Well its one year exactly (hopefully ) since I started the first Due April 2007 ante natal thread. How life has changed in that year, for the better on the whole!

It makes me quite nostalgic to be doing this, as it means it is a full year since finding out I was pregnant with Ffion.

I would like to thank all the ladies on the April 2007 thread for all your support, laughter and general madness which has kept me going on many a rubbish day!! You are an amazing bunch of people and I am really pleased to have shared this journey with you all.

Here's to another fun filled year!!!!!!!

The Ellie, Joe and Matthew show were due here this afternoon but got stuck in traffic so I have to wait till thursday till the live tour visits Hemel.

PMSL at stella pesha, if my DH had seen him he would have cracked open the bottle for him!

Hope you have a good time GMM.

Katty I finally had my hair cut and I ended up getting LAYERS just to shut the bloody queer hairdresser up.

Kneehighinnappies · 24/07/2007 15:26

Oh and apparently my hair makes me look 10 years younger so I am now looking like a 16 year old with 3 kids
Not the look I was going for!

maveta · 24/07/2007 15:34

Yay! Dh´s sister just bought a holiday apartment in Alcudia in the north of the island near the sea (just as in last week) and called today to offer it to us for the weekend! YAY! AND dh coincidentally is off work on monday so it´s the perfect weekend for it. Just 2 days, 2 nights but will be great to just be away from family, obligations, plans etc etc.. just a couple of days, the 3 of us, the sea and all the time in the world.

Kneehighinnappies · 24/07/2007 15:36

When you say offer it to "us" you clearly mean all of "us" on here don't you!?!

Kneehighinnappies · 24/07/2007 15:48

HELLLLLLLLLLO, Where the hell is everyone??????

maveta · 24/07/2007 15:54

PMSL at KHIN! Of course, it IS the commune by the sea.. right?

maveta · 24/07/2007 15:55

oh and beat this for on the ball housekeeping if you can.. I started cleaning the bathroom at 12pm. I still have the toilet to clean and the floor to mop at - ooh - 5pm. That HAS to be a record.

Kneehighinnappies · 24/07/2007 16:13

normabutty · 24/07/2007 17:40

Sorry, v quick post to say Hi Everyone...gotta dash cos i'm hiding from the British Gas man who's trying to make me change providers and has already said i can take him to dinner and eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww (he was smelly)

Katy44 · 24/07/2007 17:47

Are you...under the bed?

maveta · 24/07/2007 17:53

Thanks Oooggs.. I´ll let him know..

Ok - we´re going to dinner and my little sis is looking after N with her boyfriend (23 and 27 respectively).. I don´t think they´ve babysat a baby before. In fact I´m not sure either of them has babysat ANYTHING before In theory N should be fed, changed and if not sleeping, about to fall asleep when they arrive so all going well they won´t need to do a thing. What should I tell them ´just in case´??

Only person to look after him before now has been my mum and I´ve not needed to tell her anything...Help!

maveta · 24/07/2007 17:54

to give you an idea of why I am asking given their reasonable ages... the last time I was at my mum´s on the computer and lil´ sis was playing with N in the lounge. He started crying, she shouted for me, I said he probably needed changed, she came through all ´ewww I don´t know how to change him´ (!)

Please don´t ask why I am leaving my child with them. Just don´t.

maveta · 24/07/2007 18:41

helllooooo????!

mammyjoMcGonagall · 24/07/2007 18:47

Is N likely to wake for a feed when you are out? If he might, then I would leave detailed instructions on how to warm milk etc etc. Leave out a couple of nappies and cotton wool/wipes. Dont leave it to chance that they would know where to find such things!! Worst case scenario they could just call you to come home couldnt they, but I am sure they will be fine. These things often turn out better than you think they will!!

KHIN, good to see you. Good on you for keeping up with the BF for as long as you did. Cant imagine how draining it must be feeding two babies.

oooggs · 24/07/2007 18:47

hi maveta - hope you have a lovely meal. No idea what to tell your sis hope she survives (hope N survives )

Katy - James was a nightmare, conception, pregnancy, birth & 1st year - took dh a while to convince me to do it again - then look what happened . DT's are easier together than James ever was. All depends, but deep inside didn't want an only child, more to look after me in my old age

Sexonlegs · 24/07/2007 18:56

Hi ladies

KHIN, good to see you. Am in awe of you at bf'ing the twins for so long - truly remarkable!

Maveta, enjoy your night out. I am sure they will be fine. I would leave detailed instructions too. I did for mil when she looked after B when she was small, as tbh, she is such a panic monster!

Hope you are all well. Need to head for bath time etc, so back later. x

AngeG · 24/07/2007 19:07

Evening Ladies

KHIN - Well done for Bf as long as you have...not sure I could have done it with twins.

Maveta - Hope you have a great time. I'm sure N will be fine. He probably won't even wake up.

Hope everyone else ok.

Izzy has fallen alseep on the sofa...she looks so cute.

Back later xx
