Well its one year exactly (hopefully ) since I started the first Due April 2007 ante natal thread. How life has changed in that year, for the better on the whole!

It makes me quite nostalgic to be doing this, as it means it is a full year since finding out I was pregnant with Ffion.

I would like to thank all the ladies on the April 2007 thread for all your support, laughter and general madness which has kept me going on many a rubbish day!! You are an amazing bunch of people and I am really pleased to have shared this journey with you all.

Here's to another fun filled year!!!!!!!

CD, hope you, Ellie and all your litttle ones have a wonderful time. I'm also having a running around day but at least today's fun and sociable - tomorrow's all medical appts. A friend dropped round for a cuppa and crime fiction suggestions before going off on holiday - I will miss her and my mum's also off abroad for a few weeks .

I'm now going to meet some of my postnatal class in Crouch End - one of Haringey's posher bits - as we agreed we all wanted to continue meeting up.

CaptainDippy · 25/07/2007 11:53

Thanks Elkie - don't forget Eddas too - she is joining us as well!!

Pinions - I would say they are ok, thank you and bin 'em!!

elkiedee · 25/07/2007 11:55

I wouldn't know what to say Pinions, I wouldn't wear clothes I didn't like and that smelt of smoke. Do you want to say you hate them or just pretend they didn't fit? Next time if you ask for help getting clothes I'd be specific about where from - it sounds like you would have been better off with vouchers. Does your mum give you clothes often?

elkiedee · 25/07/2007 11:56

Sorry Eddas, quite the little party there! Hope you ALL have a great time.

Pinions · 25/07/2007 11:59

Dippy, really! I want to get what I want to say off my chest but that always results in MAJOR family arguments, so right I see your point, thanks.

To note she HAS also just given me a load of next vouchers too, so bad timing really to post that. Normally wouldn't have had the vouchers just the crap clothes.

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:00

Elkie, thanks. I won't be wearing any of them.

oooggs · 25/07/2007 12:04

Don't know what I would do Pinions but......... you could ask her if she made a mistake in sending you a bundle of clothes that were meant for the charity shop

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:07

Ooooggs thats on the tip of my tongue, don't tempt me!!!

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:08

Sorry didn't mean to say Ooooooggs, never seem to get it right .

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:12

Have just realised am commenting on everyones replies so I'll clear off now and let you get on with it!!

Not only that am sneezing my head off, cos on top of everything else am allergic to smoke.

oooggs · 25/07/2007 12:13

no problem pinioooooooons

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:18

God the day started off as crap but has gone from bad to worse since that parcel arrived..

elkiedee · 25/07/2007 12:24

CD's advice seems good to me, Pinions. They sound horrible but keep the letting off steam for us, online, isn't that what we're here for, and avoid the row. Is Next's sale still on, online?

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:31

Just sent text to Dp.

Says the same. Thanks and then chuck em.

Kneehighinnappies · 25/07/2007 12:31

Right I haven't had time to catch up but I read pinions post about the tops, i had a similar problem my very old aunt in France sent a big parcel of baby clothes for the twins and they were MINGING, all stained and smelly, my mum said just put them in the wash they will be fine so, I did, they weren't and my mum said "oh you and John have more money than sense" which is not true I just don't want my kids wearing clothes from god know's where (most of Zed clothes come from a friend of mine who has a boy 2 months older than Z), so i didn't tell my mum but I went round the corner and left them outside the charity shop.
Haven't decided what I am going to say when she ask's where the clothes are yet.

So pinions just thank you mother and get rid of them they will just be left hanging in your wardrobe for years otherwise.

Right I have to go babies calling me.

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:32

What I'm saying is am I just feeling sorry for myself????

Pinions · 25/07/2007 12:33

Kneehigh. PMSL at very old aunt in France.

We're skint. NOT desperate.

normabutty · 25/07/2007 13:05

I agree it's not worth arguing over but you could maybe say they weren't really your style but the vouchers were perfect...you know drop hints that in future you'd prefer vouchers.

So Leaky/Pinions - White Rose meet-up...yes/no???? I'm busy Weds so say what's best for you if you want to meet!

Pinions · 25/07/2007 13:17

Can u get here Nutty??

and yeh thats right about the vouchers.

Pinions · 25/07/2007 13:19

Or even town??

normabutty · 25/07/2007 13:20

here, where? I can get to white rose but not to yours....

normabutty · 25/07/2007 13:20

and not really to town either....

Pinions · 25/07/2007 13:41

Not sure Nutty. Wil check nect weeks schedule of events and will have to get back to you. Think Leakys back now..?

Back to the dodgy clothes.

Thanks everyone for input. I have "thanked" my mum,god if she only knew i was slagging her off to MN and the whole world of all [shocks].

I said that no they weren't really what I was looking for, but the vouchers were much more handy (which is obvious anyway!).

Pinions · 25/07/2007 13:42

And on a lighter note.

I had completely forgotten how CUTE babies are at this age!!!

Compared to snotty 3 year olds that is. When they get to the "laughing" stage, ooooh!

leakyR · 25/07/2007 15:05

Hi Norma and Pinions
I've logged on in time to join in the meet up chat.

Tuesday or Thursday would be best for me. I don't miind where we meet as I'll have the car.

Feeling slightly better today as I had more sleep. G slept 21.15-3.45 then 4.15-6.45. Best he's done in ages there's definitely something going on in his gums but teething powder seems to help.

Going to try and read thread now.
