StealthPolarBear · 25/09/2007 08:25

elkie, didn't realise you were going so soon, have a fantastic time!
maveta, good news that your dad is now on the main ward.
oooggs, hope your friend's DS is OK
Pillock, strange you have been given that advice, I was talking to a friend yesterday whose baby is about 27 weeks, she has a friend who is a MW who always asks her is she has given her DD fruit juice yet - as though it's something you have to do. Very strange.
Well, after smugly going through our 'routine' which involved T maybe waking at 5am, he woke at 2am last night, just to be awkward. Worked quite well though as I never really get back to sleep after the 5am one but did this morning - I had 9 hours sleep in all!

Yey for sleep - couldn't chuck some my way, could you!!? I could do with a few more hours ...... Don't think I'll EVER get used to the sleep deprivation and seer bloody hard work of parenting. Wouldn't swap it for all the world though. My girls are incredible.

What a day, oooggs! Phew! I'm here til P wakes up then my friend is picking me up and we are going back to her gaff for lunch, then ....... ??

OMFG trying to track down a savings account my grandad set up for me when i was a child. When he died my jmum went throught all his stuff but couldnt find any info on it. I remember i had a certificate that had a bee hive and bees on it and someone suggested to me that that sounds like NNP who were taken over by Abbey. So I just rang Abbey and spoke to some stupid woman who said they do have a tracing service but they would need an account number or something. Now if I had an acoount number I wouldnt nned the fucking account traced would I?! I'd just be getting my money out! Have a number for a general building societys tracing thing so will try that and she also said try in branch which I will. Bloody woman really didnt seem to have a clue what i was talking about really!

Sorry havent read a thing since last night yet! Oh ELKIE - have a fantastic holiday, it sounds amazing! Very !!

nappynuttynormabutty · 25/09/2007 09:58

Glad some of you got more sleep last night. I can't imagine how hard it must be when you have a baby that wakes a few times (I'm sooooo not good without sleep!).

Elkie - have a lovely holiday x

Luce - have a good meet-up.

Leaky was going to be coming today but she has tonsilitus so doesn't want to pass it on!!! Hope you're feeling better soon. At least it means I don't have to get tidied up .

P is being an ickle pickle this morning, v.tired and snotty but keeps waking up - either for poo or boobie. Sigh. Hoping she has finally settled now ...... ......

Enjoy Alaska, Elkie - pleased you decided to go in the end - You won't regret it! xx

@ Abbey, Pesha - what a complete pain in the arse - sounds like you could do with going into your local branch in person. Idiots. Hope you get it sortedand that there is thousands of pounds in the account!! (If there is, could you shove some my way ......!!!?)

nappynuttynormabutty · 25/09/2007 10:26

Hellooooo
Hope you are all well
Maveta - Hope your dad gets well soon.
Pinions - 5 stone, i'm so i go back to work in three weeks and can't fit into any of my old bottoms.
Ellie - i feel like a right b* calling you pillock!
I'm loving the convos about weaning and sleeping - just exactly what i need advice about. S is terrible at sleeping and off late (past three nights) everytime i put her down she wakes up! However her eczema is really dry and she is itching alot so maybe she is irritated - also i just took her her to the Drs because a few spots have come up on her since sunday and he reckons its Chickenpox - oh lawdy..............
Off to see a homeopath about ezcema so will log on in a bit.

StealthPolarBear · 25/09/2007 11:50

oooggs · 25/09/2007 12:17

happy holidays elkie

Hi yvie - how is Sarai doing??

well one group finished and 50% have eaten (James and I for a change got fed first)

we are having sunshine & showers - just trying to dodge them as pointless driving cos I can't carry two babies or two car seats

mammyjo · 25/09/2007 12:59

Hello everyone. Back after my weekend away. Christening went ok, glad to be back home though! Feeling really tired and run down, mainly due to long car journey and F not sleeping when away, which meant me not sleeping either!

I have new neighbours next door and they are constantly banging and drilling and generally being noisy. Normally doesnt bother me as they are trying to decorate whole house, but today it is really grating on my tired nerves!

Hope everyone is doing ok, attempted to catch up but not getting very far. Remember reading about secret santa. Would be up for that, who is organising it? Is it for us or for the babies?

Maveta, glad your dad is back on the main ward. Hoping he gets home soon xxx

GMM, I have got the "Secrets of the Baby Whisperer" book. Dont know whether you still want or need it, but let me know if you do and I will send it to you. Also have "The good sleep guide" by Angela Henderson. No idea whether it is any good as I have never read it, but you are welcome to that too (or anyone else).

nappynuttynormabutty · 25/09/2007 13:18

Hi MJ - glad the christening went ok. It's so tiring doing all the travelling with a LO. Dh was knackered last night.

Hi Yvie!

Well my washing is all on/drying/put away .

For anyone who's interested about my veg box...well they were meant to bring it by 9am on Fri (so we could put it away before we set off to ILs). Wasn't there by 10 (when we were ready to leave) so dh rang them and they said they wouldn't charge us and would let the driver know and would ring today to sort something out with us. So got back yesterday, recipe/letter is through the door, veg/fruit/bread/milk is on patio...has been raining so bags soaked, bread soggy, milk is off cos it's been sat outside for days. Anyway most of veg is ok and they've left another "freebie bag" (pasta, pasta sauce, pesto and raspberry fizz - they'd left one on the thursday to apologise for the week before). So they rang back today...they're giving us this week's for free, so will see if it all arrives this week. If it doesn't we'll change suppliers but I thought as it's free I might as well accept it .

Eddas · 25/09/2007 13:23

hi everyone, sort of caught up but not really, too many posts!

Went to bed just after 9 last night but thanks to lovely ds(has a cold) didn't get much sleep still. Up and down like a bloody yoyo, it's these times I wish we had a spare room so dh or I could go share with ds, not up for him in our bed as we still don't sleep

pinions thanks for all that advice on my weightloss thread, will be implimenting some of it

Haven't heard from work yet, how much talking do they need to do

ermmmm, i know there was somehting else, erm, nope it's gone

anyone got any healthy ideas for dinner for a veggie and 3 non veggies? Don't want to faff too much

Sorry for self indulgent posts, i do go on a bit, don't I

liath · 25/09/2007 13:31

/mammyjo - I'm doing the secret santa so just drop me an email if you are interested .

If only I could parcel up some sleep and send it round, I think most of us could do with more!

nappynuttynormabutty · 25/09/2007 13:42

Eddas - how about something like a vegetable stir fry? You could always grill some chicken (or other meat) to chuck in for the meat eaters after you've served the veggie iyswim.

mammyjo · 25/09/2007 13:44

Liath, have emailed you

Eddas · 25/09/2007 14:14

Eddas · 25/09/2007 14:15

DS now has dd's delightful bug and is being a right PITA, at least when dd had it dh was at home to share the pita load
