Sorry, couldn't think of anything witty against a background of constant whinging!

riabutterflew · 26/08/2007 22:50

that is really crap natty. WIsh I could help you, all I can say is just remember we are all here (nearly all the time!) to "listen". Can you move in your own time? What I mean is can you stay there until you find somewhere better? Do you have family who can put you up? Can the council make you a rehousing priority? (Sorry, I don't know anything useful, but maybe throwing lots of suggestions might bring up something helpful.)

How are your LOs doing?

NattyThomasandEllen · 26/08/2007 22:50

we havent paid the rent this month in protest, am keeping it as a deposit.
when we find sum where im going to up and leave and not even tell him so he loses a months rent! ha! cheap basterd wont fix anything.
yes he does have a legal obligation, but will take months to fight it thru court, and i dont need this right now so we are just going to move.

NattyThomasandEllen · 26/08/2007 22:51

council wont do squat, we arent high enough need (the woman told me on the phone that im not a single mum so i dont qualify for housing WTF!)

kids are ok, thomas is really pushing his luck at moment. think he has just realised ellen is here to stay lmao

NattyThomasandEllen · 26/08/2007 22:54

oh and my pushchair broke yesterday and had to go out and buy a second hand one cos we have no money as we need it all to move

so all in all a great week for the o'dwyer household!

NattyThomasandEllen · 26/08/2007 22:56

right i have had a rant and am now feeling better so im going to go to bed! be back in the morning

riabutterflew · 26/08/2007 23:01

glad it helped to get it off your chest.

apparently bad things always some together.

I am hoping soon there will be a big light go on at the end of the tunnel. (My BF has just had very good news that she has been waiting ages for, so maybe there has been a sift in the moon or something?)

Must go before I drink too much very cheap wine out of exhaustion (also can't make toast and be on computer at same time).

Night alll. Happy bank holiday. Rx

riabutterflew · 26/08/2007 23:03

have just realised it's bank holiday monday and I won't be a work-widow OK so we are too skint to do anything fun, but at least I won't be on my own.

Have a lovely day everyone.

daisyandbabybootoo · 26/08/2007 23:05

Aw natty, sorry things are so shitty at the moment. Our house is falling down gently around our ears and we have no money to fix things, or we start to fix something and it exposes something else that needs fixing and what started as a half hour job takes three days.

the good news is that our tennant in DHs house wants to buy it....he is waiting on the sale of his mum's house in L'pool then he'll be buying ours. Means our financial situation won't be so bad (we have scary high mortgage, which has gone up by £200 a month since we moved here in Dec 05), and I can put off going back to work till next September or thereabouts.

Right, am off to bed.

hope everyone has a good bank holiday. We're off to the Dales for a walk and a picnic, and to wear out DS...who got sent to bad at 6:45 for being a cheeky little git to all and sundry all day today and for mucking about with the cooling (but still very hot) BBQ!

bumperlicious · 27/08/2007 08:55

Morning all,

Ria, don't worry I didn't mind you being flippant! I need it to snap me out of my misery anyway.

Natty, what a shitty situation. I hope you find somewhere better.

Daisy, that's good news about your house, and the fact that you can stay off till september.

Hi DG, how are you doing? Sounds like you have your hands full!

DD broke out of of her nice sleeping pattern last nice a woke for a feed at 4.30. Fortunately DH was on duty and fed her, but I woke up at 6.30 with rock hard sore boobs - ouch, and haven't been able to get back to sleep.

I'm a work widow today unfortunately.

Morning everyone!

Morning Bumper...glad you're sounding more cheerful. Natty...that's awful. Move to Brixton! It's a great place to live!

Ah...look out the window at the lovely sunshine...now life doesn't feel so bad does it?

DD1 has learnt a new swearword this morning: oops. In my defence she did jump on my head at 6.30am....so now she's running round shouting 'goddammit' loudly. It's like living in an episode of southpark!

bumperlicious · 27/08/2007 10:26

"godammit"? That's the best you can do? I hate to compete with you for bad mother of the year BZ but DD has heard way worse than that! She is going to have a great repertoire or swearwords at her disposal, but then I did do my 2 dissertations on swearing (i kid you not!).

OP posts:
BadZelda · 27/08/2007 10:28

OH...she's also come out with 'bloody', 'bollox' and 'fucking' ;(

andiem · 27/08/2007 10:29

Thank god the weather has picked up. I am a work widow too today so am going to have doemstic day and do some spring cleaning then I can shine my domestic goddess halo.

Went to my mums for lunch yesterday and my uncle said oh my god you are so fat when he saw me I was really upset and he said it about 4 times I am chubby but size 14/16 so not enormous and I have just had a baby I felt like crying. Am resolved to start diet now if only I could just resist the chocolate cake

Hope everyone has nice plans for the day Daisy I am jealous of your walk

BadZelda · 27/08/2007 10:29

although she's not used them in context, and I carefully ignored her, so hopefully she's not using them 'as swear words' iyswim

bumperlicious · 27/08/2007 10:48

Andiem - harsh! God, 14/16 isn't fat!

If you like chocolate cake though why don't you get the cook yourself thin book?! Or just check out the website. Ignore him anyway, men just have no tact!

Hello All!
Not caught up yet (and likely won't get a chance to) but DS's naming day was a huge success, a lovely time was had by all, very happy.

Only problem was my late night binge of a leftover bit of cheesecake which totally disagreed with me so I was up til 4am puking and with the squits.

DH has already left to go home and I am still here

I won a clothing bundle on ebay - NEXT boys 6-9 m, 115 bits, for £110, blimey. Good price and I can always sell what he doesn't use.

trendaverter · 27/08/2007 11:09

Andiem
I am a size 18/20, you are so not fat (unless you are 3ft tall), in fact my goal is to get to a 14, please don't let insensitive arses get to you x

justbeme · 27/08/2007 12:49

Afternoon!
Well DD1 and DD2 are fast asleep!
and where's the sun gone??

So by the time DD1 has got herself out of bed and dd2 has had a feed, there wont be much left of this bank holiday!

I actually dont like BH's - Its like you feel like you should be going out for the day and doing something for the sake of it - I think we'll leave Hever Castle till a "Normal weekend" - hopefully the traffic wont be so bad then.

Glad your naming day was a success TA - but sorry that you paid for it! Yuk i hate that.

Well, Ive been in tears reading a mag article about a woman my age who lost her fiance (who proposed the day b4) and 2 sons in the Tsunami. It was so sad - so I've told myself, next time I'm feeling down and that I can't cope, I must remember her story and things could hardly ever be that bad...
It makes you think.

justbeme · 27/08/2007 13:31

DD1 finally up for the day - still in nightie!! and DD2 slowly waking for feed!!

andiem · 27/08/2007 13:44

TA glad the naming day went so well

Thanks ladies was feeling a bit sensitive as I am fatter than I was. I have got the cook yourself thin book on order from amazon so am going to start that next week when ds back at school and can also go to the gym to start swimming

JBM I wish mine had just got up have been up since 07.30 although will need to get back in the swing when school starts again next week

justbeme · 27/08/2007 14:05

DD2 JUST properly woken
Ive been looking at Boden and thought i'd poss found a skirt in the sale - and cunningly thought I could use a free postage and returns code - but alas not - so im not keen to order as I dont want to have to pay 2 lots of postage (me tight??!!)

BadZelda · 27/08/2007 14:33

at your uncle, andiem. Someone said something like that to me over the weekend, so I replied, in a jokey kind of voice 'why I ought to punch you right in the nose' - so he knew he was being out of line, but it wasn't a big issue. I hate those kind of insensitive comments. Your baby is only 2 months old - sounds like you're doing pretty well to me!

andiem · 27/08/2007 15:07

Thanks BZ why do people thnk they can make such personal comments? I don't go around saying you're ugly. mind you my brother said at least she can lose the weight you can't stop being ugly

andiem · 27/08/2007 15:08

By the way what time and where is everyone meeting on wed? You guys all know what each other look like in the flesh

faylisa · 27/08/2007 16:13

Hello everyone - we've just been to 'A Country Affair' at Hampton Court - sort of a village fete crossed with a county show - they even had ferret racing and dancing sheep!!! It was good fun but i now have a sunburnt back and DH is so worn out he's gone to bed for an hour. Hope everyone else is having a good bank holiday?
