Morning! Night was ok once we got there - had DD2 in bed with us til 12.30am-ish - sent her back to her cot cos she was wriggling and kicking so much! All stil sleeping, but I need to pump! Yawn!

Pants to bad night, SBS - It does get better!

Hi Liath!

How's everyone today? I'm stressed ......

Eddas · 27/09/2007 08:01

hi evryone, spb good news on the house. cd, why are you stressed?

was expecting a bad night as put ds in his cot for a nap about 4.30 and when i checked he looked very much as if he was in big sleep mode, but he slept til 3, had some milk(and lots of coughing) and went back to sleep by 4 and up at 7.30 think he was a little tired from his previous few nights of coughing.

both of them are still coughing a lot(especially first thing) but fingers crossed that they can now at least sleep at night, dd has done for the past 2/3 nights and ds did last night.

EandH is coming round later to help sort/cull dd's toys, i am crap at chucking stuff(she is very good) and I want to sort them since she doesn't play with anything. think there's too much crud

Sexonlegs · 27/09/2007 08:12

Hi all

Hope you are all well and had good nights.

Cold here too today - have the heating back on.

Feel crap. Too much info but af arrived and has wiped me out. Also feel as if coming down with summat - headache, glands up under arm etc. Eughhhhhhh! Can I have a day off to recuperate???? Of course not, mothers never do!!!!

Sorry for the rant.

geordiemacminx · 27/09/2007 08:14

morning ladies

SPB - Congrats on getting your house sold... bet you are soooo pleased!!!

Smole, thinking of you all over the coming weeks.

SBS, sorry you had such a crappy night - its the last thing you need at the moment.

C has been in his cot for the past 3 night and has slept til 5...happy days!!!

Bad daddy moment - dp hadnt strapped him into his bouncey chair this morning, so c decied to go sky diving... luckily he rolled over before he fell, so it was only about 5 inches, and he landed on his nose...poor wee soul got a fright more than anything.

Just been on the news that a woman has just given birth to a17lb baby... thats bigger than C NOW...ARGHHHHHHHHHHH Luckily se had a section!!!

liath · 27/09/2007 08:26

Ooh, nearly forgot. Lucewheel the cream I was on about is Aveeno. BTW what was the name of that soft-play/restaurant place you mentioned? Cheers.

StealthPolarBear · 27/09/2007 08:30

its not just the 12 hours its the travelling time which makes it closer to 13.5 hours away from home I know its is job and it has to be done

on a lighter note - the sun is shining but it is cold and we lit a fire last night (woodburner) it was lovely

oooggs · 27/09/2007 10:04

17lb baby bigger than mine together and they were big for twins

Bramshott · 27/09/2007 10:10

I'm online for once!! Niamh at school, Orla sleeping - bliss!! Should probably be working though!

Ellie - I think I just sent you a friend request on Facebook. Am trying to drag myself into the 21st century!

CaptainDippy · 27/09/2007 11:06

{{{{{{{{oooggs}}}}}}} what a nightmare for you hon - Think I wouldh ave a nervous breakdown if my DH had a job like that so I tihnk you are amazing! It'll be over soooooooooon ........

I am just stressed - mainly cos we've got no money - we've just had our 'phone cut off! Bugger. Neeeeeeed to get a job, but have no childcare options - arse arse arse!

Hey, the sun is shining ..... doodle, doodle!

Older 2 in nursery this PM so P & I are looking after my friends' 42 yr old BIL who has Downs - He is absolutely lovely and would sit at the kitchen table doing colouring all afternoon if I let him - No chance - I'm taking him to the Mini Railway for a cuppa and ride - He'll love it!

CaptainDippy · 27/09/2007 11:06

Darn - just opened a box of biscuits and they have been dropped so are all broken - Sigh, I'll just have to eat them all up then!

mammyjo · 27/09/2007 11:43

Cd, sorry to hear things are tough for you just now. I am really lucky that my parents are ultra reliable for child care. Has to be arranged around their work commitments, but they will always help me out if need be. Do take them for granted some times, should realise how lucky I am! Hope you get your phone sorted out. Is there anyone who might be able to help you out in the short term?

GMM, glad C was ok after his tumbling! F has fallen flat on her face a couple of times, but only when sitting up on the sofa. Her face just kind of splatted into the seat! Bless her.

SOL, hope you feel better soon.

Oooggs, Feel for you with dh and his work. My dh is away for three days, sunday to tuesday night, and I am not looking forward to it at all.

Bramshott, good to see you

Feel a bit ropey here today. Have got a cold. F has it too and did not sleep at all well last night. She is really snotty and her little eyes are watery and a bit puffy Have been out this morning and bought some of that calpol night stuff to try her with tonight. Hopefully it might get us all a bit more sleep!

CaptainDippy · 27/09/2007 11:53

Sorry you and F are feeling a bit icky, MJ - hope the Calpol Night works for F and gets you guys a bit more rest!

No, no one who can help us out - TBH we'd need a VERY big "helping out" to get us out of the mess that we are in .......

mammyjo · 27/09/2007 12:03

Your poor thing CD {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{BIG HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} to you. Hope things get better soon xx

CaptainDippy · 27/09/2007 12:05

WestCountryLass · 27/09/2007 12:19

CD sorry funds are tight I am assumming you have done all the things they say to do (contacting creditors and arranging/deferring for more manageable terms/amounts etc)?

Sexonlegs · 27/09/2007 12:21

Oh CD, sorry you are in a mess. Hope somthing can be sorted somehow. I am relying on the lottery! 88 million on the Euro Lottery.

MJ, hope you and F are feeling better soon. Medised is good for colds too

I feel ropey still - knocking back the soluble aspirin. Luce, I did have a mocha, but sadly no flake!

Oooggs, what a pita re your dh's shifts. I do not know how you cope - all credit to you.

NorthernLurker · 27/09/2007 12:32

Am emerging from long term lurking to say - Captain Dippy - so sorry you are in the doldrums - I have three girls too and obvoiusly the youngest is an April 07 baby.
Is it out of place to mention Jeremiah 29 vs 11 - please ignore me if this is not your thing but I have the impression perhaps you might find that verse of interest/comfort. (I'm looking at it in NIV translation). As I say - if not for you - please just ignore me.

daytime sleeps can be a nightmare - with ds1 it was either car or pushchair until he was 2.5 I know our own fault. Even nursery (from 14 mths) struggled and often had to rock him. Hence not doing it again.

Well straight after lunch, nappies checked, straight into cots in dark room with classic music (tiny love thingy mobile - only the music bit) a dummy each which they were playing with and a blanket (cos it cold) and I walked out - that was 5 min ago and no noise!!!!!! Daren't check just yet. It is hard with them in together cos one might go for it and sleep (normally Erin) and the other may just kick off (normally Jack)

will keep you informed.

hugs to dippy, hope things pick up soon, but I don't have any suggestions - children don't have get in the way when you can't get childcare

oooggs · 27/09/2007 12:51

I am gob smacked - they are both asleep!!!!!!!!!!!! never been done before and it worked. PARTY!!!!!!!!

and there is no one about to tell come back.........
