Charlie999 · 30/09/2007 19:27

How was the LO in the pool? I'm trying to build up the courage to take DD - although last night's public performance has put me off somewhat....

Blimey look at the time...need to start dinner....

andiem · 30/09/2007 19:30

he loves it charlie have floaty seat like this and he bobs around in the water

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/09/2007 19:32

someone once said to me "never have more children than you have hands". Its always stuck with me....although I would love to have just the one more. But, at 38.5 I feel like I'm a it old for it.

Mind you, my SIL was 42 when she had my niece

andiem · 30/09/2007 19:36

maybe we could have a virtual 3rd child we could share daisy?

Charlie999 · 30/09/2007 19:41

oh that looks great Andiem....she had a bath with me tonight and wee'd in it! But we have a brand new pool just opened here so would love to take her. 3rd lot of abs are this week so next week perhaps

Oh 38.5 isn't too old is it...I'm 39 next month and have only just started being a mum.....

Charlie999 · 30/09/2007 19:42

jabs I meant...3 of them this time

andiem · 30/09/2007 19:44

charlie I am 42 this year and I don't feel too old my friend is a sonographer and she sees lot of older mums now some are 45

andiem · 30/09/2007 19:46

off now as dh away this week and need to spend time with him

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/09/2007 19:57

we have just been working out how I can be a SAHM for a bit longer than originally planned so perhaps DH can be persuaded, although with the AND/PND I had a horrible pregnancy (and consequently so did he ) so I can understand his reticence.

And I can barely cope at the moment, so I know he will be against it. I need to get myself back on track and show him how wonderful I can cope, hopefully before he books the appointment for the snip!

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/09/2007 20:31

mind you, as having another one involves actually having sex, it isn't going to happen anytime soon in this house.

bumper, i took the basic lemsip powders (not flu or max strength) when i was feeling cack a few weeks ago. All they have in them is paracetomol so are OK for BFing.

riabutterflew · 30/09/2007 20:32

so, I am on my own this evening. DH has gone off to the wedding. am a bit he has gone without me as I really enjoyed my "me" time the other day and should maybe make more effort to be something other than just mummy. But I know I would have hated it really as it involves people...

baggins has a nasty cold and we had a crap night last night too. will have lots of cuddles until he goes to sleep then I need to make a birthday card for my mum who is 65 this week (the one I bought isn't good enough for a "big" birthday.

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/09/2007 20:57

Hi Ria....tis a bit quiet on here this evening.

I hope you are having a few galsses of vino and some chocolate by way of compensation.

Are DSs class back at school tomorrow after their field trip? How is he doing now?

foxybrown · 30/09/2007 21:00

Well done on getting the bed bought and built! My 3 have you to thank for being allowed to watch a dvd in their pj's and duvets in the living room after tea last friday night, eating all manner of sugary treats! You and your pj parties . They absolutely loved it!

I haven't taken lo swimming yet - wish I'd taken her yesterday so she wouldn't have yelled in her buggy while I took DD1 in, and the DSs had their lesson. Poor DD1 had a tantrum (quite understandably) at having to leave the pool.

The best thing about taking babies swimming is they sleep - for ages - afterwards!

riabutterflew · 30/09/2007 21:04

am having wine & crisps ... for now! can't believe dh left me with no doritos.

ds1s class back at school tomorrow. he is not looking forward to it still but we have done a bit of extra work on the war so he has something different to think about. maybe next time he is hesitant about something he will take a chance and give it a go?not a nice way to learn though

faylisa · 30/09/2007 21:06

Hi everyone - how can it be sunday night again, already. Why do weekends go so fast

daisyandbabybootoo · 30/09/2007 21:11

baby massage has the same effect foxy. DD was out for two hours after our session on Friday and she still went to bed at 8pm.

I tried the massage strokes on DS today in a bid to see if it would help calm him down....he just giggled like a thing possessed because it was ticky!!

DS was in bed quicker than you could say knife this evening ....I wonder when the novelty will wear off, or whether he will last the night without falling out!

thankfully it's not that high (only about 1.5m)...we bought a bunk bed and omitted the bottom bed slats rather than the full blown loft bed version.

foxybrown · 30/09/2007 21:11

Good luck to your DS for tomorrow Ria!

trendaverter · 30/09/2007 21:13

ARSE

Bloody grizzly sodding effing babies that NEVER SHUT UP

DH and I are at the end of our rope

BUT WHY?!?!!
WHY IS HE LIKE THIS?!?!?!?! AAARRRFGGGGHHH

riabutterflew · 30/09/2007 21:21

thanks foxy

can't help you ta. baggins is feeding again. i don't know if he's hungry, but he can't cry if he's got a large boob in his mouth!

he's on the wrong side though - i can reach the keyboard but not my wine. and i can't cross stitch one-handed.

trendaverter · 30/09/2007 21:27

Teething it is then

Exactly the same as DS

Charlie999 · 30/09/2007 21:27

Phew...finally caught up! I do hope the NHS still allow access to MN otherwise it'll be a nightmare when I go back to work

No advice I'm araid TA - still hae a whingey one myself.....fortunately mum was very understanding....

Aww my cat is lying next to me on the sofa VERY content, on his back, legs in the air, GLAD to be home after me imprisioning him for the week....he even licked my legs when I got out of the bath

trendaverter · 30/09/2007 21:27

Not my post - just coincidentally exactly the same thing

trendaverter · 30/09/2007 21:31

Anyway I am off to bed. Have been up since 3am, DS had a leaky nappy ( a disposable no less!) and wanted to play after I changed it so I am tired now.

Night all x

Charlie999 · 30/09/2007 21:31

TA I suspect my LO is suffering with the same thing.....for the first time ever she has 2 spots on her bum...and cheeks are redder than normal

Daisy...your LO has sprouted a tooth....does it sound like teething to you?
