April 2007 - As 6 months has passed, a time to reflect on just how lucky we are

It's easy to forget just how lucky we are to have beautiful healthy children

Our thoughts are with Vio and her family

And I'm sure we're all thinking of those that have been absent lately, and hoping that they know they can return to us if they need us at any time, no questions asked

PINIONS, SMOLE, MUMINA..., NUTTY, OCTO, (AND ANYONE ELSE I'VE MISSED)...........

sorry, feeling soppy

Morning,
Lovely to see Yvie and mmk. Pillock I have emailed you too.

Just a thought but if we raise more than enough for flowers could we donate the reast to DEBRA, the EB charity?

StealthPolarBear · 13/09/2007 08:19

Morning
liath, good idea about DEBRA
T has just projectile vomited again, please tell me it's not a bug again

geordiemacminx · 13/09/2007 08:21

maveta, we going through exactly the same here, C went down at 8, woke up at 1 didnt go back down til 3 and was up again at 5. Been the same for the past 10days - just hope that its a growth spurt. The night before last he had 9oz bottle before bed, then decided he was still hungry so had another 6oz.... 15oz!!!!! He slept a bit longer, til 3 but then was widen awake...We ave tried introducing some baby rice but it doesnt tend to make much difference, although strangely he isnt feeding as much during the day.

You have my sympathies re tiredness, its a nightmare once you back into the habit of getting almost a full night.

mmk · 13/09/2007 09:09

morning all

I have your email Geordie and others. Have spoken to hospice re flowers, will now talk to florist.

It is lovely that so many have wanted to donate.

does anyone want to edit the card wording?

geordiemacminx · 13/09/2007 10:02

thanks mmk, wo and I are sending flowers too. Maybe include James' daddy? Martin?

mammyjo · 13/09/2007 10:06

Morning all. Mmk, will email you asap. How do you want the money sent? I have paypal, or can do a cheque?

Maveta, dont really know what to suggest. I have had weeks and weeks of F waking around 3 times every night and it is so draining. The last 4 nights she has only woken once so I am really hoping she is getting over it!!

Back to work for me tomorrow So miserable about it, have shed many tears this week Feel like such an arse, am only working 7.5 hours a week fgs!

runnyhabbit · 13/09/2007 10:09

morning

Maveta - W has been going through the same thing for the past 2/3 wks (sorry, you really didn't want to hear that, lol) The only way we've got sleep is by co-sleeping. But tbh honest, I don't get the good quality deep sleep cos I'm worried me or dh might squash him! Otoh, it means that W does sleep through (one feed maybe) and is in a better mood through the day iyswim.

mmk - lovely to see you How can I donate?

must dash - we're off to meet mammyjo & ffion for coffee and cake.

mammyjo · 13/09/2007 10:12

See you soon!!

CaptainDippy · 13/09/2007 11:16

Morning - just caught up quickly - but sooooo lovely to see you back again MMK! Hello! I never knew about your terrible loss either I am so very sorry you have had to go through that - all you have said and the poem you posted have made me cry ..... beautiful, just beautiful - Your 3 precious little children are so very blessed to have you as their mummy. xxxx Would love to contribute to the flower fund for Vio and family - will email E ......

Erm. Mind blank. Can't remember a thing. Need to go and tidy my house a bit before the youngest 2 wake up .....

elkiedee · 13/09/2007 11:26

mammyjo and runny, hope you have (or are having as I type this) a lovely time.

mmk, like mammyjo, was wondering about how you want to collect the money.

Morning to everyone else.

tcmummy · 13/09/2007 11:57

morning (just)!

mmk - lovely to see you again, got all choked up reading your story. You sound a very special family and a very happy mummy!

lol at laying breakfast table discussion. No organisation here either!

maveta at crappy night.

Can't remember anything else!

T had his 1st lot of jabs yesterday (late I know! I held off as I was bf, but with going to Portugal next week I though we better get the 1st lot done.) He was really poorly last night and in the end just screamed himself to sleep without even having a feed. It was v upsetting I did give him a dream feed when we went up to bed though so at least there was something in his little tum for the night.

dh is officially on duty with T today and I am meant to be starting back on the old PhD. Ahhhhh... And - of course - it's now 12 and I'm just catching up on mn! Slap me someone...

Other big disappointment of the morning was I'd ordered a Kaiser sheepskin buggy snuggle for winter and it smells really sheepy! Sounds obvious but the rug I got from John Lewis is treated so it doesn't. I can't stand the smell! Hung around lots of farms when I was a lass and never seemed to get used to it!

tcmummy · 13/09/2007 11:59

SPB - fingers crossed it's NOT a bug again!! xx

morning elkie

CaptainDippy · 13/09/2007 12:06

Oh yes - I LOL @ laying breakfast table discussion too - More like laying ON the breakfast table in this hosue cos I am so bloomin' tired!!!!!!

Slap me someone - I need to motivate myself to actually DO something today ..... ....

mmk · 13/09/2007 12:11

just did a long message and lost it!

Anyway, forgot what I was saying, oh yes.

Flowers all ordered, and organised. A medium sized posy, all white with some blue ribbon. You can pay by Pal pal or cheque. They will be delivered to the hospice today, and go on the car tomorrow am.

Shall I mention costs and donations here?

Thank you all for your lovely welcomes and kind words. You'll never know that I prayed for each of the babies to arrive safe and sound. Someone said 'last one turn out the lights' and I so felt like that. Everyone had gone, and I just breathed a sigh of relief that mostly, all was well, and I turned out the light.

I didnt want anyone to know what had happened to us, I didn'twant to scare anyone while we were all waiting for the babies to arrive.
I lived with our loss because I know that even babies who die, need a mummy while they are here, and I was chosen to be a mummy for Jared.

mmk · 13/09/2007 12:12

captain, for a moment I thought you were going to say you were going to do something else whilst laying on the table....ah we remember those days..

tcmummy · 13/09/2007 12:13

perhaps we should give each other a big motivational slap CD!

tcmummy · 13/09/2007 12:17
