hi, bugger your roof daisy. there is always SOMETHING isn't there? hope you feel refreshed after yesterday. according to the tutor on the holistic course i half-did, the sea is a great healer and useful for self-meditation techniques.

lol at sympathy fatigue. that's what i have. treatable only with cheap wine and doritos!

i believe my ds has invited us for lunch with the GPs today (self preservation!)

back tonight. have a good day.

Rx

i bought a red samurai sword. DH can't cope with the bidding tension on ebay - dead funny

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 11:14

Ria, I used to have a sea view from my flat in Kirkcaldy....I really miss that here.

I looked right out over the forth estuary and could see the weather coming in which was quite dramatic sometimes.

I'm trying to convince DH that we need to move nearer the coast. He grew up round here and the seaside was reserved for holidays wheras I used to walk the coastal path with my dad's dog every Saturday, and DS and I spent hours on the beach every week when he was little. It's kind of in my blood.

Maybe that's why I've gone a bit crazy since moving to Leeds? [hmm}

Bumperlicious,

Yes, the fenugreek really worked for me. It's a natural remedy (I got it from Holland and Barratt in capsule form- 100 for £7.99 I think). First time I took about 10 over a few days, second time only about 5. I can feel the difference after a day or so, as I would feel fuller between feeds, leak more, and be able to express more. DS would also have lots of milk around his mouth after a feed, and be much more satisfied, although one consequence was power poos!

justbeme · 23/09/2007 14:06

wow tis quiet here!
had a good wedding last nite - got to bed at 2 am!
L only took 2oz ebm and then fell asleep for 2 hrs and then 1 more oz.
chatted to a women 1 yr younger than me who has 6 kids from 2-19 and she hates being pregnant and giving birth!!

might go out to local park soon as a lovely day and not long had my brunch!

Jamantha · 23/09/2007 16:53

Just had an afternoon by oursleves at the shops. Typically we ended up spending more time picking clothes for DD than ourselves! And after lots of worrying about getting enough milk expressed, she fell asleep most of the time we were out and only woke for a feed when we got back, so the EBM didn't get used. Will come in handy later though as her bedtime top-up, so won't be wasted.

justbeme · 23/09/2007 17:08

Jamantha - I was looking at "Kellymom" about how long you can fridge/freeze EBM and its quite hardy stuff!! Enen if they dont take all of one feed you can reuse it - have a look at the site 'cos I cant q remember all the info!!

Jamantha · 23/09/2007 17:11

JBM, have had this stuff in the fridge for 4 days now, being added to day by day, and read that you can keep it in the fridge for 5 days and if you're going to freeze it you should do so within 24 hours. So too late to freeze, and needs to be used tonight or tomorrow.

trace2 · 23/09/2007 18:46

hi all, can not catch up with you lot lol, daisy, and bumper, i think your doing a great job with bf, i would have given up by now.
hows every one else? and whats your babes all doing now and whats there weights? and size clothes they all in?

chloe, is 9lb 9 oz now size 0 to 3 monthes clothes, she still not holding her head but her back strong so she getting strssed she can not hold her head up, and she as gone 9 days with no sezures

trace2 · 23/09/2007 18:49

oh anyone weaning yet?

Nbg · 23/09/2007 18:51

Sorry for crashing

great to hear dd hasnt had a seizure for a while trace.

Long may it last!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 19:00

hi trace....sounds good with chloe re the seizures. and try not to worry about her neck strength, I'm sure it will come good in time....my DH couldn't hold his head up till about 9mo due to nasty forceps delivery.

babyboo is now in 3-6 months although some 0-3 still fitting. Not sure of her weight but she was 12lb 7oz a couple of weeks ago. Some of the boys on here are mahoosive 17lbers!

we're waiting till nearer six months for weaning as she doesn't show any interest in anything other than my boobs at the moment. I want to do BLW and miss out on the whole pureed stage as I have neither the time nor inclination for it this time around!

She is sleeping already this evening. I know that if I put her to bed now she'll be awake again in the wee small hours. her routine has gone loopy the last few days.

trace2 · 23/09/2007 19:17

nbg hows the bump going? and the hunting of pushchairs going Lol? and thank you i hope shes grown out of them but who knows.

daisy, whats happing with your dd and sleeping? chloe as started waking at 4 am again and shes going mad with her hands in mouth, i was wonding if she needs weaning? i know they say 6 months, but even ds 5 years ago i weaned him at 3 1/2 months and he only took little milk to like chloe, she only takes 2 to 3 oz but its every two hours

Nbg · 23/09/2007 19:36

bump ok, 9 weeks left now. Pushchairs are a nightmare lol.

Lovely to hear Chloe is doing well. I'm so pleased.

Jamantha · 23/09/2007 19:43

Our LO was 12lb 2ox 12 days ago. Sleepsuits 0-3 month still fit, but have had to move onto 3-6 months for vests with poppers between legs (think largely due to big cloth nappy though). and one vest thing is 6-12 months and only just fits - I think their sizing system must be a bit off!

riabutterflew · 23/09/2007 19:45

am very happy for you trace - long may it last. give dd a big cuddle from all of us.

we are having a v odd sunday night - the big boys are in bed already so it's way too quiet. i am bored!

baggins is doing well some 0-3 things still fit but in 3-6. he is very long but not 17lb yet i don't think. no weaning here yet, am still bf but will be mixing bf & ff soon. i am fairly sure ds1 was weaned at 3 monthsish 10 years ago. i can't remember with ds2.

trace2 · 23/09/2007 19:51

wow great to join in convo again

riabutterflew · 23/09/2007 20:43

andiem · 23/09/2007 20:50

Derlor I am off to boden shop with friend this week if you want me to look for coat. they do baby stuff now so am going to look for stuff for ds2

Hi to everyone else am going to bed now but will catch up more tomorrow

trendaverter · 23/09/2007 20:50

Hi Trace good to hear your DD is going well

I had a bit of an episode tonight, unhappy/nervous/anxious about going back to work, it's been a year - I was fine then I was packing his bag with spare clothes and nappies and I felt REALLY sick then cried a bit.

But I am ok now.
I suspect I will have another episode tomorrow.

justbeme · 23/09/2007 20:51

Evening all!
Thats fantastic news Trace!
L is just growing out of 0-3 mths stuff, but Im getting 1 last wear out of everything! LOL!
Find the sleepsuits fit but then when you pick her up the toes are too tight - so dont want to do any damage!
My DD1 was 56cm at birth though, which is what Lucy is approx now (10weeks). So she's going to be abit of a short arse compared to her big sister!!
Not sure how much she weighs - cant be bothered to go everyweek second time round! But at her 7 week check I think she was 11lb plus.

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 20:54

Trace...according to HV (and our esteemed Derlor), the hands in mouth is just what they do and nothing to do with needing something else to eat. I think at this stage the calories from milk are better than calories from puree veg.

I started giving DS baby rice at 14 weeks but it's not the done thing these days.

Ria......I've not had a spa here, but apparently This Place is a bit nice. There's also the www.harrogate.gov.uk/harrogate-1100 Turkish Baths]] in Harrogate. We go there for the spa experience but they do treatments as well.

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 20:56

TA...chin up me lovely. It will be very hard tomorrow, but we are all here for you. No doubt I'll be around at lunchtime if you need to wail.

Good Luck for tomorrow

daisyandbabybootoo · 23/09/2007 20:57

oooops Turkish Baths
