Enjoy your swimming Eddas

EllieK · 19/08/2007 10:33

that is indeed the right link elkie, but worth bearing in mind that the Ely-Bury line is down, and will be til next year so any trains that go through there will stop at Ely and a bus service takes over until you get to Bury. This means journeys take much longer, and it might be better/easier to take the london/cambridge or london/ipswich route instead.

the service will be in the morning during the usual Church service, and then as it's next door to a park i'm thinking I might do a picnic for everyone, or find out about hire of the village hall. the Church is in a village called Horringer which is nowhere near any stations! but I have family in Thurston who have cars and would be willing to help out i'm sure, and I have 2 spare car seats too (don't ask!) Thurston is about 3 mins from my house, Bury and Stow are about 10 so it really isn't a problem to get to any of them to collect people, and Ipswich/Cambridge are only 20mins if we need to go there

Morning!

Well, feel loads better, and slept until 10.30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could not believe it when I looked at my watch.

Pmsl at those place names etc.

Need to get on as my plan is to go clothes shopping while they are all still away!!

Back later. xx

leakyR · 19/08/2007 11:33

So v of your lie in SOL. Between 9pm and 6am I was up 7 times with George!

Sexonlegs · 19/08/2007 11:35

Oh Leaky, I am really sorry. x

leakyR · 19/08/2007 11:44

Think he's having a spurt. 7 times is a record even for him (4/5 times is normal). Little monkey is fast asleep now

We're going swimming this afternoon too. I have a swimsuit that (allegedly) holds in my tummy.

weeonion · 19/08/2007 12:29

hi folks. waiting on the inlaws to arrive - hmmmmmmmmm a fun afternoon beckons

elkie - have posted on yr thread

sol - let us know what new clothes you get - i will be filled with !! hope you have a fab afternoon

leaky - poor you. disheartening isnt it? can i ask where you got yr swimsuit? we are starting waterbabies next week nd dreading it. i dont need something that justholds in the tummy- upper arms, thighs, bum and hips too. in fact - a full wet suit may be more needed!
eddas - how did it go at swimming??

ok - off to make sarnies!

leakyR · 19/08/2007 13:01

WO - this is the swimsuit that I have. Not the sexiest garment I've ever owned but it feels supportive and doesn't look too bad on.

CaptainDippy · 19/08/2007 13:07

Hello! Enjoy your swimming, Eddas & Leaky - DH & I can't go on our own with our three unfortunately - Aside from the fact our local pool insists on a 1:1 ratio for under 5's - I don't think we'd physically be able to cope with all 3 of ours in the pool at the same time - esp as DD1 is a bit of maniac in the pool!! Have taken them with a friend a couple of times though, which is so nice. REALLY hoping to start DD1 doing swimming lessons soon, just soooo expensive though.

Mmmmmmm .....

Anyway, how is everyone today? All ok here - crappy weather though. We were hoping to venture to the seafront to see the denoument of Eastbourne Airbourne (Red Arrows ..... yey!! ) Not sure whether we will or not though, don't fancy standing in the freezing cold pouring rain .... yuk!

CaptainDippy · 19/08/2007 13:10

Ooooh, that is quite nice Leaky - "bodyshaper" .... don't we all! I have this one - otherwise my boobs hang out of the leg holes .... It's on sale atm - so any big boobied women on this thread ..... get it now - it is fab fab fab!

Sexonlegs · 19/08/2007 13:52

Can you believe I didn't buy anything for me!! I bought K a dress and some tights for winter, and B a gorgeous cardigan.

I was hoing the shiops had finished their sales and would have more winter stuff in.

Never mind. It was good to be out without thinking about feeding times and dirty nappies!

I know this sounds mad, but I am so bloody nervous about seeing B again. I just don't know how she will be after a week of being the centre of attention.

Sorry, v self absorbed post.

Love to all. xx

CaptainDippy · 19/08/2007 13:53

Dunno where everyone has gone .... how dare how all have lives outside MN!!??

Just had to post anyway - DH came back from town with a gorgeous top from Next that I have been coverting for aaaaages!! Now all 3 children are sleeping!!

Leftover Chinese Take-Away for lunch - yum!

happimummy · 19/08/2007 14:06

hey dippy, I'm here! No life!

Ellie - looks like T and I can make it too! Had to negociate car with dh! And we can pick anyone up who needs a lift, Ely's only a small detour from here. Not got a spare car seat though.

Pesha - cute pics, like the surfboard one

Leaky - nooooooo... that is one rough night

wo - i got a cheapy-suck everything in swimsuit in the sale at bhs

sol - glad you had a nice time round the shops, but poo at not getting ya-self anything! Hope it's ok with B xx

happimummy · 19/08/2007 14:07

ooo, nice top dippy, just had a look

happimummy · 19/08/2007 14:11

We're currently watching x factor- fatal. Dh's funny, he's quite good at telling if they're any good and usually ends up agreeing with Simon Cowell!

Off for cream teas later!

CaptainDippy · 19/08/2007 14:26

Agreeing with Simon Cowell.

Cream Tea .... Yum Yum Yum - My favourite! So to you too!

Be lovely to meet you if you do come to Joe's Christening / Matthew's Birthday Shin-Dig!

happimummy · 19/08/2007 15:11

lol - yeh agreeing with SC !

Would be lovely to meet you and P at ellie's do!

Right off for that cream tea now The lady who's house it's at knitted T a jumper. It is the worst jumper ever, but he's just been squashed into it to show her

Pesha · 19/08/2007 15:12

I want to go too

Katy - I promise I wasnt trying to make you look stupid! Dp makes cider and they bottle all sorts and he knows about carbonation (is that a word ) and assures me it really is the bubbles adding to the volume in the bottle so when you pour it out you get less!!

Pesha · 19/08/2007 15:45

Just started reading a chilbirth thread thinking i might be able to offer some advice but found myself thinking next time I'll have a home birth then remembered I dont want another child and am feeling now.

Problem is I do want another baby and to be pg and give birth again (yes I know) but I dont want a 4th child, if that makes any sense at all. So I cant do it all again because I really dont want an extra child to deal with and have to fit in and pay for and everything else, I really dont and nor does dp, but I'm really sad to think I wont get the whole pg/birth/baby experience ever again.

Is that weird?!

Katy44 · 19/08/2007 16:01

It is weird Pesha - for most people it's the other way round

Sexonlegs · 19/08/2007 16:08

Pesha, Ikwym. I didn't enjoy the pg bit so much, but the giving birth bit was fab, and so empowering.

We are definitely not having any more tho. I don't feel sad tho I have to say.

Pesha · 19/08/2007 16:18

LOL katy

Alot of the pg stuff i hated - i was so sick and tired but i loved feeling them move and having scans and i loved my bump. And d's birth was agony and im pretty sure if i were to have another my only option is g&a again as wont have pethidine, no time for epidural and i always appear to be coping quite well so they dont give me anything else anyway. But it is empowering SOL and exciting to think your going to meet your baby soon.

Oh poo.

EllieK · 19/08/2007 16:24

I want you to come too pesha

fab news that you can come eca, dh is obviously welcome too, or he could arrange to meet his parents, there's a posh coffee shop at Ickworth Park to rival their usual hangout, and that's right next door to the Church

Pesha · 19/08/2007 16:27

Change the date ellie! Its not much to ask for you to rearrange everything and everyone just for me is it?

EllieK · 19/08/2007 16:29

actually it isn't arranged yet, and I'm still waiting for Daisymoo to read her email, but if it's not the 9th it won't be until October sometime as they have no rector at the moment!
