Morning all. Just off to catch up, back in a bit

StealthPolarBear · 06/09/2007 10:45

Morning mammyjo

mammyjo · 06/09/2007 12:06

Wow, it has taken me all this time to catch up!

Bubblez, good to see you again. Glad you are well

Pesha, hope you found a top, and good luck for the interview tomorrow.

SPB, really pleased that T has regained his weight. Must be reassuring for you!

KHIN, congrats on your comment being published! We are not worthy of chatting to such a famous person

Leaky, not sure if you are around today, but Happy Birthday!!

Octo, good to see you back.

Am off to see a friend (in the loosest sense of the word) next weekend. She is someone that I met a few years ago, not long before ds was born. She used to live fairly close to me but just over a year ago she moved away. It now takes about an hour to get to her new house. She has two children, both around the same age as my two, and another on the way. When her second was born I lent her quite a lot of ds's things, and I struggled to get them back off her before having dd. She lent me one thing after dd was born, and has asked for it back already saying that someone else needs it. I know that I shouldnt let this bother me, but I feel that our friendship is all give from my side and all take from her. In my mind, that is not what friendship is about. Its a two way street IYKWIM.

Sorry, boring rant, but needed to get that off my chest!

CD, get your bottom back on here lady! >> to you if you need them. Dont know what happened between you and Ellie (have I missed something?) but hope you get back here soon. Ellie, hope you are ok too

runnyhabbit · 06/09/2007 12:31

a very quick "hello"

weather is lush

am in a very "houseproud" mood today (not like me at all) and so far have put washing on and its now drying, loaded and put dishwasher on, scrubbed my kitchen floor (ok, kitchen not v big, but I was on hands and knees giving it a proper clean)
and I've had a shower, dried hair properly (instead of leaving "au natrel") and put some slap on! to some you, this may be a normal morning - for me, its a miracle (don't do housework)

so proud of myself, but no doubt I'll need a lie down later on

hope you're all well (haven't caught up)

byeeeee

mammyjo · 06/09/2007 12:33

Morning runny! Glad you are ok. I never put slap on and hair is always au naturel! (although you have seen how short my hair is, by the time I got a hair dryer out it would be dry anyway!). I have wiped the bathroom over today, and thats about it. Have had a lady round to wax my manly moustache and tidy up my brows!

runnyhabbit · 06/09/2007 12:38

oooohh, mammyjo, you'll have to give me her number. I've been looking for someone to do maintenance style thingys. Would love to have them professionally down. Does she do bikini lines?

WestCountryLass · 06/09/2007 12:42

Sorry been so rubbish at keeping on top of things. Leo still spotty but not as unwell as he had been, had a few days of him being very feverish and grizzly but we have now officially done the pox so we will be pox free in the future!

I've got someone coming to look at my house this afternoon, only had a valuation yesterday so all happening a bit too quickly. No houseproud moments here though as I am making a stand and deliberately not tidying up as am knackered and I don't think it makes a difference. We shall see!!!!

Oh, and yes, I am still BFing. No food has passed his lips yet either! He is 5 months just gone so will be trying him in a few weeks if he shows signs.

mammyjo · 06/09/2007 12:50

Good to see you WCL.

Dont know if any of you clothies would be interested in these

mammyjo · 06/09/2007 13:53

StealthPolarBear · 06/09/2007 13:58

nappynuttynormabutty · 06/09/2007 14:06

mammyjo · 06/09/2007 14:26

Phew, thought I was completely alone and chatting to myself!

nappynuttynormabutty · 06/09/2007 14:28

No, I'm always here...I have no life

StealthPolarBear · 06/09/2007 15:03

Has your washing machine arrived butty? How's your throat feeling?

nappynuttynormabutty · 06/09/2007 15:05

No washing machine delivery guy has just called, gonna be 1hr - 1.5hrs....my veg has arrived tho...

nappynuttynormabutty · 06/09/2007 15:07

Oh and throat still sore.

StealthPolarBear · 06/09/2007 15:08

typical - after you wait in all day!
Sorry to hear your throat's sore still, have you tried ice cream? Even if it doesn't help it's still nice!

nappynuttynormabutty · 06/09/2007 15:09

don't have any ice cream ...could do with ice cream and choc today!!!

BigOnion · 06/09/2007 15:12

On my way!

mammyjo · 06/09/2007 15:51

Does your veg look nice? Where did you order it from?

mammyjo · 06/09/2007 15:53

Meant to ask, does anyone use avent bottles? If so I have two that have been used once each. Free to a good home if anyone is interested!

nappynuttynormabutty · 06/09/2007 15:53

I got it from farmaround north (they also do them in london). Veg looks lovely, tho not really enough if there was more than 2 of you iyswim. Only one onion too...and we use a lot of onions normally. The fruit looked lovley and fresh. I was pretty pleased with it but not sure if it was quite enough iyswim.

nappynuttynormabutty · 06/09/2007 15:54

Oooh and what size avent bottles? I use them. If they're the 9oz ones I'll take them???

StealthPolarBear · 06/09/2007 15:55

Well BigOnion might have brought some onions!
