Are canary isles warm then? I know it was twenty something degrees when we went in April once.

We have just booked a trip to eurodisney in Novemeber for dc's birthdays. Dreadful place, but they will love it. Unfortunately we travel back on my 30th but I will have champagne on the train and when we get to London we can stop at a patisserie for tea so it's not too bad. I will do something on the saturday night.

Wilkie - how sad about that family, I hadn't heard that on the news.

Lol at UD'S potato theory.

ToadieG1 · 05/10/2007 22:35

UD - I agree with you

Wilkie - that's so sad, hadn't heard until now.

LTH - I have no idea and was walking to a dad at school about it today actually. He's been at school and pre-school pick-ups and in the park etc but nowhere the other two haven't been. I thought it very odd that he has it first. I'll try the bi-carb, have been using e45 and calomine but he doesn't seem itchy still. He has loads of spots on his legs and bum but less on his torso and face. Only 1 or 2 on his face, 50 or so on arms, quite a few on stomach and back but small ones and his legs are covered. Quite odd. He's been very unsettled today though and clingy so I've been carrying him around and feeding him a lot. He was up and down about 5 times before finally sleeping properly, poor thing.

shimmer - thanks. Glad Freddie is over his cold now.

MrsC - Mine keep on about going to disneyland, have to go soon. My 30th next year, dreading it. Hope yours is ok.

MrsCarrot · 05/10/2007 22:46

Hope the spots clear up soon, Jodie.

It will be a surprise for dd, I have ordered the promotional dvd and I am going to wrap it up loads in a big box on her birthday then we go two days later. It is for ds1 too as his birthday is two weeks later, they're all clustered together. We took ds1 four years ago and didn't tell him till we were on the eurostar. He thought we were going to the dinosaur park

I can think of places I'd rather be than consumer hell but they love it and I'm a sucker. We will do culture when they're older.

ratfly · 06/10/2007 08:11

shimmer - we are going to Barcelona in feb. might see you there!

bunnyhunny · 06/10/2007 08:36

It is me - ratfy. Do you like my new name I am trying out?

I decided to go against the grain and instead of getting spooky for halloween, I am going cute instead.

LadyTophamHatt · 06/10/2007 08:48

sorry, ratfly....the word "Hun" in so it makes me feel a little queesy in any shape or form.

LadyTophamHatt · 06/10/2007 08:49

oppps sorry forgot teh off the end of that. was mean to sound funny not sarky

geoRGEEweasley · 06/10/2007 09:02

Morning all.

UD - pmsl at potatoes. Wish you'd got to talk to her. I always end up screaming at her when watching BUB.

All this holiday talk is making me feel Quite fancy a holiday. Have to wait until Xmas when I have 3 weeks off work.

Quick post as am supposed to be getting eveything ready for the wedding today and stay at PIL. Got all my stuff together, but need to sort out lo's food and toys. Shouldn't take too long I guess. But DH has found time to go for a 13 mile run (as you do) with his mate so I can spare time for MN!
Got to leave at midday, but am also expecting someone to be delivering a dining room suite for me this morning. My dGrandpa died last year and left me his table and chairs, but I've no idea where we're going to put them or what to do with our current dining table.

Have a good weekend

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 11:18

Rgee, do you set up all your friends so you can go to LOADS of weddings?

WizardofWilkdom · 06/10/2007 19:20

Ratfly - sorry, don't like the new name either. Does it have to be animal based?

Got two new fishies for my aquarium - silver Mollies (Darby and Joan) - they are very cute although Darby is very randy so I have been doing voiceover:

Mollie: "Gerrof me Darby, I'm not in the mood"
Darby: "Come on, it's been weeks"
Mollie: "I'm too tired, got a headache"
Darby: "But you are looking good enough to eat"
Mollie: "Period has arrived"
Darby: "That was last week.."

Well - it keeps me and DH entertained on a Saturday night....

Where is 2Happy???

WizardofWilkdom · 06/10/2007 19:23

THE TANK SO FAR...

Darby & Joan

Derek, Tracey, Sharon, Fudge, Kylie and Ursula

eandh · 06/10/2007 19:57

bored wilkie?????

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 21:03

Wilkie, I can't believe you called a fish, Sharon

WizardofWilkdom · 06/10/2007 21:11

Why? She just looks like a Sharon (she puts it about a bit with Fudge and Derek)

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 21:12

Derek??

That is worse than Sharon!

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 21:13

Why don't you call one Trevor and Barbera

WizardofWilkdom · 06/10/2007 21:21

I wanted to call the cat Brenda but DH put his foot down. My last cat was called Dave...

I have a thing about calling animals really ordinary names. It's a terrible affliction

MrsCarrot · 06/10/2007 21:39

It's funny!

laughalot · 07/10/2007 14:26

Shimmer the best european dest for the weather will be the canaries but remember they are just a beach holiday and not much else, if you wanted a bit of culture cyprus is nice but the weather wont be as hot.

Wilkie lol my mum is called joan .

eandh · 07/10/2007 17:46

wilkie - you could name the fish after mums mine would be pauline

WizardofWilkdom · 07/10/2007 18:41

I like Pauline.... Hmm, depends which fish I get next. Am addicted to buying fish. Hmmmm, maybe I need to get a life???

J got his top two teeth today - simultaneously. He just suddenly started really crying and was biting down on his muslin, then I noticed a bit of blood on the muslin, had a peek and the teeth had cut. Anyone else found their LO's gums bled? It's only taken three months....!

Getting weighed tomorrow at WW. According to my scales I have lost 4lb but we'll see. I have been so good and stuck to the plan completely (despite DH being a shit the other night and getting chinese!!!! - how mean?)

eandh · 07/10/2007 20:51

I only lost a 1.5lb this week BUT am on and ad pmt and been good and resisted chocolate but I did have a little bit of chinese on friay night and last night had a few (and few means about 10 chips) with my steak so not bad 5.5lb in 2 weeks (only 22lb to go before xmas )

Have had a weird day done loads (hattie woke up at .30 ) but got paint etc for the now new playroom/study took girls to a birthday part and have spent from 3pm to 8.30pm painting done one coat of whole room but it needs a 2nd coat and skirting/doors need glossing.

Managed to get some gorgeous furniture- computer desk and sideboard on ebay - solid pine hand made from local shop (we have a few bits from there but its mega £'s) anyway got both items for £150 which is a bargain as the computer desk is £200 new on its own!!! My dad is going to pick them up in his van tomorrow night and they'll go in the new playroom (we have a toy box from this shop that'll match perfectly) and dh suggested getting a couple of big bean bags to go in there so we can lounge around with the girls - I am so excited- will post pics when its all finished (am thinking of sorting all the photos in there and putting a couple of big black and white photos of the girls/from our wedding up)

Really need new curtains for in there but that'll have to wait till payday as spent lots already this month

theUrbanDryad · 07/10/2007 22:51
