I was just thinking about a new thread title...well actually I was thinking about sticking breast shells to me with micropore...then thought it might make a good title!
Have had a leaky night

JoMa · 17/07/2007 14:45

hellllllllloooooooooooooo!

dippy, are you still there?

JoMa · 17/07/2007 14:54

Sexonknackeredlegs · 17/07/2007 16:03

Hi loves

Octo, glad you mil is on the road to recovery. Hope she continues to do well.

Norma, hope Erin's foot is ok. K rubs her feet on her bouncy chair too, but always has socks on so no friction burns.

Ange, lovely to see you. Hope Izzy's cough is getting better.

Bramshott, congrats to N on the dry night - long may it continue!

Forgotten everything else!

Had my trip to get my nails and eyebrows done. K kicked off as soon as we got there, but fortunately there was an extra member of staff on and she held K for the entire hour I was there! Really kind of her.

Took K to have her jabs. She squealed like I have never heard before - really awful. She isn't in a great mood now, but tbh has been a bit grizzly all day. She barely sleeps in the day now either - 45 minutes in the morning and may be an hour tops for the rest of the day. She is knackered though - can see it in her eyes, but she just fights it the whole time - like now as I type! Has nodded off now - hurrah!

Hope everyone is ok. x

Grrr going out for a walk ON MY OWN. We are supposed to be on holiday and were going to have a day out today.

George had a bad night again last night, so has slept loads this afternoon and DH has also taken himself off to bed without saying a word to me!

It's a lovely day and we're wasting it! George can sleep in the car/pushchair/sling so we could still be doing something else.

Apologies for ranting, feeling like going upstairs and making noise to wake dh up, will go out to be on safe side.

theleakycauldRon · 17/07/2007 16:14

Have HP'd my nickname. It's cheered me up a bit. Will change back on saturday when I've got my mitts on the new book.

normabutty · 17/07/2007 16:15

SOKL - Erin has been like that the last couple of days, groaning cos she's tired but not going to sleep.

Lesley - @ your dh.

EmmyMuggle · 17/07/2007 16:20

hi all. S is still waking twice in the night for feeds - we dream feed her at 10.30 and she wakes at around 2am and 5am, and then doesn't really go back to sleep again, which is a total nightmare. As I do the night feeds, DH usually gets up and down to try to settle her after the 5am feed, and I put ear plugs in and eye mask on and try to grab another hour or so's sleep. The only way I am surviving really is by going to bed really early (i.e. by 10.30). Anything later and the next day passes in a knackered haze!

Last night was pretty crappy, so only managed 50 lengths of the pool this morning . Had to sit in the hot tub to recover. Now i could really use one of those in my back garden!

So Bramshott, am v. v. or Orla's sleep patterns. Will need to squash a tomato on your head next time I see you (I know, I need to reply to your email).

EmmyMuggle · 17/07/2007 16:22

Leaky - go and wake your dh up NOW! That is not right, he does not deserve additional sleep. (love the name BTW).

bumble75 · 17/07/2007 16:23

Leaky - , hope you have a good walk and a better night with G tonight.

SOKL - glad your app't went well, the receptionist at my dentist did the same for me yesterday, very helpful, hope K ok after jabs.

Octo - good to hear your MIL is doing ok.

Liath - glad you had a good time in London, enjoy the highlands!

Katy - Tristan is a LOVELY name and don't let anyone tell you any different! L also drama queen of the 'I'm going to scream the house down, go red in the face and start coughing, then as soon as you pick me up I will smile, coo and go to sleep on your shoulder' variety.

We went to parent & baby screening of HP this morning - was great! L had a massive feed (after throwing up most of her earlier one all over me just before we left) and then went to sleep. They even have lovely ladies who come around and take orders for drinks/snacks during the film. Will defo be going back. Film very good as well!

Glasgow ladies - I am coming through on Thursday to passport office for L - if you're around and fancy a coffee, let me know. My app't is at 12:30 but could come in earlier or meet up after?

Can't believe sun is still out in Edinburgh... , will I get out for a walk two days in a row??

octo · 17/07/2007 16:28

dippy - have emailed you twice!! will try again.

octo · 17/07/2007 16:34

Feeling tired - have just shouted at ds1 - haven't shouted at him for weeks - just being complete PITA!

Wine cooling ....

Bramshott · 17/07/2007 16:36

Came on to add something and mind now gone blank! I think it was to say 2 things to Mammyjo -

  1. Octo and Oooggs have started weaning I think, and the little ones seem to be lapping it up. I will probably hold Orla off for another month or so if I can, but if she was showing signs of being ready (other than getting very upset when we are eating which she already does), then I guess I'd consider it any time from now really. She's little though, so she's probably not too hungry.

  2. Orla is starting with her childminder on 4 Sept so I can get back to work properly (2.5 days a week) so from mid August I am going to try and do bottles of formula in the daytime and bf morning and night. I feel really sad about giving up breastfeeding now, and I hope she won't go off it completely and will still let me feed her night and morning. I can see it will be more tricky if you're working such a long day 1 day a week though.

Pinions · 17/07/2007 17:01

Just got back from the flicks.

Been to see Shrek 3, aw got really emotional at the end with all the ickle bickle baby shreks .

DS1 asked after 10 mins is it finished yet and then I don't like shrek I just like cars 10 mins after. Hey ho you can't win them all!

Pinions · 17/07/2007 17:02

And my pc too it totally allergic to msn, does not like it at all, so no msn for me either I'm afraid peeps.

oooggs · 17/07/2007 17:33

Weaning going fine but not admitting it anyway else but on this thread - would get shot down

Not managing 2 or 3 on your own? You do just survive and get on with it, bedtime routine is military.

Went to bed at 8pm last night and slept til midnight then was up on and off all night with 1, 2 or 3 of them. Knackered this morning but not as bad as would have been if I had msn ed all night !!!!!!!

oooggs · 17/07/2007 17:34

Katy - Tristan is a great name

runnyhabbit · 17/07/2007 17:41

Arghhh

Need to rant

Dh has finished front garden - gravel is laid, and is just waiting for me to get a few plants to put in pots to make it look pretty. So far, so good..

Fil has come down today to help dh prepare the back garden. He started trimming back the trees/bushes at the end of the garden so we can see exactly where the garden ends, so we can work out how much stuff we need etc.
Except, they have now been hacked back so much, we can see directly into our back neighbours garden. And this means that we have to get a new fence sorted now, instead of waiting a few weeks when we had a bit more money

We knew we would need to get a new fence eventually, but am just so angry. Esp at dh, who said "well it needs to be done anyway" Yes, but its me that works out what we can spend, and when.

arghhhh

rant over

runnyhabbit · 17/07/2007 17:47

katy Tristan is a lovely name. Ignore them, they obv have no taste.

joma about the nursery lady. Can't imagine what she's going through.

cd how much are the doidy cups, please?

leaky give dh a kick up the bum. If I'm awake, then dh is too

Lol at drama queens/kings I swear W could win an Oscar for his "mummy doesn't love me" cry

Words fail me re Mozhe thread. If its a hoax, then its very very sick.

If I missed anyone, sorry

(am still angry at dh and fil, need chocolate......)

normabutty · 17/07/2007 17:54

@ dh & fil RH...our fences needed replaced and next door got us a quote (cos they were having theirs done. Felt a bit pressured to get them done even though money was tight at that time so know how you feel.

Am having the guttering replaced on Friday , was meant to be at the end of the month but they've just rung and said they have a slot on Fri (some old woman hadn't realised she had to give 30 days notice to get money out of her account). We got quite a big discount on it tho cos we've agreed to let them take pictures and then I was cheeky and asked for another £100 off .

Thanks for posting those bits Octo! I have soooooo many nappies and won't get rid of any cos I keep thinking if I had another girl..... Still keep buying more tho

runnyhabbit · 17/07/2007 18:06

Glad you agree with me norma

dh has just told me he thinks I'm blowing things out of proportion

am going to bath W to calm down, and then eat some chocolate cake while he's feeding

runnyhabbit · 17/07/2007 18:08

But the absolute worse thing is there is nothing but a bit of chicken wire and a few tree trunks to stop J from getting into the neighbours garden. (and their children from coming into ours)

Men - they do not think!!!!!!!!!
