Sorry to disappear, had to feed
Have texted you back - really hope he's OK
Am feeling mostly fine but tummy a bit bad today Mostly am just sick of feeling ill! T is fine, thank you for asking.
Does any one else feel that we are all having a run of bad luck at the moment? From minor niggles like mine to serious ones that others are having

nappynuttynormabutty · 02/09/2007 12:24

Leaky - sorry you had such a crap night. Hope you get some chance to catch up on sleep.

Luce - sorry to hear about your dh. Hope it's not too serious and he's ok. Hope the dc get better soon too.

Katy - oh no, a bad tummy again...you poor thing. We do seem to be having a bit of bad luck at the moment don't we?

StealthPolarBear · 02/09/2007 12:27

oi young lady - GET STUDYING!

nappynuttynormabutty · 02/09/2007 12:40

Have bought new washer!!! Getting delivered on Thursday. Hopefully getting an organic veg box too...if we get round to sorting it.

zazas · 02/09/2007 13:13

Hello Everyone! Sorry but I have been off the thread for a couple of weeks SO no chance of catching up.....I hope everyone is OK????

Sympathies to all that are feeling sick / down or worn out! Maybe it is the time of year?

I seem to also be in that cycle - S has had a tummy bug for the last 2 days - both ends, charming! Poor wee thing has just been dozing and moaning continiously. So I slept with her last night, half awake while DH was banished downstairs. As DH has a bad back and can hardly carry the baby - that really helped things!

Meanwhile the 4 'big' kids need to get back to school. I think we have all had enough downtime and need some structure. I have loved the lack of routine but the constant feeding and cleaning is relentless. That with the crap weather - hmmm, now why did I leave NZ!

Idreamofchocolate · 02/09/2007 13:26

Hi Zazas - yes I'm rather looking forward to the routine of school again, although getting the 3 of us clean, fed, dressed and out of the door on time in the mornings can be an utter nightmare. Em has been a bit of a PITA on numerous occasions over the summer, and I have found her to be very hard work and exhausting (sorry to the 1st timers, and you thought coping with a baby was hard work!).

Luce, WCL, Pesha, Dippy, Katy and all those suffering from sickness, feeling down, sick other halfs, DCs etc. my sympathies go out to you, and I just hope the new week brings better health, both mental and physical.

I can join the sick ones on here as am today suffering from dreadful stomach cramps and bouts of running to the loo. Great. Feeling a lot better this afternoon than I did earlier, probably due to the Imodium I took. So we're having a slobby day (dh at work). Em and I have just watched Jumanji, and Em is still in her jimjams, which she thinks is great. S asleep in her room and I'm just wondering if I could get away with a quick catnap too. Am getting rather concerned/pissed off at my constant stomach problems. I've made a big assumption it's IBS, but I've been following a very strict diet whereby I've cut out all foods which are typical IBS triggers for the last week, and I wake up in agony this morning. A visit to the Drs for me this week I think .

StealthPolarBear · 02/09/2007 14:19
Sad
nappynuttynormabutty · 02/09/2007 16:04

Zazas & idoc - sorry to hear you're both having problems too. Hope it improves for everyone soon...

Well dh wasn't out for long...got to the swimming pool and they said the baby pool wasn't open cos their staff had phoned in sick

Means I haven't studied either cos I thought I'd get the veg ready for tea and hoover first. .

Sexonlegs · 02/09/2007 17:32

I am back from me hols!!!

God, lots to catch up on. I am afraid I can't remember everything, but....

Maveta, really hope your dad is ok and gets the op he needs. My thoughts are with you and you family.

LuceWheel, hope your dh is ok, and sorry to hear you also have poorly dc's.

WCL, poor ds having chicken pox. Hope he is ok. B had them at 7 months, and I have to say I am soooooo pleased she had them early, as I can imagine the drama if she had them now!

Elkie, hope your dp's mum is ok and you are coping ok with D. It is daunting I know.

SPB, really sorry to hear you ended up in hospital last week. Nightmare. Are they doing tests and stuff to see what is up?

Emmy, hope you are feeling better too hun. IBS is horrid - dh gets this.

Big waves to everyone else.

Our holiday was fantastic. The weather was incredible which helped, and it was lovely to have proper family time. Dreading dh going back to work and the same old same old routine returning.

Feel pants today too. Diabolical period pain, and sorry for tmi, but really heavy period. I would never come back as a woman!

No weaning here yet either, although K seems to get v pissed off when she sees us eating. She bangs her hand on the table and licks her lips. She also seems v bored with her milk and messes about with her bottle.

Anyway, big love and see you all later. xx

StealthPolarBear · 02/09/2007 17:41

We went to the Isle of Wight, and stayed in Freshwater on the West coast. It is so lovely - really unspoilt, and we stayed in a lovely house with a massive garden, just 10 minutes from the sea. It feels like you are going abroad because of having to go on the ferry!!!

oooggs · 02/09/2007 20:32

we are going here with our caravan

Sexonlegs · 02/09/2007 20:32

Ooogs that looks fab fun. When are you off?

oooggs · 02/09/2007 20:34

wednesday (when the schools go back ) won't be able to do that next year.

we went same time last year and it was empty so we had the pool & play stuff to ourselves. Also been local we stay on site alot as we don't need to do attractions as we can do them anytime.

Bet Becky is excited about school
