (I was working) and he was burning up and vomiting. But the doctors were all out on call, so we had to take him to the hospital to be checked out!!! He had a raging fever, and it wasn't coming down with calpol / ibuprofen. They were threatening to keep him in overnight at one point. So last night was a nightmare - he was in bed with me, tossing and turning and whinging all night. Bless him. Then dh says to just put him in his cot to sleep. WHAT?!?! Can't you see he is ILL?!?!? Sometimes I wonder if he is on the same planet as me.

Today he has perked up and his fever has subsided, but is now crying as he wants
to come down stairs with us. He quietens down , then if he hears us he starts up again. It is going to be a looonnnggg night...

hattie2 · 13/10/2007 22:58

Sorry to hear about S bunnyhunny, sounds scary - fingers crossed he is over the worst and you get a good night.

Rgee, just looked up tomorrow night's TV -errrm, enjoy it won't you?!! Don't think I'll be joining you!

Lizz, sorry to hear about your first day. Really hope it's just the first day the was bad and it improves from now on. I love shopping at Primark and I'm not horrid (honest!). Shame you don't get discount, I do where I work (M&S) and we have a sale at the moment as well so am off shopping tomorrow.

Hope you had a good evening EaH and you managed to not worry about what the girls were doing at PILs.

Have decided I love rugby - gaven't got a clue what's going on but tonight was v exciting and looking forward to next week!

laughalot · 14/10/2007 08:22

Rugby is fab watched it last night for the first time I was rather scared by the french player with the long hair that looked like jesus.

2HappyFrighteningPeople · 14/10/2007 08:26

BH - poor S, hope he starts to perk up soon. Hope you got some sleep last night. But I don't know how you can wonder if dh is on the same planet as you - when were men ever on the same planet??

Hattie - mmm, staff discount at M&S - worth it for the mini-flapjack bites alone!

Lizz - hope your dp slept on the couch last night!

DH - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Oh that is a proper tragedy! (Actually, I suspect I might have scooped the goo up and eaten it anyway; bet it'd taste nice drizzled over ice-cream!!)

RGee - [intrigued] must look up what it is...

Shit. My mum just phoned. My cousin's had a brain haemorrhage.

OP posts:
bunnyhunny · 14/10/2007 10:32

2happy - shit! love to your family.

Are we all rugby fans now then? Does anyone know what is going on? I love the way they all bundle each other, even if they don't have the ball...

S is better this morning - coo, eating and keeping it down, and playing. It was a long night though - every peep he made, I rushed in and checked him! Phew! It WAS scary, you don't realise how much mums must worry until something is up with your lo.
Mind you, he is still making the cry he was yesterday and looking at me, trying it on! Little monkey!

DH / 2happy - I would have scooped it up and eaten it too!

What is on telly tonight?

Lost isn't back already is it?!

bunnyhunny · 14/10/2007 10:34

rereading my message make it look like I swept your comment under the carpet 2happy. I really hope everything is better for your cousin than it sounds. Keep us posted, and

eandh · 14/10/2007 13:46

2happy/bh/anyone with lurgy = hope you feel better soon and glad s is on the mend

WeeWitchyWilkie · 14/10/2007 16:57

2Happy - how awful. How is s/he?

Bunny - Yey another LOST fan. Am just working my way through the Series 3 boxset ATM. Just finished the episode where Charlie as drowned. I can't see where it is gonna go from here as they are getting rescued so am desperate to watch more tonight! Sorry to hear about S - hope he is feeling better.

J is loads better, still not eating but no more chundering thank god.

Not much to report. I am a very dull person

WeeWitchyWilkie · 14/10/2007 17:03

EAH - purhlease can you send me some websites (mwah mwah mwah snog snog)

eandh · 14/10/2007 17:36

wilkie have emailed you lots of links to cheap present ideas!!

I have got my christmas saving club money this weekend (£600 wooo hooo!) so Hattie and I have been shopping and I have one almost 90% of my shopping only got parents/pil to get (we are getting digital photo frame for each but need money from my brother/sil to go halves on them) dh's nan (94years old and lives with pil any ideas?) and my 2 secret santas (work and mn) plus some garden centre vouchers for couple of old relatives.

Also got to get dh present from me and the girls but we are just doing token gifts this year (and I think I'll probably wrap some of the bits I got today during the week as its done and can go in the loft)

Just nealry wet myself as ellie has been pushing hattie around in her dolls pram hattie found it hysterical and was giggling/chuckling took soem pics so when I load them on laptop will post them

eandh · 14/10/2007 18:51

new pics on my profile - including ellie thinking hattie is her real life dolly!!

bunnyhunny · 14/10/2007 19:49

Wilkie - Charlie drowns?! Only kidding - I did know really . Are you doing a rewatch, or is this the 1st time you have seen series 3 (don't want to spoil anything, but finding it VERY HARD to keep mouth shut!!!)

hattie2 · 14/10/2007 20:21

Please ... no more Lost talk!! Saw up to about episode 8 of season 3 before they took Sky One off Virgin media. Have boxset but not got round to watching any of it yet.

EaH, I can't beleive you have wrapped Xmas presents already. Thought I was organised having bought one or two bits. We're going away for xmas this year, have just about managed to explain to dd that Santa will not be able to deliver all her presents to Dubai as we won't have room in our luggage to bring them back. But she is now expecting to walk through the door on 30th December to find a stack of pressies under the tree ... not sure how I'm going to arrange that?!

Dragonhart · 14/10/2007 20:22

Ratbunny- Glad S is getting better. High temps can be so scary. I only watch Rugby with my DH as he played for years and knows all the rules inside out. When I am watching it

2Happy- It had cream on it and was all curdled. I did try some but it was horrible Hope your cousin is ok. xxx

EAH- Glad you had a good night. Pic is very cute. Luke has decided it is hilarious to push Ruth over when she is sitting down. Not quite as n ice as putting her in a pram!

WILKIE! I have not watched series 3 yet! Missed loads of them so decided to rent the box set but have not got round to it yet. No more secrets!!! You too ratbunny!

Has anyone got a 7 seater car? Is is any good. We are looking at them but really want one with three full seats in the middle rather than a bench seat (so Zafira out). Any tips? Has anyone done research so I dont have to

Dragonhart · 14/10/2007 20:27

Sorry ratbunny- that ment to read:

I only watch Rugby with my DH as he played for years and knows all the rules inside out. When I am watching it with him, he spends his time saying things like 'he is on the wrong side of the ball there!' or ''got to release!' or some such nonsense and the commentator usually says it afew seconds later. I have no clue on my own!

Deleted it by mistake!

eandh · 14/10/2007 20:30

omeN666 · 14/10/2007 20:32
