Hi All.I can't seem to get on here much at the mo,SO I DON'T FEEL I AM BEING VERY SUPPORTIVE TO ANY OF YOU.bUT I THINK ABOUT YOU ALL LOYS[SMILE] and i too,am covered in drool most of the time.Milo was quietly sick on my shoulder in town the other day and i didn't notice till i got back to the carAhhh the glamour. He has had his second lot of jabs delayed as he has an ear infection.I REALLY,REALLY hope all you fab mums are ok.

normabutty · 14/08/2007 11:42

Elkie & SOL - good luck for the LOs jabs today.

EM - hope S is ok today.

CD - hope you have a nice time at work.

Woohoo 2 of my new nappies arrived today! Also loads of boosters that I bought 2nd hand.

Oooggs - personally I prefer the 2-part nappies, I'm not too keen on the pockets (find it a pain stuffing them ). Hope you get a nappy advisor to come round soon.

Forgot to say, had Erin weighed the other day (at 17weeks) and she's 11lb 6oz so on 2nd centile. Have decided that I'm just going to get her weighed at baby group rather than at the clinic cos at baby group it's more private ( - there's something wrong with that, isn't there???) and if I think there's a prob or anything I can then make an appointment at clinic for HV to weigh her...it's just more convenient at baby group partic if weather is bad.

normabutty · 14/08/2007 11:44

Hi Dooby - sorry M has an ear infection, poor thing. Hope you're ok. LOL @ sick!

lazyemma · 14/08/2007 12:12

well that was a fricking disaster! the interview bit went OK but I totally arsed up the typing test. It was a dictated letter from a consultant to a GP and had the word "diarrhoea" in it about fifty willion times. They gave me 15 minutes and I didn't even finish it. oh well.

lovely pics, people.

mammyjo · 14/08/2007 12:32

Poor you emma. When will they let you know?

Saw gp yesterday. Have got antibiotics as he thought it was more likely mastitis than thrush. Am going to give it a couple of days. If it doesnt settle I will go back. Have managed to get appointment for nice lady doctor but not til next thursday. Hopefully I wont need to use it!

Sol, I saw that programme last night too. That poor man, bad enough to get that sort of news without a camera in your face. Brought a tear to my eye too. He seemed so lovely.

Eddas · 14/08/2007 12:45

Just wanted to say hello, have tried reading the thread to catch up but as usual you lot natter too much

I'm feeling a bit better this week. TBH I think it was just all the unknowns in my life making me feel unsettled. I HATE not knowing what will happen, I hate change! I feel better now i've kinda decided what will happen work wise. Although DH maybe trying to sort out childcare to enable me to go back to my old job. Thing is i'm not sure I want to since the place seems to be going to pot staff wise

Hope everyone is well.

Oh and if you've asked me into any msn convos lately and i've just switched off it's not me it's DH. He gets weired out by the pop ups and just clicks the cross bless him! Been trying to leave the computer in the evenings and do something constructive with my child free few minutes!

Tonight i'm off to see hairspray with the one friend who hasn't blown me out At least she loves me>

ooo and i've just spent £20 I don't have on yet more plastic toys on ebay ho hum! But it is a huge bundle and there's one thing in particular I wanted for ds which normally costs £30 or so in the shops! I will keep some and sell some!!!!!!!!!

oooggs · 14/08/2007 12:47

hi all - good girl mammyjo making that 'lady doc' appt. Hopefully you won't need it

ds1 screamed at 3am in his sleep and woke up everyone else - nightmare - struggled settling Jack so very tired

good luck for those with jabs today (children!!)

SOL - when is B back home?
Octo - don't have contact for Teresa until back to baby group in sept
good to 'see' you doobypoo - do keep popping in
lazy emma - try not to think about it, there is nowt you can do, so have some chocolate

dts 20 weeks on thurs and had them weighed today Erin is following 25th centile and is 14lb 11oz and Jack is following 50th centile and is 17lb 7oz

oooggs · 14/08/2007 12:48

hi eddas hope you are well, hope to chat with you soon - when you are ready x

Eddas · 14/08/2007 13:26

hi oooggs I think i'll feel fine once dd is back at school, 27 days til our holiday, and counting then school straight away when we're back!

Just had my first Tesco delivery, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so much nicer than going there, although I did go to Asda yesterday But that was an excuse to see if they had any jobs!

Off to put my shopping away and eat lunch

mammyjo · 14/08/2007 13:54

Hey Eddas, glad you are feeling a bit better this week.

Oooggs, wow 17lb!! That is a beautifully big gorgeous boy! Ffion was weighed last week and was 13lb 9oz. She is just barely clinging on to the 25th centile! Not worried though as she is thriving. Where on earth has the last 20 weeks gone?

JoMa · 14/08/2007 14:06

started to type a message then forgot and noved away from the page!

wcl they are very cute, love the outdoor feeding pic

elkiedee · 14/08/2007 14:17

Afternoon all.

lazyemma, sorry to hear about typing test. They can be really flukey, but I hope that it turns out that it was a really hard test and you did it as well or better than anyone else.

D seems to be ok after his tests, but I made the mistake of agreeing to an appointment to see the health visitor at 12 the same day. This means that I haven't dared arrange anything ambitious in case D was unwell or unhappy, and that I was even more anxious and weepy than normal at the moment.

Miserable weather isn't helping my mood today either. maveta, can we have just a little more of your sunshine?

mammyjo, hope you don't need to suffer for the next 9 days before that appointment and that your mastitis or thrush or whatever does clear up.

ickleandficklefinn · 14/08/2007 14:30

Oh Lazyemma - sorry to hear about the typing! Hopefully the interview will bring you success.

Oooggs - if you log onto www.teamlollipop.co.uk and request an advisor to contact you for a demo - there are advisors in Plymouth area or call them on 01736 799512.

Milk getting a bit more abundant!

Have cleaned bathrooms and tidied up - 3/4 hour before ds2 to be collected then chaos with friends for tea.

Ernie having carrot for afternoonsies!

normabutty · 14/08/2007 15:21

I'm again...after everytihng MIL said about feeding erin...today FIL emails me a link to this article on overfeeding and dh reckons he's not trying to make a point.

Katy44 · 14/08/2007 15:27

print off the chart, rip it up and feed it to him!

OP posts:
maveta · 14/08/2007 15:31

Oh Nutty, can´t you just reply to the email telling them to mind their own business? I know it´s different with your own parents but it sounds like they´re really crossing the line. When my mum made some comment about feeding I just said very tersely ´Opinions are not required on this matter!´ but she got the message.

geordiemacminx · 14/08/2007 15:33

nutty - surely acccording to the charts erin is the right weight and is therefore NOT overweight?

Sexonlegs · 14/08/2007 15:37

Hi ladies

Eddas, good to see you and to hear you are feeling more upbeat about things.

FF, good to hear your milk is flowing plentifully!!

Mammyjo, glad the docs went ok, and hopng that you are feeling better soon.

Oooggs, B is back on Sunday, although fil said that she may come back earlier if she is really not enjoying/benefitting from her time with them.

Elkie, hope D's jabs went ok. Just back from K's and she screamed her head off. She is not a crying baby, and it breaks my heart when she cries like that. She is now whinging in her bouncy chair next to me. One of her jabs has bled a bit - trickled out under the plaster. Ikwym re the weather not helping lift the mood. I feel so down again, and dh has texted to say he won't be back until 9.00. He is then off at 5.30 a.m. tomorrow to Dublin for the day (for work). GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you are all well. Need to go. xx

Katy44 · 14/08/2007 15:39

i cant cope at the moment
am sick of all this
why is he alwayus crying????????

OP posts:
maveta · 14/08/2007 15:39

The charts confused me.. what´s 1 2 -1 -2 etc? And according to this chart it looks like N is even further behind the norm on weight that I thought

I think the answer is not to worry about charts/percentiles etc and look at whether your baby is growing and is happy!

geordiemacminx · 14/08/2007 15:41

awh katy.

Go and put him in his cot, close the door and go and stand outside for 5 minutes. He will not come to any harm. Then go back, pick him up and give him a cuddle.

maveta · 14/08/2007 15:41

Aww Katy! I´m sorry babe, is he still not 100%. Noah was such a different baby last week and he only had a cold, he was so much more whingy and cried noticeably more, I found it really hard to deal with. Sending you hugs and THIS WILL PASS!!! Vibes..

normabutty · 14/08/2007 15:58

Katy, maybe he's still not well like others haev said. Agree about putting him down and going out the room for a few minutes. (((hugs)))

mammyjo · 14/08/2007 16:04

Nutty, they have def crossed the line this time. As if MIL didnt make your weekend crap enough. Email back and say you already have the new growth charts (I do in my book) and her growth and feeding are fine thankyou very much. Cheeky git

Kneehighinnappies · 14/08/2007 16:06
