flashfinn · 05/08/2007 20:23

I am a lazy old boot (but don't get any benefits) - dh thinks I am going back to work when ernie starts school yeah right!

flashfinn · 05/08/2007 20:26

Tie the waist straps round your tummy so the pouch is in front of you. The long straps go over your shoulders, cross over and tie at the front - once baby is on . Erin should sit at about your waist height - so her legs will be dangling out each side.

eca · 05/08/2007 20:27

hey all, happy sundays to you

flash - love the name! Your boys sound cute - all tired after a hard day at the beach The lollipop one is bamboo, v soft and lovely, but took quite a while to dry on the line today (thinking ahead to winter without a tumble dryer)!

I'm LOVING cloth nappies and can feel the addiction creeping up on me, but not quite got a list like maveta or norma yet But like leaky, the idea is to save money, so trying to resist going mad Actually quite like terries, no major disasters so far with them

Welcome back cd hope the hol was fabee!

Pesha, that sounds awful with your mum Hop you can talk to her about it and set her straight. I am a firm believer in treating siblings equally. For our God children I always send them a little pressie for b-days, xmas, but also make sure I remember their brothers/sisters. Possibly taking the whole equality thing a bit far (not to mention breaking the bank!) but I feel like they'd wonder why one got a pressie and not them. Ramble ramble...

hi lazy em! Nice to see you around!

normabutty · 05/08/2007 20:28

So her legs are either side of the square bit? (that's hpw i tried it and she didn't seem to like it . Thought it looked a bit wide for her legs iyswim, so thought i was maybe doing it wrong!

eca · 05/08/2007 20:28

oh and flash, am I right in thinking you're a lollipop lass?

normabutty · 05/08/2007 20:30

I quite like my terries but tend to use the prettier ones now!

FF - when my new wraps arrive I'll return yours to you!!! Are you gonna put a list of your nappies up

flashfinn · 05/08/2007 20:33

ex-lollipop advisor but kind of still connected - work for Onelife - owned by same lady.

Not sure norma - would need to see it on! I didn't use it alot as used my huggababy - but now struggling with that one - think he is a bit big for lying down/sitting and too small still for upright

I have a challenge - please find me a super cool bottle bag - to hold two bottles.

oooggs · 05/08/2007 20:35

hi flash - ds1 is at nursey both days ( he does exsist - honest) and dh doesn't go to work til 3 this week so I am pretty tied until then

normabutty · 05/08/2007 20:41

Or you could maybe get a custom made one here

Sexonlegs · 05/08/2007 20:42

Hi ladies.

Ange, am so relieved you got the all clear on your smear result. What a relief. Hope you enjoyed the wedding.

EmmyMummy, Happy Anniversary! Hope you got spoilt rotten.

Luce, belated Happy Birthday for yesterday. Hope you had a lovely day and got tons of pressies!

CD, welcome back my lovely. Glad to hear you had a good time.

Mammyjo, no advice from me I'm afraid as not a b/fer, but really hope you are ok and get some help. x

Katy, pmsl at the possibility of T swallowing his dummy. Of course I hope he hasn't poor lad.

LazyEmma, lovely to see you again. I was thinking abou you the other day.

Pesha, hope you and dp have resolved things, and that you are able to talk to your mum. I think it would be worth talking to her about it, as otherwise things tend to escalate and resentment can build up v quickly. xx

And lots of love to everyone who I have failed to mention.

Well, I went to Bristol. I left it until 5 minutes before we were due to leave. What clinched it was dh said he was taking K with him, which I wasn't keen on [possessive mummy emoticon]!

It was fine, but I felt raf driving down there, and as expected, the 4 of us sharing a room was a nightmare. It was baking hot for one, and I ended up sleeping on the sofa. K cried out at 5.45 in her sleep which woke B up, who refused to go back to sleep. So, a v early morning and 2 v tired girls.

The inlaws turned up as well . It was good to see them, but had been looking forward to just me, dh, bil and his gf spending an evening together tbh. Not sure how bil's gf felt about having them phone up and invite themselves over. They are a bit like that!

Anyway, hope everyone has had a wonderful day in the sun. Must have been the result of runnyhabit putting up her slide etc!

normabutty · 05/08/2007 20:42

Ah your list makes me feel better...I don't think i'm the most addicted after all

flashfinn · 05/08/2007 20:42

Never mind oooggs - maybe next time we are down

Norma - thats okay - but needs to be much more yummy mummyish!

JoMa · 05/08/2007 20:46

Joe doesn't like his legs out the side either yet, it's recommended to put them in a froggy position, with their legs up inside the mei-tai until they are a bit bigger

normabutty · 05/08/2007 21:01

Thanks JoMa, I'll give that a go then!

mammyjo · 05/08/2007 21:41

Flash, hope you dont think I was having a go at people who dont work generally. Not at all. I just have an extremely lazy SIL who has all of her children in full time school. She is younger than me but point blank refuses to do anything. She always has a new illness or excuse as to why she couldnt possibly go and look for work. She happily goes out every weekend getting pissed too - she is fit enough for that.

CaptainDippy · 05/08/2007 21:44

Evening all! On a bit late cos I have been gardening!! Good grief!! I have been making a "mockery of our evil rockery"!!! Tis pretty much all gone now - and do you know what ...... Sssssssh, don't tell anyone but I actually enjoyed doing it!!

How is everyone else this evening? - Boiling hot & smelly here -

CaptainDippy · 05/08/2007 21:45

Great name change btw Flash!
