Poor you cam....

Abbylou, Sorry it was my mind working overtime, but I had to put something before the filthy minds of lg&t or SOh got a hold of it.

Oh I forgot, I cried too........Well it was sad, I know it's not real but still....

aprilmeadow · 16/09/2007 20:28

what happened? i missed it......

cameroonmama · 16/09/2007 21:23

it featured a couple of babies April, one tiny one who died and one bigger one who nearly died (but there was NO WAY that baby was 10 months old, more like 4 ) All too emotional for hormonal mummies like us.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 16/09/2007 21:26

It was Nathans daughter, Angel that did it for me, I agree far too emotional! Can't even begin to imagine.......

cameroonmama · 16/09/2007 21:33

..and when the woman put her hand over the baby's face to stop it crying, I just wanted her to stop

I need to get out more

Am going out tomorrow to buy a Quinny Buzz so I can leave the chassis in the car and clip the car seat to it when I go shopping. Fed up hauling the Mountain Buggy around. Too big and heavy. Perfect for walks; crap for putting in the boot.

As a stroller, the quinny is a bit rubbish, given that it doesn't appear to recline, but I reckon I'll ebay it when she outgrows the Maxi-Cosi and buy a Maclaren or summat. Good thing I decided to stick with eco-disposable nappies, because if I'm like this with buggies, I'd be a nightmare with real nappies.

I'm impressed with Ella, April. I get 5 hours out of A some nights, but never more than that. I never manage to be asleep for those 5 hours either. I went to bed at 1am last night and dream-fed her, hoping I'd get the 5 hours from 1 to 6. No such luck! Had to get up at 4 and 6, knocking back some ipuprofen at the 4am, because waking up three hours into sleeping off a surfeit of red wine is not very nice.

We're getting our hallway and living & dining room painted over the next two weeks. Yey! Picked out a nice pale gold colour for the hall but am agonising over the other room. It's such a massive job; I'm terrified of getting it wrong.

juliewoolie · 17/09/2007 08:54

tyg, I have the quinny buzz - although lovely and comfy for my little man it is bloody cumbersome weighs a ton seat has to face a certain way before it folds and takes up almost the entire boot space and we have a massive boot. It does recline right back although as A is still quite small have had to buy a foam wedge to put in it so the seat flattens out a bit.

See what you think, just passing on my thoughts looking to ebay it soon and get a mclaren techno easiers for the tubes and buses.

juliewoolie · 17/09/2007 08:56

off to try baby cinema this morning it starts at 10am have not had toget out the house so early since "I was working

Lupins71 · 17/09/2007 10:05

tyg are your sure - where does all the shopping go ???????????

Just had a real mind boggling question from my mum - my dad wants my contact details for his will, i really dont know what to do - i have no desire to see him, up until now he didnt even know he has grandchildren - but my uncle let it slip apparently, i am bloody entitled to whatever he wants to leave me, but if i give him my details i know he will show up - and i am not ready for that, certainly noway near enough water under the bridge yet - any advice on how to deal with situation greatly recieved

Mum2G · 17/09/2007 12:06

JW - i must be mad i have a regular physio appt for 8.30 am! G has had to come along in his pj's!

TYG - call me sad but i love browsing paint charts, interiors mags are my vice! I would like gold and cream in my lounge but it is small and i was worried it might make it look a bit closed in. I am going for cream brown and turquoise instead - the walls are grey at the mo which may supposed to be chic but look a bit gloomy to me!

We have decorated g's room and the spare room since we moved in, G's room is cream and aqua and the spare room is green, cream and gold - we are just finsinshing it off now so that i can set up my pc in there and start work p/t.

Dh has promised me that we will decorate the lounge and hall - all one room - in time for christmas - or should i say i made him promise!!it is annoying seeing the outline of other peoples pictures on the wall - not that i am fussy or anything!

Our baby wheels are not the best for lugging about on public transport, it is a jane slalom - the carseat/pram is blimmin heavy, and you have to take the wheels off to get it in our boot, so we may change in the future.

Mum2G · 17/09/2007 12:12

Lupin does your dad need your contact details for his will - don't know the background but could it be arranged that you are contactable through another family member or your own solicitor?

madeindevon2 · 17/09/2007 12:26

im back from hols. baby decided to come dowm with chicken pox on the last day (saturday)
today he is totally covered in them. feel so sry for him. at least i think its chicken pox
doctor told me they wont see children with suspected chicken pox. i told them hes only 15 weeks and they are around his eyes and mouth now and that concerns me.
reluctantly gave me appointment for last thing this afternoon....

freddie has regressed re sleep. in fact 1st night on hol woke up every 2 hours!? he never did that...not even in 1st week!
hes settled again to sleeping in 4 5 or 6 hours stints.... but not even close to getting a full 12 hours out of him.
might have to wean him in a months time?

largeginandtonic · 17/09/2007 12:47

Afternoon all.

Went to Wales this weekend just for Sat night. The drive is horrific from here, got back late afternoon yesterday.Lovely party though, kids really enjoyed it.

Im so tired, Beau waking again at night to so im thinking another few nights of it and i will be squishing banannas in the not too distant future.

Hugs went to playschool this morning, i stayed with him though. Beau was a wingy pant through most of it and i had to hold him so consequently he fed for about 2 hours solid. OUCH!

Glad to see you are all ok except the bloomin chicken pox! Not nice, hope he gets better soon.

SOH poor you with the croup tank too, my brother had that when he was little. I remember steam filled rooms at 3 in the morning.

TYG the quinny Zapp is the crappy not reclining one, i had it. I hated it, the fold down and open mechanism is a nightmare and you need to hands and practically be on the floor. The buzz is supposed to be better as it ihas this crazy pneumatic opening system. Spoke to DH and he said you can get a train direct to Portsmouth Harbour (right next to Gun Wharf) where we are all meeting on Wednesday, go on come along Would love to meet you both in RL

You too Cam, get the train by any means come and join us. We could take Starbucks by storm

cameroonmama · 17/09/2007 13:48

I'm coming on Wednesday, yippee! It's official - there are a chain of ladies in place to pick up the dc and look after them until I get back! I'll come by car..I take it Gunwharf is easy to find? Lups will recognise me by my Loola I have to admit I have a Mclaren Techno and it is great for buses, one handed fold and I can pick it up with one hand, reclines, fits easily in the car with space for the shopping! Not as comfy as the Loola though..

Go on TYG, join us, its not so far from London...

MID sorry about the chicken pox, hope he recovers soon.

Did Hugs enjoy his playschool?

largeginandtonic · 17/09/2007 14:04

He did Cam, i think He may struggle with the rules though.... sit down, be quiet, no toilet paddling

Hooooorrrraaaayyyyyyy you are coming! Pick up signs for historical waterfront off the M275, then see signs for Gun Wharf. Google it and print off a map and directions, very useful that gadget! Wahhoooo.... im excited can you tell

cameroonmama · 17/09/2007 14:11

Rules are for breaking

I am very excited but slightly nervous, as I am, by nature, very shy

Pebblemum · 17/09/2007 14:24

Hello ladies

I am looking forward to seeing you all Wednesday. Have arranged for dh to take ds2 to pre-school so it will just be me and Alana. So who is actually coming then, ive lost track lol?

My friend had her baby by Emergency C last night,a little girl 5lb 110z (4wks early)called Scarlet Grace. Have seen pic of her and she is so gorgeous. Also one of the mums at pre-school gave birth Saturday so we all had a good coo over her little boy. Babies babies everywhere, enough to make you broody. Seeing all the little ones makes it hit home how fast our little ones are growing. Alana will be 4months on Sat

Right have to go book a bouncy castle for ds2's party. Will try to pop back on later

MKG · 17/09/2007 15:34

Hey everyone! I haven't had time to catch up, but will try eventually. I like working, but Cruz is making me crazy in a good way. He wakes up more now, and I think it's to make up for the mommy time he missed, which makes me happy, but I go to work tired, am on my feet all afternoon/evening.

So pretty much I work, sleep, and feed Cruz. Which is not such a bad life.

aprilmeadow · 17/09/2007 16:14

The list (that i can remember) for Wed is:
Aprilmeadow
Lupins
Largegin&tonic
Cameroonmama
Mum2g
Pebblemum

Any others? Abby?

MID, oh no poor F. Maybe it was the pox that has been disturbing his sleep....?

Ella woke once last night at abiut 3.45am and then again at 8am

Have been and chosen the carpet for the upstairs of the house so will hopefully have that fitted very soon.

Been living the EBAY dream. Dh and I have shifted about 600 quids worth of stuff!! Admittitly 400 was just for his metal detector.

Mum2G · 17/09/2007 16:57
