LWandLottie · 19/09/2007 14:17

I PASSED MY EXAMS!

scootermum · 19/09/2007 14:24

Wonderful news!!Well done you!!God you must be a right brain to pass them after having a baby in the middle of your revision!I feel quite proud of you!(welling up emoticon)xx

LWandLottie · 19/09/2007 14:51

Oh thank you my lovely Scoot! Trust me I am no brain, am rather puzzled though as I scored my second highest set of marks for these exams and they were my worst modules, and exam based! I'm so crap at exams and have pretty much failed everyone I've ever done so was a bag of nerves doing these exams lol! Finding it rather hard to contain my squeels of happiness!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 19/09/2007 15:05

Well done LW, clever you. Did I read somewhere that you are not going back this year though? Are you having some time out of uni?

Well it just goes to show..never underestimate the determination of a girl when the odds are stacked against her..now will I crack open the virtual champagne, (alight its Cava-am on half pay nowadays but we can pretend), or is it too early in the day?

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2007 16:44

Well done Lwatkins! Clever thing you xx

SOH i jusy posted on the other thread with this...Oh good grief i have just seen this having been out all day. Think once you and M are over the worst you need to come and stay here for a break.

TYG and i were saying only today that we intend to turn up on your doorstep one day so your shyness is overcome When you can talk again please give me your number so i can phone you. I can talk to J if you like re: feeding help.

Lots of love to all three of you xxxxx

In case you are not redaing the other thread anymore.

We had a fabby meetup There were tons of us. All the babies were impeccably behaved, if only Hug's was > Many have witnessed first hand the nightmare that is my 4th son. Of course he slept 5 mins after i left all the way to the school run!!! Gagh!!

We all had lunch and cake i think Could have stolen the very cute Jasper, he has the most scrumptious cheeks i have ever seen B and TYG's A are going to get married ive decided, she is delicious and has hair Not so little Arlen as he will now be known as is HUGE! How could he have been that teeny, tiny baby Obviously he has been very well looked after by his lovely mummy!

AM's Ella had her lucnch and was then transformed in to a different baby, clearly she likes her food and is sooooo dainty with it! Little George was so quiet and very well behaved too as was Alana. I could have snuggled them all, except i was legging it after Hug's all the time, boob out mostly too .....

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 19/09/2007 17:08

Thank you all. Started another health thread asking for help with M. She is struggling to feed so much. I can't bear to watch her scream. How long is a virus supposed to last?

Lupins71 · 19/09/2007 18:32

SOH really sorry you are having a hrd time atm - if i were closer i would be round in a shot

Mum2G · 19/09/2007 19:52

Hi all

Hope tommorrow is a better day for you SOH!

Really enjoyed today, what a lovely bunch of ladies, thanks for making me feel so welcome, I was a bit nervous as a newbie! It was great to meet other babes the same age as G too. When we got home he went to bed after his bottle and slept for two hours!

I think i skipped the lunch bit and just had cake!

and to those that asked no i wasn't analysing you, just enjoying having coffee cake and a giggle ....but in my professional opinion you're all crackers...

right off to watch ocean's twelve, and swoon alternately at brad pitt and george clooney!

cameroonmama · 19/09/2007 20:21

I was soooo disappointed that you were all so normal, I was expecting a few lunatics It was so lovely to meet you all, and Hugs was just so not naughty but deliciously cute, an intrepid explorer and so quiet compared to mine DD was most impressed by his name and announced she wanted one As for the babies, they were all so adorable and cute and well behaved, J was definitely the drooliest though! It made me feel all broody..

We were 10 mins from home when there was an accident and we got stuck in a jam, J was not impressed but I think the lorry drivers had a field day when I had to stop for a nork break

Well done LW on your exams.

Scoot, great news about your move but sorry you are all so sick, yeuk.

SOH I posted on your other thread, hopefully you will both be over the worst soon, did you go to a and e? I wish there was something we could do to help.

aprilmeadow · 19/09/2007 20:38

evening

Was lovely to meet some more mumsnetters. Hugo is an angel compared to Jackanory, Beau is adorable, Jasper & Arlen were in competition for the most yummy cheeks, Alana was so well behaved, George was such a cutie and Aoife was just beautiful. Its ture Ella was a different baby after having her food

SOH, you poor thing, what a tough time you are having at the moment. You had better get curtain watching as you may well end up with LG&T & TYG on your doorstep - i heard the plotting

aprilmeadow · 19/09/2007 20:51

I have stolen a cardi!! TYG is it yous? It's a white chunky knit cardi - next 3-6mths

scootermum · 19/09/2007 21:10

Well you can count me in on SOH watch..I have discovered I can get to Norwich on a train from Ware..am seriously considering staging some sort of intervention..

Glad you all had such a lovely time, if of course a wee bit

Well off to bed as feel like death warmed up and am anticipating another full on day of cleaning up sick again tomorrow..oh the glamour..

Have just watched Supernanny as well and scared self rigid...that girl was only 9!omigod, think L may well end up like that...(that said I say that every week )

Pebblemum · 19/09/2007 22:25

Evening ladies

Congrats LW on the exam results

Thank you for the wine MrsJB (and LG&T for bringing it lol). Im sat here with a nice (big)glass of it.

It was great meeting some of you today, Starbucks didnt know what had hit it, all those babies and buggies lol

Am most annoyed, thought id brought myself a lovely pair of crop trousers for my holiday only to find that I had picked up the wrong size, the hanger said my size but the actual pants were two sizes smaller. I did try sqeezing in them but no joy so I know have to break the news to Dh that i have to go back to change them lol.

When i got home I received a text message from my friend who had her baby on Sunday, the poor little thing has been transfered to Alder Hey for a bowel op. My friend is beside herself with worry. She was unable to go with her because she has been very ill since the Emergency C (she had to have a blood tranfusion and is having injections every day) Against the hospital's wishes she has discharged herself so she can be at home with her other children while her DH is with the baby but she feels useless, obviously she would rather be with Scarlette. Ive told her im here for her but wish i could do more, she lives in Wales so i cant just pop round to check she's ok

Right im off to try to sort out my emails, for some reason I cant access Yahoo on my pc, can do it through my mobile so it cant be a problem with their site Wish me luck!

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2007 22:31

on the cute Hug's.... Did any of you actually see him steal the shoes for Timberland and proceed to walk them (on his hands)out of the shop????? Blimmin nightmare!

All the babies were so lovely, tea and cake at mine next week then?

SOH i so hope you have a better night. Jonah had Bronchiolitis at 4 months and was hospitalised for 5 days. It was hellish and he too had a very sore throat, he would feed little and often. Usually in discomfort. It was however, amazing how quickly he recovered once he seemed to have turned the corner. Please call if you need a chat, it is soul destroying to see your baby in pain. Lots of love to the 3 of you and lots of well baby vibes for tonight too xxxx

Poor TYG didnt get home till 745 and she left at 4! Bad journey home for her, hope you are all tucked up in bed now. xxx

Night all xxx

largeginandtonic · 19/09/2007 22:31

Oh yeah...pics of the meet on my profile!!!

MKG · 20/09/2007 02:37

Let me just say that I am totally of your meetup. I am sitting here realizing that I will probably never meet any of you, and you are all together. Better off, I would probably be the lunatic of the group anyway.

cameroonmama · 20/09/2007 07:44

Poor TYG, what a nightmare.

I went into Timberland afterwards and I saw a handwritten notice stuck to a pillar by the front window display saying 'do NOT touch the shoe display' i wonder why they had written that

Pebble, I am sorry to hear about your friend, how dreadful, fingers crossed they are both on the road to recovery soon.

largeginandtonic · 20/09/2007 08:14

PMSL Cam, like he could read it....

Im up and have all six ready early!!! [astounded smug emotion]

largeginandtonic · 20/09/2007 08:18

MKG i fully intend to darken your doorstep one day, i have friends in Detroit and one in Canada, Toronto. How many millions of miles is that away from you?

Forgot to say yesterday a huge Hello to Charley, we dont mind a bit that you dont post often, it is just lovely to hear that you and the edible George are doing well.

Have a pic to upload today of Beau scoffing 2 oz of booby milk and baby rice. Apparantly he is ready and nearly had the spoon off me, im very pleased distraught.

SuperMonkey · 20/09/2007 08:35

Glad you all had a fun meet up .

It appears I was being unfair to my HV because when I asked ber about weaning the Boy she was all for it. So we're well into it now, he's ploughing his way through pear and rice for dinner, sweet potato and rice for tea. She also said I should introduce meat straight away so that he doesn't reject it later - he just seems so little to be eating chicken. It's really helped his sleeping too, 8pm to 7am with me waking him for a feed at 11pm .

Decided I'm going to have a constructive day today, which is unusual for me - going to clear the freezer and sort out the airing cupboard. But then again, it's sunny outside, so perhaps we'll just go for a walk.

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 20/09/2007 08:59

Thanks for being so lovely. I am just about at the end of my tether. I just need M to get better and to have some sleep. Somebody, anybody please just reassure me that a virus can last over a week. Everybody keeps telling me 'oh it should have been over in a couple of days'. I seriously feel like she is never, ever going to be a well, content baby again. She wakes every half an hour for very small and uncomfortable feeds. Still has wet nappies and has gained 12oz in the last fortnight so I presume she's hydrated and feeding sufficiently.

Please for the love of all that is pure and holy somebody tell me that this will end. I'm exhausted. Still no voice, can't swallow, have had a bowl of soup in three days and it was like glass shards. Am fed up.

Moan moan moan.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 20/09/2007 09:35

SOH I feel really sad for you, it will end she and you will get better.
I just wish one of us was round the corner to come and give you a hand. As hard and uncomfortable as it is try to drink and eat little and often, you know as well as any of us that you need your strength.

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 20/09/2007 09:59

I'm falling apart. She won't stop sobbing.
