Men heh? I agree with the developmental bit BB, J is desperate to roll over AND sit up and I remember with the other dc that they often had disrupted nights just before they mastered something 'new'. I am going to hold off weaning for another month to see what happens..

LG&T and MrsJB, how do I get a lickinlips or a bluebit?

April, sorry to hear it was tough seeing your grandad, I'm sure you absolutely made his day, seeing you and the babies.

largeginandtonic · 06/09/2007 22:40

Click on my Bluebit and you can get one, my sister did it for me. Tis great fun!

Did i miss the meetup AM? Cant find it on the meetup threads, hope i didnt

We are off to a wedding tomorrow, DH sister! Have almost packed up the car and organised 6 outfits with spares. Phin is bridesmaid, she is so excited, girlie sparkles, huge dresses and all that. Will be gone for 2 night staying in a hotel. Have to get there though, friday rushhour Portsmouth to Oxford, looking forward to that not.

A lady just had her babies (twins) on the multiples thread, Dante Angelo and Nova Rose, how cute is that?!!

Pebblemum · 06/09/2007 22:40

Well between mumsnet, ebay and facebook Im hardly off the pc lol. Found a really good friend on it last night and have spent a couple of hours tonight chatting to him. MKG · 07/09/2007 02:56

Hi, I'm starting work tomorrow and am fighting back tears because I just realized that I'm going to leave my babies behind. I think I'm going to sit here holding Cruz all night just so he knows I love him. Is it normal to enjoy your second baby more than the first?

Lupins71 · 07/09/2007 03:18

MKG good luk with the job tomorrow, Its bound to be a wrench, as for enjoying 2nd more than 1st - sorry to say but I am too, Arlen is like a dream in comparison to Willow hope tomorrow goes well

I am up at sill o clock as Arlen has develpoed a hacking cough and is bunged up with thick snot between his nose and throat and cant clear it poor love - and guess who cant find thier snot suck!!

aprilmeadow · 07/09/2007 08:08

Of course the lift is still there for you Hope you managed to get back to sleep.

MKG, good luck for your first day.

Pants night sleep here for both kiddies. Ella was up between 12&2 and ds from 5am - think he woke at half 2 as well.

largeginandtonic · 07/09/2007 09:43

Phew.. thought i missed the meetup then! Im ok any day but will have to be back in time for school pickup at 3 so a morning would be better. Gun Wharf is nice, but extra toddlers would probabaly leg it ie Hugs. But then he legs it wherever i am I will pick up Pebble too, ok Pebble?

Hope little Arlen got some sleep Lups and you!

Am packing for the wedding and tidying house so it is not a state when i come home to it on Sunday night. Well actually im on here and making an aquarium on face book Must go...close tabs....cant do it....

cameroonmama · 07/09/2007 10:01

LOL LG&T I too am making an aquarium

Enjoy the wedding..

I might be able to come to the meet up too, let me know where you all decide.

Lupins71 · 07/09/2007 10:12

ooooooooooo how exciting were going to meet people, yipppeee adult conversation at last!!

largeginandtonic · 07/09/2007 11:17

Lups im not really an adult... im an 17 year old geeky lad (one with extensive knowledge of pregnancy and childbirth)

largeginandtonic · 07/09/2007 11:18

Oh cant pull that one MrsJB has met me

Mum2G · 07/09/2007 13:18

Hi all

Count me in for the meet up, what about the week after next? Mornings are fine for me, i will leave it to you to suggest where, as i am still getting to know the area and haven't ventured much outside fareham yet.

I think Dh and i went to gunwharf just before i had G, is that where the seconds shop for next, denby, M & S are? I will look up if i can get there via bus, train. It will be cool to meet u all in person, you all look very glam on facebook! Got to go, got to get my lunch before g wakes up!

Lupins71 · 07/09/2007 13:43

lol lgt thats how i feel,

MKG · 07/09/2007 14:34

Lupins you know what my issue is, because Mateo was a much easier baby. I just enjoy holding Cruz more, maybe it's because I know how fast time will go by and I took that for granted before.

Bensonbluebird · 07/09/2007 14:36

Cam- I'm waiting for Aidan to wake up with his toes in his mouth.

MKG - I feel for you about going to work. I'm not going back for a couple of months but am already feeling gutted about leaving Aidan.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 07/09/2007 16:16

hello

MKG hope work goes ok for you. I think you do enjoy your second more, I think alot of it is because you've been there done that and are not panicking every second of every day about your capabilities as a mother. Unfortunately no.3 doesn't get alot of time so as much as I am enjoying Jorja and she is soooooo easy I don't feel I've given her much from me.

lg&t, have a lovely day tommorow, phin is going to love being a bridesmaid. She'll look gorgeous.

Jorja has seen the eye specialist this morning. Her vision is fine and he is hopeful her sticky eye will clear by the time she is one. WTF! It won't effect her eye though and if it is still a problem after she is one then they will do an op to open the canal from the tear duct, means a general though so they are not keen to do it. I thought as she'd been through that today I may as well go the whole hog so I took her for her 2nd lot of jabs and she was weighed. 14lb 4 now. Porker!

Maddie is a star, yey, had a disasterous day potty training on day 4 infact I nearly gave up but day 5 yesterday she cracked it. NO accidents, even did a poo in the potty and all of them on her own. She even pulls up and down her pants, bless (think thats an independant girl thing)H was months before he'd do it unaided. Today has been the same so far and I've stopped asking her every half hour today and she is remembering fine.

Jealous about the meet up, I'm a southerner so would be there to see you lovely ladies meeting. Lg&t is definately not a 17yr old lad, if she is she has an amazing surgeon.

Pebble have you got your wine from lg&t yet. I'd forgotten about it, if you haven't hopefully you can get it at the meet up.

cameroonmama · 07/09/2007 17:08

Fallout from the first week back at school - round one, 5 year old girl 0, mummy 1 she seems to have run out of goodness, having spent it all on being a model child at school...

Well done Maddie, ds1 is only just learning to cope with his pants!

I definately enjoyed dc number 2 much more than the first and am equally enjoying J as he seems to be so easy. Good luck MKG with the new job.

Dh is convinced the whole lot of you are 17 year old spotty geeks

scootermum · 07/09/2007 22:20

Huff huff..I want to come to the meet up..
Maybe I will venture onto facebook then if everyone else is..although I know I will end up on it all the time and be a wreck as Ive no friends

DH has returned from accounts conference but is incredibly hungover from 3 days of 'management bonding' (ie getting as drunk as poss for free and paintballing and the like). Thus he is unable to move..since he has returned I have changed all the sheets, cleaned the house, made tea, popped to Tesco, bathed both girls, read to L, sterilized and made up all the bottles and watered neighbours plants.DH on the other hand, has been asleep on the sofa!He may as well have stayed away!He is at college all day tomorrow too so no help there, hey ho..I have done rather well on my todd this week if I do say so myself and have actually quite enjoyed it..always nice to be able to watch what you want on telly..

I am loving it with my second too..With hindsight I now realise I was a nervous wreck with L..and not myself at all..this time around its great, but then M is really a dream of a baby so I am very lucky..

Will pounce on the postie in the morn my lovely Cam!

scootermum · 07/09/2007 22:23

Have just got into bed to find sheet soaking wet..L must've poured her water onto the bed earlier when I wasnt looking..yuck yuck its very soggy..what was that about having done well?I beg of you..we will have to flip the sodding mattress now!
And when Id just changed all the sheets as well!
