Parties are really hard work, aren't they? Did WAY too much entertaining of extra kids last week. I think I will take it easy next week.

faylisa · 22/09/2007 21:51

I didn't even do very much as we went out to eat but I found having all DH's family here totally exhausting. And it isn't even her birthday until tomorrow, when we have yet more people descending! She starts nursery on Monday morning by which time she will no doubt be totally exhausted!

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/09/2007 21:53

oops, I disappeared too. I was reading a thread about best BF moments..

I had my BF epiphany today and we had our first ever pain free, perfect latch, stay on till content and let go smiling feed .....in a parking place at the side of the dual carriageway on the York by-pass.

And she fed perfectly again when we got home, with a few smiles thrown in for me during the feed. It's given me the oomph to keep going, although tomorrow is another day!

We've been to the east coast today...Staithes, then for a drive over the moors on the way home stopping in Pickering for fish and chips. The weather has been glorious and my DCs just brilliant. DH had to drag me out of the house screamng and kicking almost , but I'm glad I did it. I got myself into a right state at the thought of it, but eventually got out of the house. DH suggested Whitby, which I love, but I started having another panic attack at the thought of all the crowds . Staithes was very peaceful and calm though, and I sat on the front feeding DD whilst the boys fished for crabs, it was lovely.

Very knackered now after all that sea air!

Daisy - I'm really glad you had such a nice day, you've obviously been really down recently. Hope you have a good one again tomorrow

derlor · 22/09/2007 22:03

faylisa · 22/09/2007 22:05

I'm not too far from the Walton on Thames one, but have never been

daisyandbabybootoo · 22/09/2007 22:05

Not near Boden....I don't think anyway.

Can't you buy on-line?

faylisa · 22/09/2007 22:08

I think there are only two and the second is somewhere in London (north?)

derlor · 22/09/2007 22:08

I want this lovely coat but there is a 10 week wait online!! there is a shop in London too, so not EXACTLY local for me

faylisa · 22/09/2007 22:10

It is very nice! DO they have them in store then? If you can get one held in Walton then I could go and get it for you but.... probably not next week as we have nursery starting and am going to my parents' for a few days

derlor · 22/09/2007 22:11

the shops are here

faylisa · 22/09/2007 22:13

daisy that's really good news! xz

Jamantha · 23/09/2007 09:32

Morning all. Am very tired after our night out. was lovely, although I made bad menu choices so ended up was disappointing meal. LO definitely has a cold, is a right little snuffle-opagous this morning . We're meant to be going out this afternoon as well, leaving her with my ILs, so hope we still can, especially after a lot of perseverence to get 120ml EBM in the fridge to allow us to go out.

Glad you had a good day yesterday Daisy, you deserve it! Hope the BF continues to go well.

good morning...

LOL at sympathy fatigue DG, what a great terminology

DH and I are trying to rain proof the contents of our garage today.
Havw written a letter to the roofers telling them they have 10 days to rectify the problem and spouting the Sale of Goods and Services Act at them. Then if we don't hear from them we can get someone in to do a proper jod then set about reclaiming the additional money and the cost of replacing the contents through the small claims court. Thankfully we have legal cover on our contents insurance.

Unfortunately we are going to be out of pocket for a while, but we can't leave things the way they are....it was actually raining in the garage on Friday afternoon!

Like I need anything else to worry about.
