Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Lizzzombie · 28/09/2007 13:03

LaL you are very organised.

UD - yes, I think your biology explanation is correct....but, I think women who are infertile can also ovulate.
...UD are you pg?

Wilkie · 28/09/2007 13:30

Nope - you ovulate about 14 days before your period. But if you are ovulating then yes you are potentially fertile.

Why you ask? Not another pregnancy scare? MrsUD you need to sort out some contraception!!!!!!

ratfly · 28/09/2007 14:31

ud that is a very interesting post... we are all on tenterhooks. do you think you are pg?

ratfly · 28/09/2007 14:32

and wilkie is right -14 days. but infertile women dont ovulate, though they can have periods which aren't due to ovulation... (i tend to get ovulation periods and random periods, just to make my life more interesting)

ratfly · 28/09/2007 15:39

i have uploaded pics of the original ratfly.

theUrbanDryad · 28/09/2007 15:49

i thought i might be getting my period, but i feel ok now, had a bit of spotting earlier.

Wilkie - don't you remember i'm on the Progesterone only pill, we had conversation about it the other night!

anyway, i used to have periods when i was on the other type of pill, but i wasn't fertile. think it has to do with the oestrogen levels in the body, doesn't it??

Lizzzombie · 28/09/2007 15:51

when I was on the POP I had dodgy periods.
so pleased I'm not on it anymore.
freaky weird.

Wilkie · 28/09/2007 19:28

UD - I can barely remember my husband's name (my brain is shot to pieces post-pregnancy) so I apologise for forgetting ours MSN convo. My cousin got pg on POP cos she kept forgetting to take it within the three hour time slot. oops.

Met up with another MNer today who I have met with a few times now Mimi03 - she is lovely - I think I have found another great fwend in Lincoln. WAHOO!

Off to Andover tomorrow for a family wedding - leaving J with the PILs! Eek.

Have decided to delete my photos off my profile. I want to be anonymous on the rest of the site - I have quite a few people I know who come on here and I don't want them finding me

DH has named our Platys in the aquarium. We have Derek, Tracey and Sharon , then Fudge, Ursula and Kylie. Bless.

Wilkie · 28/09/2007 19:35

OK, I've changed my photos to 'Mumsnet Mates' - can any of you see them?

eandh · 28/09/2007 19:53

nope no pics here (or maybe I am not your mate double )

VinoRouge · 28/09/2007 20:46

No good asking me to check pics wilkie cos I can never see any

Ace day with my mate and Ellen was on form but nightmare journey back the low point of which was me throwing hot soup all over ellens feet in the services during our 3.5 hour journey home that should take 90mins max. I was relieved to get home!

I must make a note of what my secret santa person likes......

LAL I am impressed you are present shopping already. I ordered a nativity tree decoration set the other night and have started making a list of present ideas so suppose I have kind of started.

I have red wine and chocolate on the sofa with me yippee

Am trying to decide whether to invite my first ever boyf (the one who popped my cherry) to be my facebook friend

eandh · 28/09/2007 20:51

oooo vin I am off to facebook to trace ex boyfriends now

Wilkie · 28/09/2007 21:29

Only one of mine on there and he was just a shag - all of his mates are pretty girls.

Vino - wouldn't do that - could be opening a can of worms??!!?

EAH - of course you are my mate dumbass!

canmummy · 28/09/2007 22:11

Is facebook ok to use? I get worried my e-mail is displayed so will get weirdos strangers e-mailing me (as I share my addy with dh don't think he'd be impressed). I did join the other day but got paranoid as I only had 1 friend so looked like a billy-no-mates!

I've had a lovely day at a spa today. It was a christmas present from mil that I only just got chance to take. It was a last treat for me before starting back to work next week.

Vino - lucky you with wine and chocs, can you pass me some down the connection?

Wilkie - know what you mean about pictures. I feel uneasy having picures that anybody can look at on display. Don't even know if anyone I know in RL comes on here

UD - pop can do allsorts to your periods and doesn't alwas stop ovulation. But if you've taken it perfectly no need to worry

Lizzzombie · 28/09/2007 23:41

canmummy - spa day sounds lovuly. very am jealous.

wilks - i have firend onsly pictures too. toomany freaks on here can look at your photos. hmm {hmm}

VinoRouge · 29/09/2007 05:24

Lizz Lizz Lizz hope day at work is not too painful after last nights boozing!

LadyTophamHatt · 29/09/2007 07:28

some new photos on profile, for you all to see.

eandh · 29/09/2007 18:29

AWWW lovely pics (seeing that one with the chocolate reminds me to put one of hattie on eating eddas chocolate muffin whilst we were on holiday)

Had a manic day worked 9-1 and someone called in sick so only 2 of us on the counter and was busy, then dh picked me up but had to take him straight to footie and then do the food shop with e and h in tow

Exhaust fell of the car on the way home so need to ring garage on monday and then it was all manic getting their tea ready whilst I put shopping away so have finally sat down now. Jacket potatos in oven plus have steak on the griddle ready to cook and a huge green mushroom salad I have made yum yum

LadyTophamHatt · 29/09/2007 19:58

You've been a talkative bunch today!!

Sorry I didn;t come back to the shop to get my tits measured Lizz. We got abit carried away woith teh wine and I was a bit to scared to come back incase it made me show my miniscule paps to the whol e of brighton.

Next time you have to come to a brighton meet up. we had a FAB time, althoug I now have the most horrific onion breath...and a hangover.

I didn't even know you could get a hanover without going to sleep...

eandh · 29/09/2007 20:41

I am such a bad mummy - look at 2nd picture on my profile taken approx 6pm tonight

canmummy · 29/09/2007 20:54

EandH - that is so cute! Dd1 fell asleep a lot like that (whereas dd2 never bloody slept!!! and dd3 sleeps like a dream when you lay her in her cot ) And how clean is your kitchen floor?????

Yes where has everyone been today? I've ventured onto facebook but not found many friends yet.

I'm waiting for dh to ring me from America then I'm off to bed as I'm knackered being here on my own with them.

Shimmer · 29/09/2007 22:04

HIIIIIII! Miss me? We got back for the Lake District yesterday and am sitting on the sofa now eating pizza and trying to catch up with all the chatter from the last 10 days. I'm just up to Wilkie's tampax story! Sorry Wilkie but but PMSL! But thought I'd better write a quick post before it gets too late

We had an absolutely fab time in the lakes. It was my first time and i loved it. Only downside was F getting his (frst ever!!) cold a couple of days before we left. It's made himpretty miserable and he hasn't been eating or sleeping well at all. Both very unusual for him! He was definitely a bit better today and managed 2 small meals but I have braced myself for another rocky night I've been swinging between feelng really sorry for the poor snotty chap and then really irritated with him because he 's SO fussy and whiny.

OK... gonna try and finish reading posts before bed.

Shimmer · 30/09/2007 10:22

Hmmm a quiet Sunday morning on here. Hope you're all doing nice things. Things are not so nice here, Freddie's cold seems to be getting worse rather than better and he's really really grumpy today and coughing quite a bit now too. Even thinking about taking him to the docs tomorrow. Is there really any point though if it's just a cold??

I'm going to boots in a while to look for something to help him feel a bit better. Anyone with experience of baby colds know what might help?? He is completely rubbish at taking medicine though, i tried to give him some capol a few days ago and he screamed his head off and spat it everywhere! Anyone know if its ok to mix it in with food? Of course he might be able to taste it and won't eat it, but i reckon it might be worth a shot....

geoRGEEweasley · 30/09/2007 10:38

hi shimmer, welcome back
quick post as lo is on my knee trying to type too

she has had her first bad cold this last week and it has been hard. felt so awfukl for her not being able to help and compounded by her regular nightr wakings making me tired. she has been soo clingy. she 's only just on tyhe mend after 8 daysand still v snotty. did consider taking her to docs but decided unkess new symtoms developed oor she got a fever not to bother.

geoRGEEweasley · 30/09/2007 10:39
