Poor you ange. You must have only had about an hour or so of sleep. Early night tonight methinks!! Sometimes I love to have an early night, not always going straight to sleep but just to veg in bed watching telly! Reminds of my pre children sunday mornings!!

mammyjoMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 12:11

Not bad mummy at all Katy. F is a total drama queen, they just know which buttons to press to make you feel really mean!! She does the whole red watery eyes and sobbing thing really well!

normabutty · 17/07/2007 12:12

HELP....

Erin has been kicking her feet whilst in her bouncy chair and she's rubbed the skin so much it's bleeding...what can I do to protect them??? Can you put plasters on babies????

normabutty · 17/07/2007 12:13

I noticed her toe looked sore earlier and took her socks off cos I thought it was those that were the problem but now I see it wasn't.

Katy44 · 17/07/2007 12:15

ow! What's she rubbing them against to break the skin?
mammyjo, glad it's not just me that gets the "Well I've been traumatised but I suppose I'm OK now [wobbly lip]" sighs

mammyjoMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 12:16

Poor Erin, sounds really sore. I suppose you could use plasters, but they are probably a bit big for her little feet. Do you have any of those little soft shoes you could put on her? They might stay on better than socks do.

mammyjoMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 12:16

Lol Katy

normabutty · 17/07/2007 12:17

Well her socks stay on but I do have some bootees. She's just rubbing them against the fabric on the chair

Katy44 · 17/07/2007 12:17

Not to mention the screams that are so loud they are actually silent

CaptainDippy · 17/07/2007 12:17

Mmmmm, gosh I am not sure norma - I am sure it is ok to put plasters on babies cos they do after their jabs at our Dr's surgery, but not sure whether it would heal v.well if you did. Thinking socks would probably protect her iyswim!!? TIP: Next baby socks STAY ON!!

TBH, P rather likes the Dyson ..... the girl has good taste!!

Right, need to feed DD2 .....

Thanks, Dippy and Katy for the sympathy. No chance for a rest...Izzy doesn't sleep much during the day...and I've got to go into work later

Not neglected Dippy...Izzy often watches me from the comfort of her seat.

Katy44 · 17/07/2007 12:18

Hope the bootees help, sounds painful, poor thing. She sounds very active!

octo · 17/07/2007 12:18

Haven't read - msn completely screwed up my computer - just sorting it out again.

MIL out of intensive care and now in high dependency unit - dh coming back today as ds1 birthdau tomorrow - but things are looking better by all accounts.

Must go - lunch, soft play, dh home, school run.....aarrgghhh

Hope all are okay - will catch up soon xxx

Katy44 · 17/07/2007 12:20

That's good news, hope she continues to improve

CaptainDippy · 17/07/2007 12:21

P doesn't sleep much during the day either either Ange - so much sympathy here hon!! {{{Hugs}}} Perhaps a little BF lying on the bed would give you even the tiniest rest - that's what I resort to with P sometimes when I am really knackered - on the rare occasions the other two are out .....

OCTO captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk - Email me your address so I can send you this Doidy cup - it is taking up space on my floor and I need to hoover!!!!!

Sorry took me so long to post that...I xposts with loads of you.

Poor Erin, Nutty - Agree I would just put socks on.

I too get the traumatised looks etc...shame she can't keep it up once she's picked up

normabutty · 17/07/2007 12:25

Thanks everyone...will put the socks back on!!! Chair cover will now have to be washed.

CD - I've emailed you Octo's address!

AngeG · 17/07/2007 12:25

gosh how busy...x posts again...

Good news about your Mil Octo...hope she continues to improve.

Good idea Dippy...will try that in a while I think. Although bearing in mind how little sleep I've had I'm feeling pretty good

mammyjoMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 12:48

Good to hear your MIL is improving Octo.
Ange, didnt realise you were back to work already. I am back around 12th September and that is way to soon for me! Really dont want to go back and it will only be for one day a week so not exactly many hours. How do you manage with bf and work? Would be grateful for any thoughts on that. Do I take my pump to work and express during the day or what? That is assuming I am still bf then, but cant imagine why I wouldnt be.

What is a doidy cup?

Katy44 · 17/07/2007 12:55

oh mammyjo - where have you been amid all the doidy cup talk? We've all got one now you know Dippy has been selling them very cheaply

AngeG · 17/07/2007 12:55

Mammyjo - I work for our family run business...so haven't really had any maternity leave. I was working up til the day before I had Izzy and was back 2/3weeks later. I only do 1 or 2 days a week so it's not too bad.

Sorry I can't help with BF question as I take Izzy with me. Not something I'd recommend tbh it makes is twice as hard work.

I would think it will depend on how regularly you are feeding Ffion and how many hours you are working...would be easier not to express I suppose, but you may need to to be comfortable...sorry that's not much help is it.

mammyjoMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 13:37

Must have been asleep during doidy cup talk. Having said that, sleep is often in short supply so was obviously daydreaming!!
Have never seen a doidy cup before today!

Ange, I will be working 10 hour days and would def not be able to take F with me (am a nurse in a hospital so no way can have baby in tow). I know I wont last 10 hours without expressing, more like 12 hours by the time I add on travelling too. I suppose I will just have to make time during work and go off a couple of times during the day to express.

normabutty · 17/07/2007 13:40

why does the rain start as soon as I'm able to go out???

mammyjoMcGonagall · 17/07/2007 13:52

Its that law of the sod again!

normabutty · 17/07/2007 13:56
