bumper....9 months up 9 months down is all very well, but four months on and nothing has changed for me. I was down to just under 12 st then it crept up again to 12.5 st.

But...I WILL be 11st by christmas, if it kills me!

I found THIS website. I've never heard of them before but the clothes are cheap as chips. Has anyone heard of them/bought from them before?

No fat seems to be budging?
I don't understand where and how my body is getting it's fat from?
I'm going to have to do something radical at this rate - I can't bear it! I disgust myself everytime a catch a glimps of a reflection of myself! Not to mention the damage I'm doing to my poor horses back!!!!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 29/09/2007 19:14

Daisy - that website looks great!!

bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 19:15

weight watchers? it does seem to work...

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 29/09/2007 19:17

Weight Watchers doesn't seem to do it for me - I'm more of a low GI girl - sugar seems to be my problem!

Bumper - I hope you are not offended by my post on that other thread - just my personal opinion - which is worth very little!

bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 19:21

Oh gosh no DKMA, while I am a militant bfer myself I hope that I never make anyone else feel uncomfortable for their choices, and you are absolutely right with what you said. Sorry, that reply wasn't directed at you, it was the OP. Opps, just realised that it sounded like I was talking to you - sorry !

bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 19:24

We (usually) do low gi too, only eat brown pasta, bread and rice. Could you have a thyroid problem causing a slow metabolism? Are you feeling well within yourself?

bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 19:26

DKMA - you still there? Come back!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 29/09/2007 19:34

Oh sorry I was just looking at a website for a personal trainer who does 'mums baby and buggy out door exercise sessions' I think I'm going to give it a go!!
Other than feeling fat - I am feeling fine!
My mum has an underactive thyroid so maybe I should get it checked out?! But that would mean a blood test - which would mean a needle! Eeek!
I didn't want to offend you with the whole bf'ng thing - I just want everyone to be happy - whatever they choose

faylisa · 29/09/2007 19:37

Fark, fark fark. Just dropped DS off at his Great Aunt's for the night and thought I'd have a quick catch up before catching train to meet DH fir his birthday drinks and.... I got too engrossed and missed the train! There is no exvuse as we live virtually next to the station, so am skulking here again and must try and avoid missing the next one too.

Think I'd better tell DH there was trffic on the way to his Aunt's. Bugger!

I'm a member of NCT and have met some nice people - it's worth giving your local branch a call, explaining your circumstamces and seeing if they'll let you join at the reduced rate. They are usually pretty good about that.

bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 19:37

Defo DKMA, thyroid problems can be hereditary, and childbirth/pregnancy can be a trigger. I'm sure you are fine though, just worth getting checked out. Are you eating enough? Maybe your body is storing fat?

Urgh, I hate needles too but am having 2 weekly blood tests, and am rhesus negative so had to have loads of needles during and after pregnancy. I just always make sure I tell the nurse and they are always lovely to me.

faylisa · 29/09/2007 19:37

On the bright side, it's a chance for me to have a quick G&T before I go which may make me feel less fat and frumpy when I arrive!

bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 19:38

Oh dear faylisa, will you be in the dog house? Can you blame the LO's?!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 29/09/2007 19:39

Oh yep - I'm off for a bath (with a G&T) - I smell of horse!

faylisa · 29/09/2007 19:39

I will def be in doghouse if I admit why I'm late - DD is at Mum's and DS is now with his Great Aunt so I can't even blame them!

faylisa · 29/09/2007 19:45

Right am going to go and stand at station, just in case. Have a good evening all

BadZelda · 29/09/2007 20:19

yo!

bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 20:30

hi bz, how's your weekend going?

DaisyABandyBoobToo · 29/09/2007 20:38

evening BZ..I can't believe DD is still feeding. It's been non-stop today.

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 29/09/2007 20:45

having the opposite problem again daisy. dd just refused to feed for about 20 mins. I think it's to do with my let down. i eventually managed to get it with the pump and she finally weny on properly.

BadZelda · 29/09/2007 20:52

Not too bad at all actually. Went to a birthday party for one of DD1's friends this arvo, and then a quick visit to the pub before coming home to a yummy dinner (I love slow cookers).

Interesting thread about children's centres you posted on Daisy...I have never been to anything NCT (they scare me) but love using all the surestart stuff around where I live. Think I would go mad if we didn't go to 3-4 toddler groups a week. They do vary a lot - from cliquey to very friendly, depending on where they are (i.e. the one in the park: v inclusive. One in the middle of an estate: v. cliquey) but I've made some great friends from going to them, and now feel like I've got a pretty good network around here.

We're off swimming tomorrow - and I'm wearing my old speedo, which handily has a zip down the front so it's perfect for breastfeeding. I am less self-conscious about my weight than my overgrown ladygarden...must get that sorted tonight. DH will be happy - he loves inflicting pain on me.
Is babyboo still clusterfeeding then?

BadZelda · 29/09/2007 20:53

Bumper that sounds really stressful ;(

DaisyABandyBoobToo · 29/09/2007 21:03

bumper, do you think the thyroid problem is stopping your let down from happening? You are doing a fab job you know, and many would have thrown in the towel by now.

That thread was quite interesting when I was on it earlier, BZ, although it may well have degenerated into the usual class debate by now. The closest sure start centre to me is in quite a deprived area with a huge afro-carribean community. The day that I went the majority of the women seemed to be white middleish class, so it obviously isn't being used by the target group. Mind you that was just the baby cafe which is for all BF women. It is a good resource to have though. They do a bumps and babies group which i plan to go to next week, and there is another BF group, bosom buddies as well.

They also do baby massage as part of the baby cafe, so when my current class finishes I'll go there!

DD is having yet another growth spurt and has been feeding all day. the longest she has gone today without being on the boob is two hours, and her final feed there lasted over an hour!
