Katy I took that photo just before I posted it on here, just ran in, switched light on, took it and ran out again. Erin sometimes moves a bit but that is how they were put in the cot, awake after their bottles.

Just remember they have more room in the cot together than they did in my tummy

CaptainDippy · 06/08/2007 22:19

Aweet names - we have another Lucy on the thread - Bumble wee girlie is Lucy too, she's v.cute! About a week and a bit younger than our girls, BM.

oooggs · 06/08/2007 22:19

yes I am loving the girly thing aswell, but the boys are also great, especially for cuddling.

emmymummy · 06/08/2007 22:19

Dippy - love the photos, fab, fab, fab!!!

CaptainDippy · 06/08/2007 22:20

That should read: "Awww, sweet"

Katy44 · 06/08/2007 22:21

That's true - they must be fairly used to each other by now!
What's the verdict on cot bumpers, are they safe? I was woken by a little boy demanding to be rescued this morning as he had his arm hanging out of the cot - he wasn't distressed, just wanted mummy to sort it out Surely cot bumpers must be safer than him potentially getting trapped?

oooggs · 06/08/2007 22:21

meant to say - love your choice in names too

CaptainDippy · 06/08/2007 22:27

Mmmmm, not sure about cot bumpers tbh - we've never had them and if you've got a really wriggly one, they will get stuck no matter what you do - DD2 was a super wriggler (she still is) & she just got used to untangling / detaching herself eventually! Individual choice imho!

BalletMum · 06/08/2007 22:28

Thanks. Have just worked out what profile is & have had a nose aaahhh. Emmymummy - I live near Guildford too.

Katy44 · 06/08/2007 22:31

Hmm yes if he's determined to get stuck then bumpers would probably only make it worse.
The other day I found him at the other end of his cot, facing the wrong way, and on his tummy!

CaptainDippy · 06/08/2007 22:31

Run, run - Run for the hills - Quick BM, run - stay away from emmy - she's craaaaaazy!

CaptainDippy · 06/08/2007 22:35

Right my boobs are about to explode so I am off to bed to express some milch and read my book. "See" you tomorrow ladies! xx

Katy44 · 06/08/2007 22:35

where did that post come from CD
[mystified]

Katy44 · 06/08/2007 22:36

Oh they live near each other
Wondered what Emmymummy had done

normabutty · 06/08/2007 22:43

Oooh, my ILs are in Guildford

BalletMum · 06/08/2007 22:44

I have just done a profile page. Can't work out how to put photos on yet. Not even half way through the ironing but giving up. Off to bed now.

BalletMum · 06/08/2007 22:48

Might need to redo profile page - says I have no children!!! Too tired now!

CaptainDippy · 06/08/2007 22:55

Which post?

Perhaps BM is really a big hairy trucker!!?

Only kidding - looking forward to reading your profile / seeing pics when you've got it more sorted hon!

Night - again .....

elkiedee · 06/08/2007 23:15

Welcome Balletmum, and thanks for the link to the stats thread, Katy, I like being able to refer back to it now.

Now to look at some of those pics!

eca · 06/08/2007 23:16

Hey peeps, I just feel I really need to say a sorry if I upset anyone with what i said about bf and giving ff the other day. I went to bed that night thinking it might come across wrong and I've had a bit of a hint that it might have.

I didn't mean it to sound like it probably did. It's more a comment on my state of mind about the whole thing than a comment on other mums. ff is just not for me at the moment, who knows about next week, next month, next baby etc.

I wouldn't judge anyone about how they feed their baby. It's a personal thing between you, your baby and your family.

Hope you understand. Sorry if i've upset anyone.
xx

elkiedee · 06/08/2007 23:22

Awwww at Dippy and Oooggs

elkiedee · 06/08/2007 23:23

and their babies

elkiedee · 06/08/2007 23:28

eca, I'm sad about my failure on bf still but knowing how hard it must have been to have succeeded as you have, I know where you're coming from. You didn't upset me. You didn't tell me alarming things about the ingredients of formula or make any comment/sweepingly judgmental statement on on others using it.

eca · 06/08/2007 23:34

thanks elkie

elkiedee · 07/08/2007 00:27

lazyemma, re worrying about the NCT etc, I would suggest giving some of the things they organise for new mums enough of a try to see what your local group is like. I'm sure it's like most other things - there will be groups who accept that other people may have either made different decisions or had different experiences - certainly I've had nothing but sympathy even from the Breastfeeding Network group.

On another note, the Jolly Babies group was good, and I plan to go back as regularly as I can - not next week because I have a chance to spend the afternoon with my mum. I also found out about another group just round the corner from me that takes place on Friday afternoons - generally a day when I don't have much to do unless I'm going out of London and apart from am medical appts.

Sorry, all this sounds terribly self-absorbed, but I think it's worth braving these groups however you feed your baby or cover its bottom!

Goodnight.
