laughalot · 04/10/2007 19:15

I think rgee likes weddings you are never at home woman

gobletofblood · 04/10/2007 19:17

ooh rgee lots of vino!!

I remember having chickenpox and being really upset when my mum told me she'd shaken my bedsheet outside cos there were so many scabs...I had wanted to see them all! I had shingles when I was at uni which I think you get if you've already had chxpox and the virus gets you again. Now that was scratchy too....

E&H I am just the same as you I start off thinking they won;t suck me in but whatever it is I always seem to end up buying it

Jodie- Yes def trying for a third. Actually I have changed the conversation to 'shall we have a 4th'!!

Pink- still keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Rgee- my midwife said that they used to think a year but now they think it is less (but she said 6months). Just being on the safe side. Having 3 under 3 just seemed to scary!

Ruth was a nightmare tonight to put to bed She was SCREAMING her head off til she fell asleep on me. She is normally such an angel and I dont think I have ever seem her like it. I didnt recognise her!

Lizzzombie · 04/10/2007 23:22

Does anyone else think that Primark jeans come up small? I can't believe I am a size 16. I have never been a 16. I think I need councelling...can someone please pass me a donut...thank you.

LadyTophamHatt · 05/10/2007 07:30

Lizz, primark jeans come up Teeny.

I tried some on awhile ago, when I was still a bit to chunky for my size 10/12 pre-pg jeans and couldn't get into a 16, well I could but it looked like they'd been sprayed on and they weren't meant to be tight fitting ones.
A size 14 wouldn't even go over my bum.

I left the shop in a massive huff!

eandh · 05/10/2007 07:37

omg just found an old boyfriend on facebook (the one I dumped so I could be with dh!!) he has changed into one handsome bloke hmmmm should have stuck around with him (and he is living int he maldives teaching people how to dive - me jealous never )

eandh · 05/10/2007 07:37

obviously he wasnt ugly when I went out with him - but he is def a 'phwaor' now!!

Lizzzombie · 05/10/2007 08:45

LTH - do you promise thats the truth?! Otherwise I will have to start starvation diet (tomorrow - after pizza night tonight!)

EaH - hmm, a dive instructor in the maldives you say? I reckon you can safely read into that he is a major player with numerous STDs caught from bedding middle aged women! He is probably majorly jealous of your life too. Did you 'poke' him or email him or anything? My big university "love" emailed me via facebook a few months back. I am so pleased he lives in Oz and is never going to turn up on my doorstep! But - I was dead chuffed he had looked me up though!

WizardofWilkdom · 05/10/2007 10:35

Lizz - Primark jeans MEGA small. I need a 14 to fit into them and am usually a 10. So i don't buy them

Just powered walked for an hour pushing J and am KNACKERED. Then got home and left him in the house whilst I put buggy back in boot of car, didn't realise he had come to front door and he fell out onto his nose!!!! Felt SO guilty but he is fine with just a graze.

Talking of my front door, I fell out of it too yesterday, I didn't realise the cat was on the doorstep, trod on her, fell forward but still had one foot inside and a hand on the door so slammed the door shut on my ankle. I honestly thought I had broken it but thank god not - it is just black today. It doesn't hurt to walk (hence power walking) but looks horrendous!

Scary talking about trying for babies - I am broody but not so much that I want to try just yet. Our friends have found out that they are having a girl (they already have a boy) and am feeling a bit .

Off for a poo....catch you later x

LadyTophamHatt · 05/10/2007 10:56

I promise it is the absolute truth, so help me god.

fancy meeting for a cuppa one day next week? get massivebigpants to come too. Thursday would be good for me, only have to get back for school runs rather then 10,000,000 other things on every other day.

katwith3kittens · 05/10/2007 12:50

[confused ] what does that mean LTH ?

Chicken pox is great to get when they are little, they are too young to scratch and they dont get any scarring. Bring him around to my house please

Yesterday was a lovely day. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but I'm so glad I went. The church was packed and there wasnt a dry eye in the place, grown men sobbed, I think we all thought how very very lucky we are. We all wore something pink and the sun shone. It was beautiful.

I had a glass of wine at lunchtime and felt completly sloshed. I had to get a cafe nero take out and with a brisk walk to sober up before I could collect the kids

LadyTophamHatt · 05/10/2007 13:35

whaty cluthing left nork??

its like swaering on the bible...but in MN land

LadyTophamHatt · 05/10/2007 13:36

eandh · 05/10/2007 13:44

no lizz he has met a girl out there and they are living together and I posted on his wall just saying hi, he knows I got married (in fact he came to the evening reception as he is mates with my brother and a few of them came along in the evening) but thought I'd let him know about e and h (he probably doesnt want to know but hey I havent got anything else interesting to tell him!)

Its dh birthday next week and I got him a huge chocolate slab from thorntons with 'happy birthday daddy love ellie and hattie' iced on it and a worlds best daddy mug as he broke his

laughalot · 05/10/2007 14:58

Omg I thought it meant you were clutching your left tit lth thought you had gone mad now I realise its just me.

ToadieG1 · 05/10/2007 15:10

Thanks all, Ethan isn't itching yet so hoping he won't. Lots more spots now though. Morgan has a temp and a headache so may be coming down with it too, have to wait and see,

Rgee - hope you enjoyed the night out, I need to get out soon.

DH - Ooh I envy you, I'd love another.

ratfly · 05/10/2007 19:18

Sorry to hear so many lo's have chicken pox. I think it's a start of term thing, as we have a case at our school. The mum sent him in, as she "just thought they were flea bites". Nice.

Why all the talk of more kids!!!! I'm not over the trauma of the pregnancy and birth of the first one yet ;) I am feeling a little broody - I think it's because S seems to be growing so fast, I just want a little helpless babe again! Not yet though, not by a long shot.

A couple nights ago, I watched some video of S, from just a few weeks ago. Well, needless to say I need to get my backside down the gym again. I was shocked at how awful I looked, particularly when I bent down and my arse ERUPTED from my trousers. erk! NOT a pretty sight. DH had obviously noticed though, as he was trying to NOT film the horrendous mountain overflowing my jeans. Some swift editing needed I think...

Hope you had a nice poo Wilkie

theUrbanDryad · 05/10/2007 19:31

evening all - well it's been another neventful day in the Urban household. i didn't get on 5 live this morning. i wanted to tell Claire Verity that when she said "Babies don't need to be cuddled, they need to be left alone to grow," what she'd obviously done was mistaken babies for potatoes. if you substitute the word "babies" for "potatoes" it all makes perfect sense.

Potatoes don't need to be cuddled, they need to left alone to grow.

see?

WizardofWilkdom · 05/10/2007 20:15

UD - PMSL. You are funny. I haven't seen it but think it would upset me too much.

Cried at the news today - you may have seen it - Lincolnshire couple had accident and their LandRover went into the River Withern with all 7 kids in. Four of the tiny children died. They showed the funeral on the TV and it was awful

Jodie - poor Ethan am dreading J getting chickenpox

LadyTophamHatt · 05/10/2007 20:24

jodie, where do you think Ethan cought it from? has he got a ot of spots? give him abath in bicarbonate soda. it dries the stops out faster
Its unusual for the baby to get it first when the older ones haven't had it. IME anyway

Ds1+2 had it when I was pg with ds3.

Shimmer · 05/10/2007 21:48

Evening all. Been a fairly relaxing day here. Freddie is finally over his cold and generally a lot more cheerful Confirmed my start date back at work from 23rd October, so I am determined to enjoy my last full 2 and a half weks with F and have lots of fun outings and lots of playing and not get fustrated with him at all

Poor Ethan Jodie. Hope he recovers quickly.

UD I saw that Claire Verity has been "uninvited" from speaking at the Baby Show at Earls Court! I just really hope that BUB and all this negative publicity that CV is getting will put any potential clients OFF hiring her rather than bring her to more (stupid) peoples attention!

Ratfly I'm with you... a tiny bit broody but really not ready for another one just yet. It's WAAAAAY too soon for me. Although... I did meet 3 goregous little 10 week olds the other day and felt a momentary pang of 'ahhhhhhhhhh i want one'... but luckily it passed fairly quickly.

Note to self: NEVER try on jeans in Primark.

Shimmer · 05/10/2007 21:54

Anyone got any suggestions for where DP, F and I can go on holiday in Feburary?? I'd quite like it to be somewhere warmer than UK but not too far so F can sit on our laps on the flight so we don't have to pay for another seat()! Do you think a 13 month old would be bored stiff on a beachy type holiday?

LAL you're the travel agent aren't you? Want do you reckon??
