Congratulations @IVEgotthetinselBITCHES Grin

kyles101 · 19/12/2019 18:12

@db92 mine is just a guts. God forbid you're a few minutes longer than usual getting his bottle though, you'd think he was starved 🙄 it was the tummy gurgling the their lady mentioned before he'd started the bottle that made me think hunger, and then if too hungry could be too fretful to feed properly.

Woo hoo @Decaf !!!!! That's brilliant!!! Super impressive!
@db92 if he's not hungry he's not hungry, as long as he's growing you're golden.

Dyra · 19/12/2019 23:03

Well done you @IVEgotthetinselBITCHES! 🥳

yevans · 21/12/2019 23:18

I officially despise teething. As if she has to go through this for months... 😭😭

Horehound · 22/12/2019 15:23

Well done @IVEgotthetinselBITCHES!

@yevans what's going on?

I'm wondering if Arthur was starting to teeth but actually I'm not sure. Could just be exploring his mouth but he's now got a habit of spitting saliva out and sooking it back in! And he's using Sophie la giraffe in such a way I feel sorry for the poor thing!

happydays00 · 22/12/2019 15:36

Congratulation @IVEgottheDECAF , that is seriously impressive!

@yevans what's happening? I've decided DS is teething. He's dribbling like mad, is waking multiple times in the night and cries out quite often when he's chewing his fist/toys/anything he can gnaw on. Teething is just awful, my DD has her first teeth at 16 weeks and then it was just constant for about 10 months 😩😩

IVEgotthetinselBITCHES · 22/12/2019 15:38

Ty all!

BabyDECAF is a proper dribble machine and always has something in his mouth but doesnt seem uncomfortable to i dont suspect teething

Dyra · 22/12/2019 16:27

I have no idea if Alice is teething.

She's also dribbling, but I've put it down to that she likes making spit bubbles. She also chews on her hand regularly.

Her lower gum has little raised gum ridges where the canines would be. But I didn't think the lower canines came in for ages.

yevans · 22/12/2019 16:28

Ruth is dribbling like mad, going through multiple bibs a day and evenings have been awful, it's taken hours to settle her! It's a tooth on her bottom left and it's definitely poking out more than it was so hopefully it will be through soon. @Horehound I was thinking about getting a Sophie, are they worth it?

Horehound · 22/12/2019 16:55

@yevans yep definitely is for us..it's his favourite toy by far!
We got it as a gift and it came all in dirty packaging etc and I almost three it out but I cleaned it well and I'm so glad I kept it.
I think the first time he saw her he didn't like her but ever since...can barely get her away from him lol.

Stroan · 22/12/2019 18:22

Well done Decaf! Amazing achievement, I'm not sure I could even read an essay, never mind write a good one.

DSs is soaked in dribbling and always chewing his hand, toys or edge of his dummy. But I don't think it's teeth, he isn't upset, his nappies are fine and his guns aren't hard. DD was also very dribbly and didn't get teeth until 8 months.

Horehound · 24/12/2019 15:53

Oh do the gums go hard when they teeth? Arthur's seems very hard.. he took my knuckle into his mouth yesterday and moved it around and it squeaked!
Last night dh said he thinks I may be right about the dairy thing. He said his nappy smelled of sour milk :/ also ties in with me eating more dairy that day hmm
Noticed today he has a bit of a rash on his tummy. Could be a baby lotion I used on him, could be down to a different type of nappy I used, could be the dairy thing (although I doubt it cause he's not had a rash with it before).
Its all so confusing!

Anyhoo I got 8 hours straight sleep last night (yay)but he's a bit grumpy today because that's all he slept at usually he sleeps 11hours but with feeds interspersed. He is happier now after having a few feeds and is having a nap.

Wishing you all a merry Christmas whatever you are doing. Hope father Christmas is good to you all :) Xmas Smile

Geegrl19 · 24/12/2019 21:53

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all had a lovely day, and you were all spoiled rotten. Grin Hope your littl'uns (new and old) also had good days and were on their best behaviour.

Megan2018 · 25/12/2019 23:27

Merry Christmas all!
We were in the shit Christmas camp as Felicity is in full Leap 4 fussy stage meltdown and refusing sleep, 2 poonamis, ruined dinner, etc etc. She cracked her first smile of the day at 10pm. Not taken a single photo, DH didn’t even get a shower. Thank god were were on our own. This is one to forget! But hey ho, next year can only be better!
Tomorrow we get to host, and I’m expecting more of the same tbh but with my inlaws in the mix. I hate to wish the time away but I’ll be glad when this leap is finished.

happydays00 · 26/12/2019 22:30

Oh @Megan2018 sorry to hear it was a tough day yesterday! Was today any better?

Megan2018 · 27/12/2019 11:02

Boxing Day was a huge improvement by some miracle in the shape of my lovely Dad! Felicity fell asleep on him within 20 mins of arrival and had 2 x 1.5hr naps on him during the day. She did the same last time he visited too so he is clearly a baby whisperer. We also had a good night sleep last night so feeling much better! Phew

Geegrl19 · 27/12/2019 13:24

@Megan2018 glad to hear it was a more relaxing day. So stressful when they have unsettled days.

I've got Nate tonight with his arms free for the first time. Has always been in a loose thin sleeping bag, but just too warm here and he's starting to roll too even given his lack of tummy time on my part! Woke himself up a few times earlier, but not too bad now. I really should go to sleep but it's so peaceful at this time of night!

Dyra · 27/12/2019 20:33

@Megan2018 Good to hear you had a much better day yesterday. Hope it continued for today.

@Geegrl19 How's DD doing? Hoping recovery is going swiftly. Also hoping the days and nights aren't unbearable for you. I'm with you on the not going to sleep when you should front. It's so nice when baby's in bed, as is everyone else. Feels like it's the only time I have for me any more.

Geegrl19 · 28/12/2019 00:53

@Dyra she's doing well thank you. Probably really sore for the first few days but she is so strong. Hardly complained even though in lots of pain. The complete opposite of how I would have been! She's been out on her bike and scooter so she just pushes herself. Amazing how quickly she is healing thank goodness.

I finally went to sleep at 12.40am, that's so bad! Will be in for a shock when I go back to work in just over a months time - don't want to think about that yet.

Been coping OK with the heat, climatised a bit now for the summer, although really don't like the days that get over 40, that's just too much, especially when Nate wants to sleep on me still Confused

Horehound · 29/12/2019 10:22

Hey I'm still struggling with Arthur. Yesterday I had cereal which u haven't been doing the last few weeks. And lo...he was sick and fussy for the whole day after. Actually this morning he has fed and has been sick too which is not like him.

Also for the last few days he's had a rash on his tummy and back but today it's also in his legs. I have used lotion but not sure it helped ..

Horehound · 29/12/2019 10:24

Could be lotion, milk, something else in my diet or fabric softener although I haven't changed this.
